2-SHOT MOLDED ARTICLE WITH MULTIPLE ELECTRICAL CURRENT PATHWAYS
A molded article includes a first plateable region spaced apart from a second plateable region the first plateable region by a barrier of electrically insulating material. Each of the plateable regions include an associated plateable layer of electrically conductive material for being electroplated with a different plateable finish. Several different geometries and configurations of the barrier and/or the plateable regions are provided to prevent migration of plating material from one of the plateable regions acting as bipolar electrode while another one of the plateable regions is being electroplated. A non-plateable insert may be disposed between the plateable regions to prevent migration of plating material from one of the plateable regions onto the other one of the plateable regions. A conducive robber in electrical communication with one of the one of the plateable regions, and which may be removable, may also be used to prevent migration of plating material.
Steering wheel and method of manufacturing same
A steering wheel is provided with a heater element on the rim. The heater element is mounted at least on a part of a core of the rim, and a cladding layer formed from synthetic resin foam covers an outer circumference of the heater element. The heater element includes a cord-shaped heater and a base material. The base material includes an insulation sheet that is formed from synthetic resin foam and disposed to face towards the core and a permeable sheet that is formed from non-metal which allows permeation of the cladding layer. The insulation sheet and permeable sheet are bonded together and sandwich and support the cord-shaped heater there between.
DIAGNOSTIC APPARATUS USING CONDUCTIVE PLASTIC AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SAME
The present invention relates to a diagnostic apparatus and a method for manufacturing the same. The diagnostic apparatus according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises a base plate including an insulator, and one or more electrodes formed by penetrating through the base plate and causing a fluid located on a surface to be moved based on an applied voltage, in which the base plate is formed by injecting the insulator into a first space of a mold by a first injection gate, and the electrode is formed by injecting conductive plastic into a second space of the mold by a second injection gate distinct from the first injection gate.
CURVED SURFACE RESIN STRUCTURE, ELECTRONIC LIGHT CONTROL LENS, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING CURVED SURFACE RESIN STRUCTURE
A curved surface resin structure includes a support, and a laminate section within a plane of the support, where at least a conductive layer and an electronic material layer are laminated in the laminate section. A surface curvature radius rA1 (mm) of end of the laminate section, a surface curvature radius rA2 (mm) of another end of the laminate section facing the one end with a center region of the laminate section present at a middle point, and an average curvature a radius rB (mm) of a surface of the laminate section satisfy Inequality (1): rA1, rA2<rB, or Inequality (2): rA1, rA2>rB.
Plastic component with at least one electrical contact element and method for the manufacture thereof
A plastic component with at least one electrical contact element has a plastic body and at least one electrical strip conductor, by which the electrical contact element can be electrically connected. Provisions are made for the plastic component to be manufactured by a combined injection molding and metal casting method, in which the plastic body is manufactured by an injection molding method and the at least one electrical strip conductor is manufactured by a metal casting or metal injection molding method one after another. The component formed last is molded onto the component formed first. Further, a method for manufacturing a corresponding plastic component is described.
COMPOSITE COMPONENT AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING A COMPOSITE COMPONENT
A composite component and methods for producing a composite component are described herein. In some aspects, a method for producing a composite component may include molding a body from a plastic material, such that the molded body has at least one recess arranged adjacent to at least one respective projection. This method may also include pressing the at least one respective projection such that the plastic material of the molded body is thereby displaced into an opening-side region of the at least one recess adjacent thereto. The method may further include introducing flowable filler material into the at least one recess and solidifying the filler material. The filler material may be an electrically conductive filler material.
Symbol button for vehicle and manufacturing method thereof
A manufacturing method of a symbol button for a vehicle includes: preparing a button body comprising a side portion, a top portion formed of a polymer material on which a metal is able to be plated; forming an electrically conductive layer on an outside of the button body using a conductive polymer material; forming a plating shielding layer in a form of a symbol using a material on which a metal is not able to be plated on the electrically conductive layer; and performing metal plating on the outside of the button body having the plating shielding layer.
Soft bistable magnetic actuator and fabrication method thereof, fatigue testing device and auto underwater vehicle
Disclosed are a soft bistable magnetic actuator, a fabrication method thereof, a fatigue testing device, and an auto underwater vehicle. The method for fabricating the soft bistable magnetic actuator includes the following operations: casting a soft precursor by injection molding, wherein the soft precursor consists of a soft deformable portion and a soft peripheral portion surrounded, the soft deformable portion is made of magnetic particles and polymer, and the soft peripheral portion is made of a magnetic particle, a mixture of organic liquid, and polymer; and extracting the organic liquid by an organic solvent shrinks the soft peripheral portion, buckles the soft deformable portion towards one side.
SWITCH HOUSING FOR CAPACITIVE SWITCHES
The switch housing for capacitive switches has an outer contact surface and flat electrode structures which are arranged on the inside and in a position opposite the contact surface and which are placed by two-component injection molding in recessed regions of the housing body injected from a first, electrically non-conductive plastic component by means of a second, electrically conductive plastic component. Preferably, both plastic components are a polycarbonate, the second plastic component containing carbon fibers.
