A vehicular trailer hitching assist system includes a rear backup camera disposed at a rear portion of a vehicle and a control disposed in the vehicle. A display device includes a video display screen operable to display video images for viewing by a driver of the vehicle. During a hitching maneuver event undertaken by the driver to hitch a trailer hitch of the vehicle to a trailer tongue of a trailer, and while the driver of the vehicle is maneuvering the vehicle to hitch the vehicle to the trailer, the control outputs video images derived from image data captured by the rear backup camera for display by the video display screen. At least one overlay overlays the displayed video images to guide the driver during the hitching maneuver. The at least one overlay aids in guiding connection of the trailer hitch of the vehicle to the trailer tongue of the trailer.

MULTI-LAYERED SHEET AND TRANSFER MATERIAL

A multi-layered sheet includes a substrate sheet and a thermally curable layer that is disposed on a surface of the substrate sheet and can be disposed on at least a part of a surface of a mold resin, wherein the thermally curable layer is an uppermost layer of the multi-layered sheet, the thermally curable layer includes a product of active energy ray-curable resin cured or half-cured by active energy ray, and the thermally curable layer has: a thermally reactive group that can react and thermally cure with a material component of the mold resin; and a polysiloxane chain.

COMBINATION OF MOLD AND RELEASE FILM, RELEASE FILM, MOLD, AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING MOLDED ARTICLE

An object of the invention is to provide a method for conditioning a surface of a molded article. The present invention relates to a combination of a mold used for curing a thermosetting resin and a release film placed between the thermosetting resin and the mold during the curing. The release film comprises a base layer formed of a thermoplastic resin and a surface layer formed of a particle-containing fluororesin and laminated to the face which is placed during the curing on the side of the thermosetting resin among the two faces of the base layer. The mold has an irregularity formed on the face brought into contact with the release film during the curing.

Method of Forming a Foldable or Collapsible Plastic and/or Composite Utility Enclosure
20220145612 · 2022-05-12 ·

A method of forming and assembling a foldable plastic utility enclosure using molds to form sides of the enclosure, preferably using glass fiber-reinforced thermoplastic composite. The molds are constructed to form a central hole in hinge members which are formed on ends of the sides. The central hole of the hinge member is molded with two molding parts, wherein one or both of the molding parts have a solid central portion that forms the central hole. The sides are removed from the molds after curing and the sides are assembled to form the utility enclosure while the sides are still hot from the molding process. Hinge pins are inserted into the central holes of the hinge members to form hinges and to prevent the sides from warping during cooling. Assembling the sides and inserting hinge pins to form the utility enclosure is completed within approximately 10 minutes after removing the sides from the molds.

A method for assembling a vehicular interior rearview mirror assembly includes providing a mirror mount, a mirror casing, a mirror reflective element at the mirror casing, and a toggle mechanism, which includes a body portion and a toggle lever joined to the body portion. A lower pivot mount of the toggle mechanism is inserted into a lower receiving portion of the mirror casing and an upper pivot mount of the toggle mechanism is inserted into an upper receiving portion of the mirror casing. An outer surface of the body portion corresponds with adjacent outer surfaces of the mirror casing. With a pivot element of the toggle mechanism attached at the mirror mount, and when the toggle lever pivots relative to the lower receiving portion of the mirror casing, the mirror casing pivots relative to the body portion to flip the mirror head between a first orientation and a second orientation.

Cable gland for guiding a cable through a wall opening, comprising a body element extending along a longitudinal axis and having an internal cable duct extending along the longitudinal axis, a clamping portion arranged on the body element and having a plurality of clamping elements, a tubular sealing element arranged inside the cable duct and connected to the body element, and a cap nut having an axial opening at one end which is mechanically coupled with the body element, wherein the body element is formed from a first material and the cap nut is formed from a second material, wherein the first material and the second material are injection moulded on to one another.

Fiber-composite bicycle frame article formed on molded mandrel

A method for the manufacture of a fiber-composite article for a bicycle frame or other bicycle component uses an outer mold configured to define an outer surface of the fiber-composite article and an inner mold configured to define an inner surface of the fiber-composite article. The method comprises: securing in the inner mold a supportive armature for a space-filling mandrel, the mandrel being configured to occupy a space within the inner surface of the fiber-composite article during lay up and curing of the fiber-composite article; forming the mandrel by injection molding a solidifiable fluid into the inner mold, around the armature, the solidifiable fluid being configured to form a solidified, molded material; applying a fiber composition to the mandrel; securing the mandrel with the fiber composition in the outer mold; heating the fiber composition in the outer mold to form the fiber-composite article and concurrently heating the solidified, molded material. In this manner, the fiber composition is compressed into the outer mold due to expansion of the solidified, molded material.

Vehicular trailer hitching assist system

A vehicular trailer hitching assist system includes a rear backup camera disposed at a rear portion of a vehicle and a control disposed in the vehicle. A display device includes a video display screen operable to display video images for viewing by a driver of the vehicle. Responsive to the driver initiating a hitching maneuver event by engaging reverse gear of the vehicle, rear backup video images derived from image data captured by the rear backup camera are displayed at the video display screen. An overlay overlays the displayed rear backup video images and aids in guiding connection of a trailer hitch of the equipped vehicle to a trailer tongue of a trailer. Continued display of rear backup video images that are overlaid by the overlay is ceased upon elapse of a threshold period of time or upon exceeding a threshold speed or upon exceeding a threshold distance traveled.
