20220203496 · 2022-06-30 ·

The present disclosure relates to a polishing pad, a method for manufacturing the polishing pad, and a method for manufacturing a semiconductor device using the polishing pad. The polishing pad increases the area in direct contact with the semiconductor substrate during the polishing process and can prevent defects occurring on the surface of the semiconductor substrate by forming a plurality of uniform pores in the polishing layer, thereby adjusting the surface roughness characteristics of the polishing surface of the polishing layer. Further, the present disclosure may provide a method for manufacturing a semiconductor device to which the polishing pad is applied.

Composite product and a process for producing said product

The present invention relates to a method of making a foamed cellulosic fiber-thermoplastic composite article. The method includes the steps of providing a copolymer composition, combining the copolymer composition and cellulosic fibers, applying heat, mixing energy and pressure to form a foamable mixture, and forming the foamable article in a molding or extruding operation. The method is characterized in that at least 10% of the cellulosic fibers have been thermally modified prior to being combined with the copolymer composition.

Method and device for producing a particle foam part
11358310 · 2022-06-14 · ·

This invention concerns a process for producing particle foam part in which foam particles are heated in a molding tool so that they weld to the particle foam part. Heat is supplied to the foam particles by means of electromagnetic RF radiation. The foam particles are made of polyurethane (PU), polylactate (PLA), polyethylene block amide (PEBA) or polyethylene terephthalate (PET).

Method and flexible lattice foams

A method of making a foamed article, for example a foamed component for an article or footwear, comprises forming a structure of interconnected, unfoamed, thermoplastic polymeric members spaced to define openings between the thermoplastic polymeric members. The structure may be made by printing a thermoplastic polymeric material with a three-dimensional printer. The thermoplastic polymeric members are heated to a first temperature to soften the thermoplastic polymeric members and the softened thermoplastic polymeric members are infused with at least one inert gas at a first pressure greater than atmospheric pressure. The first pressure is sufficient to cause the at least one inert gas to permeate into the softened thermoplastic polymeric members. After being infused with the inert gas, the pressure is reduced to at least partially foam the thermoplastic polymeric members.

The present invention is an artificial tree consisting of a shape such as conical wherein there is an artificial outer layer, e.g., artificial grass, a solidified foam core, and a post molded into the foam core.

METHOD FOR PRODUCING RECORDED MATTER HAVING THREE-DIMENSIONAL IMAGE, DEVICE FOR PRODUCING RECORDED MATTER HAVING THREE-DIMENSIONAL IMAGE, AND FOAM-PROMOTING LIQUID
20230271357 · 2023-08-31 ·

A recorded matter having a three-dimensional image is produced by a method comprising the steps of: applying, to a recording medium including a substrate and a foaming layer provided thereon, a foam-promoting liquid containing water and a foam-promoting component; and heating the foaming layer. The foaming layer contains a binder resin and a foaming particle which foams as heated, while the foam-promoting component lowers a foaming start temperature of the foaming particle. The foaming particle includes a shell layer containing a thermoplastic resin and a volatile material encapsulated in the shell layer. The binder resin contains a water-insoluble resin, while the foam-promoting component contains a compound having no hydroxyl group.

OPEN CELL POLYMER FOAM COMPOSITION WITH TUNABLE TORTUOSITY AND METHOD OF MAKING THE SAME

A polymer composition including a crosslinkable thermoplastic matrix, a crosslinking agent, a blowing agent, and at least one cell opener is provided. A method of producing an open cell polymer foam from the polymer composition is also provided. The method includes heating a foamable precursor under positive pressure to a temperature greater than a decomposition temperature of the crosslinking agent and below a decomposition temperature of the chemical blowing agent to produce a primary foam. Then, the method includes heating the primary foam to a temperature greater than the decomposition temperature of the chemical blowing agent and then allowing the primary foam to cool to a temperature below a softening temperature of the crosslinkable thermoplastic polymer to form the open cell polymer foam. The produced open cell polymer foam has an open cell content of at least 80% immediately following the step of allowing the primary foam to cool.
