Emitter and drip irrigation tube
11864502 · 2024-01-09 · ·

The present invention relates to an emitter that can properly exhibit a flow rate adjustment function even when produced by molding a resin material having low hardness. The emitter has an emitter body and a base part stored in the emitter body. The emitter body comprises a water intake part, a reduced-pressure flow path groove, a storage part, and a diaphragm part. The base part has a base, a communication hole, and a deformation prevention part that is disposed protruding from the reverse surface to the surface of the base which the diaphragm part deformed by the pressure of a drip irrigation liquid contacts, and when the diaphragm part contacts the base by the pressure of the drip irrigation liquid, contacts the tube to prevent the base from being deformed by the pressure of the drip irrigation liquid.

There is provided an online drip emitter that includes a check valve. The emitter uses a first diaphragm in the check valve and a second diaphragm spaced from the first diaphragm to provide pressure compensation. The second diaphragm communicates with a tortuous path and an outlet to regulate water emitting from the emitter depending on the supply pressure.

This emitter (120) has a first valve seat part (174) provided around a hole (173) which forms a portion of a flow path between a reduced-pressure flow path and a discharge part. The first valve seat part (174) is formed by a three-step recessed circumferential surface, and is provided with one groove (175) which intersects said three-step recessed circumferential surface, and becomes shallower as said groove approaches the hole (173). As the external liquid pressure increases, a film (140) gradually bends towards the first valve seat part (174), and the open area of the groove (175) gradually decreases. The flow rate of an irrigation liquid is adjusted to an amount capable of passing through the opening of the groove (175).

The present invention aims to provide an emitter and a drip irrigation tube that can suppress the variations in the discharge amount of the liquid in the drip irrigation tube. The emitter (120) of the present invention is an emitter for regulating discharge of irrigation liquid. The emitter (120) includes an intake portion for taking in the liquid in the tube (110); a regulating unit that regulates a discharge amount of the liquid; a discharge portion for discharging the liquid via a discharge port (112) of the tube (110); and a flow path communicating the intake portion and the regulating unit. The regulating unit includes a recess and a film, the film is fixed in a state of covering an inner space of the recess, a region of the film covering the inner space of the recess is a diaphragm portion, the recess has a through hole communicating with the discharge portion and a plurality of slits communicating with the through hole, and an edge portion forming an upper surface-side opening of the through hole, excluding the plurality of slits, is a valve seat portion. When the diaphragm portion of the film comes into contact with the valve seat portion, the film and the slits form communication ports to the through hole, and each slit serves as a flow path to the through hole. The emitter (120) satisfies condition (1):

Condition (1): Assuming a cross-sectional area of the communication port formed by the film and the slit required when the emitter has one slit to be 1, a cross-sectional area of a communication port to the through hole formed by the film and each slit is less than 1.

Upright irrigation bag

An upright open face flexible irrigation bag having a first edge with a first set of zipper teeth and a second edge with a second set of zipper teeth and a slider for in situ securing the first set of zipper teeth to the second set of zipper teeth around a sapling and an emitter wherein the emitter includes flow control through either a restrictive nozzle or an emitter valve or both with both the emitter valve and the restrictive nozzle located external to the irrigation bag and proximate a ground edge of the upright irrigation bag with the irrigation bag including an emitter valve for compensating in a water pressure head in the irrigation bag.

METHOD OF MANUFACTURING AN IRRIGATION IMPLEMENT

A method of manufacturing an irrigation implement may include receiving tubing. The tubing may be conventional plastic irrigation tubing. The tubing may be cut to form a first end of an irrigation implement. The tubing may be cut to form a second end of the irrigation implement. Either the first end or the second end of the tubing may be pinched in forming the irrigation implement. The pinched end of the tubing may be sealed in forming the irrigation implement. In an embodiment, the pinched end may be heat sealed to form the irrigation implement.
