NASAL POWDER DELIVERY DEVICE
A nasal delivery device for a powder, having a reservoir, a delivery head and an air discharge system generating a flow of compressed air. The air discharge system has an air chamber, formed by a hollow axial cylinder, and a piston that sealingly slides in the air chamber to compress the air. The hollow axial cylinder has a radial shoulder connecting a first cylinder portion and a second cylinder portion. Before actuation, the piston is at the first cylinder portions and, during actuation, the piston sealingly cooperates with the second cylinder portion. The radial shoulder defines a profile that the piston overcomes at start of actuation. The piston has an upper lip and a lower lip, a skirt around the hollow axial cylinder with a lower flange projecting radially inward. The skirt has a profile radially projecting towards the inside, cooperating before actuation with the lower lip of the piston.
DISPENSING ASSEMBLY COMPRISING A LATERAL ACTUATION DEVICE FOR A FLUID PRODUCT DISPENSER
Dispensing assembly, comprising a fluid product dispenser, such as a nasal dispenser, wherein the fluid product dispenser comprises a reservoir (10) provided with a bottom (11), a dispensing member (20), such as a pump or a valve, mounted on the reservoir (10), and a dispensing head (30) incorporating a dispensing orifice (31), the dispensing assembly comprising a lateral actuation device comprising a body (1) and a lateral actuation element (40) mounted so as to pivot on the body (1) about a pivot axis (45) between a rest position and an actuation position, the actuation element (40) comprising a bearing part (41), which is pressed by the user during actuation and a pushing part (42) designed to cooperate with the fluid product dispenser to effect the actuation thereof, the pivot axis (45) being arranged between the bearing part (41) and the pushing part (42), the lateral actuation member (40) having an S or inverted S shape, the bearing part (41) being arranged near the dispensing head (30) and the pushing part (42) being arranged under the bottom (11) of the reservoir (10).

In general, drug administration devices configured to communicate with networks and external devices are provided. In an exemplary embodiment, a drug administration device is configured to adjust an operational parameter of the drug administration device based on a data packet formed from drug administration data ancillary data received from networks and/or external devices. In another example embodiment, a drug administration device is configured to scan for and establish communications with at least one external device. In another example embodiment, a method includes assessing whether to update a control program on a drug administration device from a network or external device. In another example embodiment, a system includes a first drug administration device configured to communicate with a second drug administration device to optimize a drug treatment.
APPARATUS FOR AND METHODS OF ADMINISTERING VOLATILE AND/OR NON-VOLATILE SUBSTANCES INTO AN INHALATION FLOW PATH
A method of introducing a vapor of at least one substance into an inhalation flow path of a respiratory organ is provided. The method describes providing a carrier conformable to a surface of skin; providing the carrier with at least one substance; providing a barrier coupled to a surface of the carrier, the barrier being substantially impermeable to the substances carried by the carrier; providing a polyethylene coated material disposed within or atop the barrier and configured as a clamp for a septum of a user, wherein the polyethylene coated material is heat sealed within the barrier; and engaging the carrier to the surface of skin proximate an inhalation flow path of a respiratory organ with the barrier adapted to be interposed between the carrier and the skin to prevent the one or more substances from contacting the skin; wherein the substance is volatile and/or non-volatile; wherein the carrier is impregnated with nanocapsules during production. A vehicle for introducing a vapor is also provided.
Nasal compositions and method of use thereof
A nasal composition is provided comprising or consisting of a first composition part in the form of a liquid for nasal application to a patient in use, and a second composition part in the form of a powder for nasal application to the patient in use. The first and second composition parts are applied to the patient separately or together as required.
