MOLDING UNIT AND METHOD OF MOLDING AN ARTICLE
A molding unit has a first molding station having a first mold having a first mold cavity, a second molding station having a second mold having a second mold cavity, a transfer unit having a support and at least a first core extending from the support. The transfer unit is arranged for moving the first core into a first molding position at the first molding station and into a second molding position at the second molding station. The first core extends into the first mold cavity when the first core is in the first molding position and into the second mold cavity when the first core is in the second molding position. A core actuation unit is arranged so that at least at the first molding station the first core is moved relative to the support from a first core position into a second core position when the first core is moved into the first molding position.
Filled hollow structure and tool for manufacturing same
A filled hollow structure includes an open hollow structure from a first material. The open hollow structure is at least partially closed by a closing structure. The hollow structure is filled with a filler medium. The filled hollow structure is overmoulded with a second material.
Composite component and method for producing a composite component
A composite component and methods for producing a composite component are described herein. In some aspects, a method for producing a composite component may include molding a body from a plastic material, such that the molded body has at least one recess arranged adjacent to at least one respective projection. This method may also include pressing the at least one respective projection such that the plastic material of the molded body is thereby displaced into an opening-side region of the at least one recess adjacent thereto. The method may further include introducing flowable filler material into the at least one recess and solidifying the filler material. The filler material may be an electrically conductive filler material.
Mold assembly for active grille shutter system
An active grille shutter system (AGS) that is assembled from modular components, thereby allowing the AGS to be any desired width or height when assembled. This allows for the creation of different sized AGS for different vehicle platforms, while assembling the AGS from a stock of components that is common to each AGS. The invention is also directed to a method of forming a base integrated end cap with moveable vane retainers and a link arm using a two shot molding process.
PROCESS FOR FORMING A TWO LAYER PLASTIC DEVICE WITH TEXTURES OR DRAWINGS THEREON AND DEVICES MADE OF THE SAME
A process for forming a two layer plastic device with textures or drawings thereon and a structure formed by the structure are provided. An inner bottom layer has textures or drawings on the surface thereof which includes at least one enclosing space. A through hole is formed on the enclosing space so that the masking material can be filled into the space between the outer mold and the inner mold. Then the masking material enters into the enclosing space through the through hole. As a result, only one mold (the outer mold) is necessary for forming the masking layer, while in the prior art, two molds are needed. The whole process can be completed mechanically without any manual operation. A color of the masking layer may be different from that of the inner bottom layer so that the textures or drawings clearly exposes on the surface of the masking layer.
DOUBLE INJECTION MOLDING SYSTEM THAT CAN AUTOMATICALLY PRODUCE VEHICLE INJECTION-MOLDED PARTS FOUR AT A TIME CONTINUOUSLY
Provided is a double injection molding system capable of continuously and automatically manufacturing four molded products for a vehicle at a time, the double injection molding system including: a first molding device which molds the openable plates of the molded products for a vehicle through injection of plastic; a second molding device which receives the openable plates and molds the sealing portions through injection of rubber around the openable plates to finish the molded products; and a transport device which takes out the openable plates formed by the molding device and transports the openable plates, to the second molding device, so that the double injection molding process of the openable plates and the sealing portions is automated to secure product reliability and to improve productivity.
METHODS FOR CONTROLLING CO-INJECTION PLASTIC PRESSURE RATIO BETWEEN INDIVIDUAL FLOW FRONT LAYERS
A method and system for co-injection molding of two molten plastic materials that allows monitoring and utilization of injection pressure and optionally melt pressure and/or flow front pressure during an injection run. A controller alters the injection pressure so as to achieve and maintain optimal or desired ratios of injection pressure, and optionally melt pressure and/or flow front pressure, of the two molten plastic materials. This allows for more precise part manufacture, including reducing the thickness of a skin or shell layer compared to a core layer of a molded part.
BLOWING AGENT INTRODUCTION IN POLYMER FOAM PROCESSING METHODS AND SYSTEMS
Blowing agent introduction polymeric foam processing methods and systems are described herein.
Oral Care Implement Having Multi-Component Handle
A method of forming a handle for an oral care implement. The method may include first forming a core structure out of a first hard plastic. Next, an elongated handle body may be formed out of a second hard plastic, whereby during formation the elongated handle body is made to partially surround the core structure, while leaving opposing surfaces of the core structure exposed. Finally, a grip cover may be formed out of a resilient material and positioned over at least a portion of the elongated handle body. The oral care implement handle formed by the method may include a handle having an elongated handle body and a core structure. The elongated handle body may have openings in opposing surfaces. The core structure may be partially surrounded by the elongated handle body while protruding from the openings.
INFUSION DEVICE WITH RELEASABLE FLUID CONNECTOR
An infusion set system includes a base and a fluid connector removably coupleable thereto. The fluid connector includes a fluid path portion and at least one connector latch displaceably connected to the fluid path portion and displaceable to a latching position in which at least a portion of the connector latch extends into the fluid path portion, which includes a cannula extending from a top interior surface thereof, and a plurality of internal sidewalls corresponding to at least two of a plurality of flat side surfaces of at least one of a base section and a base latch, thereby facilitating connection between the base and the fluid connector in a plurality of discrete rotational connecting positions. When the fluid connector is locked to the base, the at least one connector latch engages a base latching portion of the base and restricts proximal displacement of the fluid connector.
