STACK MOLD CARRIER
A stack mold carrier for supporting a center mold section of an injection molding machine, including a platen assembly, is disclosed. The stack mold carrier includes a carrier base which includes a mold support portion for coupling with and supporting the center mold section. A linkage assembly is pre-installed on the carrier base and a first restraint system is provided for releasably retaining the linkage assembly in a first, non-operational position wherein the linkage assembly is fixed relative to the carrier base such that the stack mold carrier can be disposed on the platen assembly as an assembled unit. The stack mold carrier includes a second restraint system for releasably retaining the stack mold carrier on the platen assembly prior to connection with the center mold section.

The component part can be prepared using plastic injection molded methods for varying types of plastic resins and applying different surface finishing processes, and a combination of texture etching practices can be used on the injection mold tool steel to simulate conventional carbon fiber appearance.
Fabrication method for micro-/nanostructured compound-eye arrays with hydrophobicity and light trapping and applications thereof
The present invention relates to micro-/nanostructured compound-eye arrays and fabrication method thereof, and discloses a fabrication method and applications for the molded polymer parts with the micro-/nanostructured compound-eye arrays on their surfaces, which exhibit both hydrophobicity and light trapping. The fabrication method for the molded polymer parts with the micro-/nanostructured compound-eye arrays includes following steps. A flexible microlens array template is assembled; the flexible microlens array template is fixed on an injection mold cavity, and a polymer part with microlens arrays distributing on its surface is molded by using injection molding; the microlens arrays on the molded polymer part are imprinted onto the surface of an ultra-pure aluminum foil, nanopores are formed on its surface via anode oxidation, and so an aluminum template with negative micro-/nanostructured compound-eye arrays is fabricated; the aluminum template is fixed on an injection mold cavity, and a polymer part with micro-/nanostructured compound-eye arrays distributing on its surface is molded by using injection molding. The dual-level compound-eye arrays (orderly distributed convex semi-sphere microlens and densely distributed nanopillars) are developed on the surface of the molded polymer part, which exhibits both hydrophobicity and light trapping.

Device and method for injection molding
An injection molding device (1) includes a center part (3) and a rotating device (2) for rotating the center part (3) in the injection molding device (1). The rotating device (2) includes a base (4) supported with respect to an injection molding machine. A thereto attached column (5) extends in an axial direction (z) above the base (4). A sleeve (6) coaxially surrounds the column (5) and is at least partially arranged in the center part (3). The sleeve (6) rotates with the center part (3) around the column (5). The column (5) is arranged removable with respect to the center part (3).
Molding apparatus and methods
A plastic molding system comprises: dispensing, pre-shaping and shaping cells and a transport subsystem. The dispensing cell has a station for dispensing a dose of plastic feedstock. The pre-shaping and shaping cells each comprise a plurality of stations for shaping the workpiece into a preform shape and into a final shape, respectively. The transport subsystem advances a workpiece along a selected one of a plurality of process paths to form a molded article. Each of the plurality of process paths is defined by a combination of stations of the dispensing cell, the pre-shaping cell and the shaping cell.
MACHINE AND METHOD FOR OBTAINING A BI-MATERIAL PART, METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE MACHINE
A machine including a mold which delimits an overmolding cavity, for receiving a hollow portion of a bi-material part, cooling means along the overmolding cavity, a core positionable inside the hollow portion and containing heating means for bringing the core to a heating temperature higher than 150° C., and an injector injecting an overmolding material, formed by the core and the hollow portion, for forming an inner portion of the bi-material part. In order to obtain the overmolded inner portion even if the hollow portion has poor heat resistance, the cooling means maintain the overmolding cavity at a cooling temperature lower than 110° C. while the core is brought to the heating temperature, while the overmolding material has been injected by the injector into the overmolding cavity.
INJECTION MOLDING MOLD, INJECTION STRETCH BLOW MOLDING MACHINE, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING HOLLOW MOLDED BODY
When a hollow molded body using a preform to be molded with a thin bottom portion is produced while taking advantage of the roughening of the outer surface of an injection core mold, transferred roughening marks are prevented from appearing on the bottom portion of hollow molded bodies, so that the hollow molded body with an aesthetic bottom portion is obtained. An injection core mold (12) has an outer surface of its tip portion corresponding to a preform bottom portion (10) and a lower end portion (14a) of a preform body portion (14). The outer surface corresponding to the preform bottom portion (10) and the lower end portion (14a) of the preform body portion (14) is a mirror-finished surface (20), and the outer surface of the injection core mold for forming the preform other than the mirror-finished surface is a roughened surface (15).
REMOVEABLE HELMET COVER AND METHODS OF MANUFACTURE
The present invention is directed to injection molded articles as well as methods of manufacture of the same. The injection molded article is a helmet cover for a protective helmet, and more particularly a replaceable helmet cover for enhancing the aesthetic outer appearance of a helmet used in military, construction, manufacturing, and/or contact sports such as American football, baseball, lacrosse, hockey, equestrian, skiing, snowboarding, and the like.
CLOSURE DEVICE FOR CONTAINER
A closure device for a container that defines a neck and an annular flange. The closure device comprises a cap body, a tamper evidence (TE) band positioned below the annular flange, a tongue that extends from the cap body towards the tamper evidence band and first and second leashes positioned on either side of the tongue. The first and second leashes connect the cap body to the tamper evidence (TE) band, and allow the cap body to be removed from the neck of the container while remaining attached to the tamper evidence (TE) band. When the cap body is actuated to a fully open position the first and second leashes act as a torsion spring for causing the tongue to exert a force against the neck of the container for retaining the cap body in the fully open position.
