CURABLE COMPOSITION FOR MECHANICAL FOAMING AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING FOAM OF THE SAME
A curable composition for mechanical foaming has a complex viscosity η* that satisfies the following conditions (A) and (B) in frequency dependence measurement by a rheometer: condition (A): η* at 0.1 Hz and 25° C. is in a range of 1000 to 50000 Pa.Math.s; and condition (B): η* at 10.0 Hz and 25° C. is in a range of 100 to 1000 Pa.Math.s.
The curing form of the curable composition for mechanical foaming is not a moisture curing form.
System and methods for a foaming process
A foaming process and a method for operation of the foaming process are provided. The method includes flowing a molten polymeric material into a mold from an upstream device, receiving the molten polymeric material in a cavity of the mold, and maintaining a repeatable, uniform pressure profile as the molten polymeric material is delivered into the mold.
Biodegradable and Industrially Compostable Injection Molded Microcellular Flexible Foams, and a Method of Manufacturing the Same
A process for injection molded microcellular foaming various flexible foam compositions from biodegradable and industrially compostable bio-derived thermoplastic resins for use in, for example, footwear components, seating components, protective gear components, and watersport accessories wherein a process of manufacturing includes the steps of: producing a suitable thermoplastic biopolymer or biopolymer blend; injection molding the thermoplastic biopolymer or biopolymer blend into a suitable mold shape with inert nitrogen gas; controlling the polymer melt, pressure, temperature, and time such that a desirable flexible foam is formed; and utilizing gas counterpressure in the injection molding process to ensure the optimal foam structure with the least amount of cosmetic defects and little to no plastic skin on the outside of the foamed structure.
2-part reactive urethane resin composition and method for producing thereof
Provided is a material having an excellent sound-absorbing performance which can be easily applied to the desired area at the operation site and which can effectively prevent sound leakage. The material includes an open-cell soft polyurethane foam prepared from a 2-part reactive urethane resin composition prepared from a polyisocyanate component and a polyol-containing component, wherein the polyol-containing component comprises a polyol component, catalysts, a foam stabilizer, an amine compound having primary or secondary amino groups, and carbon dioxide; wherein an average sound absorption coefficient of said polyurethane foam is 30% or more, measured in accordance with JIS A 1405-2:2007 for 63 hertz to 5000 hertz; and the length of liquid-dripping is within 300 mm.
METHODS, SYSTEMS AND COMPUTER PROGRAM PRODUCTS FOR PRODUCING RIGID FOAM BOARDS USING OPTICAL AND INFRARED IMAGING
Disclosed are methods, systems and computer program products for producing rigid foam board, comprising: depositing a foam producing mixture on a facer as it travels along a conveyor; producing a rigid foam board via an exothermic reaction; imaging the rigid foam board after it is produced but before it has cooled to room temperature, using an infrared or an optical imaging device, to capture an image of the rigid foam board; receiving a signal comprising the captured image from the imaging device to a computing device; determining, based on the captured image, if a defect that requires correction exists in the rigid foam board; and optionally, in response to determining that a defect requiring correction exists, modifying a process parameter in producing rigid foam board.
