A method for the production of a suction jet pump delivering fuel into or out of a fuel tank, wherein the suction jet pump has a flow channel and a nozzle, and wherein the flow channel forms a feed line to the nozzle and the flow channel is formed in one piece with the nozzle, the method including, in the following order: placing a mold core into a matrix to produce the suction jet pump by injection molding and form a cavity between the mold core and the matrix; encapsulating the mold core and filling the cavity formed between mold core and matrix with a plastic; removing the mold core through an installation opening, arranged opposite the nozzle, in the flow channel; and closing the installation opening by thermal deformation, in the edge region of the installation opening, of the plastic used for the production of the suction jet pump.

Inside out method of manufacturing a container with a leak resistant seal
11279526 · 2022-03-22 · ·

Embodiments include a method of manufacturing a container with a leak resistant seal. The method includes forming an elastomer or a plastic or any combination thereof into a container inside out by forming an outside portion of the container on an internal surface of the container before inverting the container and forming an inside portion of the container on an external surface of the container before inverting the container. In embodiments, the method includes forming or coupling a leak resistant seal on the external surface of the container before inverting the container. The leak resistant seal provides access to the inside portion of the container when the leak resistant seal is open after inverting the container and holds at least liquid internal to the container when applying an external force to the container without use of an external structure to keep the leak resistant seal closed after inverting the container.

Door lining upper base and method of manufacture

This disclosure provides a door lining upper base and a method of manufacturing the door lining upper base through injection molding of several sub-components. The door lining upper base is manufactured by separately injection molding a base substrate that forms the structural shape of the door lining upper base including aesthetic curvature, and first and second support structures that include attachment mechanism for connecting the door lining upper base to other aspects of the motor vehicle. In this way, each sub-component may be injection molded in a cost effective manner using a two-piece mold without the need for complex multi-part molds including side-sliders or lifters. The resulting door lining upper base therefore includes an aesthetic curvature, while still being manufactured in an efficient and cost effective manner.
