Disclosed are injection molds, injected molded articles, and methods for using the same. The injected molds include a mold cavity and an injection molding conduit having a first end, a second end defining an outlet in fluid communication with the mold cavity, a first interior transverse dimension that is perpendicular to a longitudinal axis of the injection molding conduit, a second interior transverse dimension that is perpendicular to the longitudinal axis and to the first interior transverse dimension, and at the second end, the second interior transverse dimension is at least three times larger than the first interior transverse dimension, and the second interior transverse dimension of the injection molding conduit is substantially aligned with a thickness of a portion of the mold cavity that is adjacent to the outlet of the injection molding conduit.
MOLDING DIE AND PLATE-SHAPED OPTICAL COMPONENT FABRICATED USING SAME, AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SAME
An aspect of a mold is for forming therein a cavity for producing a plate-like optical component. The mold includes a stationary mold half, and a movable mold half which forms the cavity in cooperation with the stationary mold half. The stationary mold half includes a first surface mold member for forming a first surface which is one of obverse and reverse surfaces of the plate-like optical component, and a first peripheral mold member for connecting a cavity-side surface of the movable mold half and a cavity-side surface of the first surface mold member. The first peripheral mold member inclines or curves to cause a dimension of the cavity in a direction of a plane approximately parallel to the first surface to become gradually smaller as being closer to the first surface.
VERY LOW DRAFT HOUSINGS AND METHODS OF MANUFACTURING
A housing and methods of manufacturing a housing are described. The housing may include a plurality of faces and a plurality of surfaces. Two of the plurality of surfaces may be parallel to within 1 degree. The at least two of the plurality of surfaces are without parting lines formed by interfacing tool components.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING A TOOTHBRUSH, AND TOOTHBRUSH
A grip body of a body care article, such as toothbrush, includes a grip part, a neck part, and a head part. The grip body includes a first and a second material component of a thermoplastic plastic. Manufacturing of the grip body is performed via an injection moulding tool with at least one tool cavity, and the grip body including a first, second, and third material component of a first, second, and third thermoplastic material, respectively.
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING INJECTION-MOLDED BODY
This invention has an object to provide a method for manufacturing an injection-molded product of a resin composition containing a P3HA-based resin, the method enabling stable continuous production without generating flash. This object is attained by the method for manufacturing, with use of a mold apparatus, the injection-molded product of the resin composition containing the P3HA-based resin, the method including the step of: before filling a mold with the resin composition by injection, carrying out pressure reduction by reducing a gage pressure inside a cavity of the mold so as to be not more than 0.02 MPa, the mold apparatus including the mold which has a parting line being in contact with the cavity in the mold and having a maximum width which is not more than 50 m when the mold is closed.
Sealing member, scroll compressor including a sealing member and method for manufacturing a sealing member for a scroll compressor
A scroll compressor is provided that may include a casing, a discharge cover fixed inside of the casing, a first scroll revolved a rotational shaft, a second scroll provided on the first scroll to define compression chambers, the second scroll having an intermediate pressure discharge hole that communicates with a compression chamber of the compression chambers having an intermediate pressure, a back pressure plate provided on the second scroll and having an intermediate pressure suction hole that communicates with the intermediate pressure discharge hole, a floating plate movably provided at a side of the back pressure plate and defining a back pressure chamber, and a sealing member provided between the back pressure plate and the floating plate, the sealing member including a sealing body, and at least one protrusion provided at an incline with respect to a central line that extends in a horizontal direction of the sealing body.
Spout for flexible thin-walled packagings
A thin-walled flexible package is provided with a spout comprising a connection portion and a tube having an outer surface and ending with an outlet mouth. A sacrificial closure is applied to the spout to close the outlet mouth. The sacrificial closure comprises a skirt suitable for sealingly engaging the outer surface of the tube at a sealing region having a sealing distance from the outlet mouth. On the outer surface of the tube there is a circumferential dividing line having a division distance from the outlet mouth. The sealing distance is less than the division distance.
CARRIER OVER FABRIC
A seat assembly includes a fabric component having a seat surface and a carrier attached to the fabric component. The carrier includes a variable thickness along the perimeter of the carrier. The fabric component includes two or more tension zones.
CYLINDRICAL ARTICLE MADE OF FIBER-REINFORCED RESIN MATERIAL, INJECTION MOLDING MOLD THEREOF, AND INJECTION MOLDING METHOD
An injection molding mold 2 where a molten resin containing reinforcing fibers is injected from a gate 11 into a cavity 5 to join the molten resins containing the reinforcing fibers together in the cavity 5 to form a weld portion. The injection molding mold 2 includes a reinforcing fiber orientation change concave portion 20 formed at a position displaced from the weld portion. The reinforcing fiber orientation change concave portion 20 opens to the cavity 5. The reinforcing fiber orientation change concave portion 20 causes the molten resins containing the reinforcing fibers 25 in the cavity 5 to partially flow into the reinforcing fiber orientation change concave portion 20 to disturb directions of the reinforcing fibers at the weld portion. Consequently, the reinforcing fibers at the weld portion and near the weld portion in the cylindrical article 1 tangle, thus improving the strength at the weld portion in the cylindrical article 1.
