MOLDED BODY AND SHAPING MOLD
A molded body includes: a first resin part; a metal part that is covered by the first resin part and that has a protrusion portion which protrudes from a first end portion of the first resin part; and a second resin part that has a second end portion which is positioned on an opposite side of the protrusion portion with respect to the first end portion in an extension direction of the protrusion portion and that covers the first resin part in a state where the first resin part protrudes in the extension direction.
Extruded multi-layer molded running board
A vehicle running board includes opposing vertical walls extending along a length of a tubular structure and including a carbon-fiber component. Opposing horizontal walls extend between the opposing vertical walls and include a glass component. The opposing vertical and opposing horizontal walls form the tubular structure having a generally rectilinear cross section. A polymer outer covering extends over the opposing vertical and opposing horizontal walls.
LENS HEATING SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR AN LED LIGHTING SYSTEM
Systems and methods for lighting system lens heating are described. The systems and methods include a substantially clear thermoplastic substrate; and a conductive ink or film circuit on the thermoplastic substrate.
CURVED SURFACE RESIN STRUCTURE, ELECTRONIC LIGHT CONTROL LENS, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING CURVED SURFACE RESIN STRUCTURE
A curved surface resin structure includes a support, and a laminate section within a plane of the support, where at least a conductive layer and an electronic material layer are laminated in the laminate section. A surface curvature radius rA1 (mm) of end of the laminate section, a surface curvature radius rA2 (mm) of another end of the laminate section facing the one end with a center region of the laminate section present at a middle point, and an average curvature a radius rB (mm) of a surface of the laminate section satisfy Inequality (1): rA1, rA2<rB, or Inequality (2): rA1, rA2>rB.
Blow molded multilayer article with color gradient
A blow molded multilayer article with a hollow body defined by a wall with an inner surface and an outer surface. The outer surface has an axial color gradient. The wall has multiple layers and at least one layer optionally contains an effect pigment and/or an opacifying pigment.
ONE-PIECE VEHICLE ROOF RAIL
A roof rail for a vehicle is provided that is made of only one piece and is solid across its length. The roof rail may be made using a co-injection molding process, a two-shot injection molding process or an extrusion molding process.
MULTI-LAYER INJECTION MOLDED CONTAINER
A coinjection molded multi-layer container includes an inner layer, an outer layer, and a barrier layer. The inner layer includes a first polymeric material and forms an inside surface of the container. The outer layer includes the first polymeric material and forms an outside surface of the container. The barrier layer is located between the inner layer and the outer layer and includes a second polymeric material less permeable to gas than the first polymeric material. The barrier layer is biased toward the inside surface or the outside surface such that the inner layer and the outer layer have different thicknesses.
Process for Producing a Bioplastics Product
A process for producing a biomaterial product based on sunflower seed hulls/sunflower seed husks comprising providing or producing a sunflower plastic compound (SPC) compounded material (SPC PBS, SPC PBSA), wherein the material is obtained by compounding a sunflower seed hull material/sunflower seed husk material with a biodegradable plastic, for example polybutylene succinate (PBS), polybutylene succinate-adipate (PBSA), or the like. The SPC compounded material is preferably used for producing an injection molded product, for example biodegradable containers, packagings, films or the like, in particular coffee capsules, tea capsules, urns, cups, plant pots, flowerpots, or the like.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR PRODUCING INJECTION-MOLDED PARTS BY A TWO-COMPONENT INJECTION-MOLDING TECHNIQUE AND INJECTION-MOLDED PART
A method for producing injection-molded parts by a two-component injection-molding technique in which a first material component is injected into a mold cavity and is displaced into peripheral regions of the mold cavity by injecting a second material component. The first material component is injected into a partial region of the mold cavity at a first gating point and the second material component is injected into the mold cavity at a second gating point and, as a result, the first material component is acted upon by the second material component and displaced in the direction of the regions of the mold to be filled with the first material component. The first material component is thereby displaced into regions of the mold at the wall, and the second material component is introduced in those regions of the mold as a core material and completely into other regions of the mold.
CLOSED CAPSULE WITH OPENING MEANS AND INTEGRAL BARRIER LAYER
The invention relates to a capsule (10) designed for food or beverage preparation, the capsule (10) comprising a cup-shaped base body (1), a top wall (2) and a bottom retaining wall (3) for holding food or beverage preparation ingredients, wherein the base body (1) is made of one single injection-molded piece and wherein a side wall (4) of the base body comprises at least one co-injected multilayer section (5) having two outer layers (5a) being made from a different polymeric material than a core layer (5b), and wherein the base body (1) further comprises a bottom structure (6) which is integrally molded with the side wall (4) and comprising opening means (7) allowing the capsule to be opened at the time of its use.
