Methods and systems for providing interface components for respiratory therapy
Systems and methods permit generation of a digital scan of a user's face such as for obtaining of a patient respiratory mask, or component(s) thereof, based on the digital scan. The method may include: receiving video data comprising a plurality of video frames of the user's face taken from a plurality of angles relative to the user's face, generating a three-dimensional representation of a surface of the user's face based on the plurality of video frames, receiving scale estimation data associated with the received video data, the scale estimation data indicative of a relative size of the user's face, and scaling the digital three-dimensional representation of the user's face based on the scale estimation data. In some aspects, the scale estimation data may be derived from motion information collected by the same device that collects the scan of the user's face.
Medical monitoring hub
The present disclosure includes a medical monitoring hub as the center of monitoring for a monitored patient. The hub includes configurable medical ports and serial ports for communicating with other medical devices in the patient's proximity. Moreover, the hub communicates with a portable patient monitor. The monitor, when docked with the hub provides display graphics different from when undocked, the display graphics including anatomical information. The hub assembles the often vast amount of electronic medical data, associates it with the monitored patient, and in some embodiments, communicates the data to the patient's medical records.
Brushless DC motor with bearings
A brushless DC motor including a rotor, a magnet provided to the rotor, a pair of bearings to rotatably support the rotor, a stator assembly that at least partly surrounds the rotor and magnet thereof and adapted to control movement of the rotor, and a bearing tube having an exterior surface and an interior surface that defines a tube interior. The stator assembly is provided along the exterior surface of the tube and the bearings are provided along the interior surface of the tube to support the rotor and magnet within the tube interior. The motor has sample application for use in PAP devices for delivery of positive airway pressure therapy for users or patients.
MOBILE MONITORING AND PATIENT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
A patient management system for generating customized patient reports for users is provided. The system includes communications circuitry configured to receive first physiological data from a plurality of monitoring medical devices and receive second physiological data from a plurality of therapeutic medical devices. The system also includes at least one processor configured to perform instructions configured to cause the at least one processor to receive a selection from an end user regarding a customized report on at least one of the first physiological data from the plurality of monitoring medical devices or the second physiological data from the plurality of therapeutic medical devices, determine at least one information field for the customized report based on an access level of the end user, and compile the customized report including the at least one information field and using the at least one of the first physiological data or the second physiological data.
DEVICES, SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR THE TREATMENT OF SLEEP APNEA
A medical appliance for the treatment of one or more sleep disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea in a patient, the appliance comprising: a biasing member for inserting behind and exerting a force upon the patient's soft palate or tongue, wherein the biasing member is inserted in a reduced or minimized form and then expanded or firms once in place to exert the force. The appliance may be nasally inserted or be placed through the mouth. In a particular configuration, both the soft palate and tongue are biased to prevent obstruction of the flow of air in the nasopharyngeal airway.
Patient respiratory mask with integrated microphone and method of patient communication utilizing the same
The present disclosure presents a patient respiratory mask that is configured to pick up patient speech from within the patient respiratory mask utilizing a microphone and to transmit that speech to a speaker or other communications device and a method of patient communication utilizing the same.
DROPLET DELIVERY DEVICE FOR DELIVERY OF FLUIDS TO THE PULMONARY SYSTEM AND METHODS OF USE
A device and method for delivering a fluid as an ejected stream of droplets during inhalation uses inertial filtering to cause a first plurality of droplet particles generated by an ejector mechanism to pass through an airflow exit while a second plurality of droplet particles having a greater mass mean aerodynamic diameter than the first plurality of droplet particles fails to pass through the airflow exit.
Humidifier reservoir
An apparatus for humidifying a flow of pressurised, breathable air includes varying a first pressure of the flow of breathable gas to vary a level of thermal engagement between the conductive portion of the reservoir and the heater plate, varying a height of the variable portion varies a level of thermal engagement between the conductive portion of the reservoir and the heater plate, use of a humidifier reservoir base component with a maximum water capacity substantially equal to the predetermined maximum volume of water of the humidifier reservoir or the use of intersecting inlet and outlet axes.
Medical treatment apparatus and water reservoir for same
An apparatus for humidifying a flow of pressurised, breathable air includes varying a first pressure of the flow of breathable gas to vary a level of thermal engagement between the conductive portion of the reservoir and the heater plate, varying a height of the variable portion varies a level of thermal engagement between the conductive portion of the reservoir and the heater plate, use of a humidifier reservoir base component with a maximum water capacity substantially equal to the predetermined maximum volume of water of the humidifier reservoir or the use of intersecting inlet and outlet axes.
Ventilator with adjustable user interface
A ventilator (100), includes a basic unit (1) with a cover plate (10). Patient ports (4) are arranged at the basic unit (1) and a user interface (2) is arranged at the cover plate (10). The cover plate (10) can be arranged at the basic unit (1) at different angles in relation to a vertical axis.
