Ruffle maker
An apparatus for forming a ruffled moldable material includes: a body including an interior space and an extrusion opening that passes through from the interior space to an exterior of the body; and a ruffle formation structure that at least partially covers the extrusion opening, the ruffle formation structure including: a first side; a second side opposite the first side; a first edge attached to the body; and a second edge. In operational use, extruded moldable material is emitted from the extrusion opening along an extrusion direction, and the extruded moldable material interacts with the ruffle formation structure to form the ruffled moldable material by compressing at least some of the extruded moldable material along the extrusion direction.
CO-EXTRUDED, MULTI-LAYERED BATTERY SEPARATOR
A battery separator comprises a co-extruded, microporous membrane having at least two layers made of extrudable polymers and having: a uniform thickness defined by a standard deviation of <0.80 microns (m); or an interply adhesion as defined by a peel strength >60 grams.
MEDICAL TUBES AND METHODS OF MANUFACTURE
This invention relates to a medical tube comprises an elongate conduit having a first opening, a second opening, a longitudinal axis, a lumen extending between the first opening and the second opening along the longitudinal axis, and a corrugated wall, formed from an extruded material, extending between the first opening and the second opening and surrounding the lumen. The wall is stiffer in a first length of the conduit adjacent the first opening than in a second length of the conduit adjacent the second opening. The variable stiffness of the tube wall can improve the thermal profile of the tube as well as improve drain-back of condensation into a humidifier providing humidified gas to the tube.

Method and device for the production of an elongated product, and elongated product
A method for producing an elongated product. By an extrusion unit, a material is extruded onto a core of the elongated product as a casing having a predetermined wall strength. Downstream of the extrusion unit and while the material is still moldable, the elongated product is supplied in a conveying direction to a molding unit. A portion of the material is held by the molding unit and, from the held material, a molded part is formed in an integral manner on the casing. The formation of the molded part is thereby carried out in an advantageous manner, via a deformation of material of the casing.

Interlayer for laminated glass and laminated glass
There is provided an interlayer film for a laminated glass having improved appearance which has a MD and TD direction; and one end, and another end being opposite side of and thicker than the one end. The one end and other end are positioned on both sides of the interlayer film in the TD direction. When the distance between the one end and other end is X, the absolute value for the difference between the largest and smallest thermal shrinkage ratios from among three thermal shrinkage ratios is 15% or less. The three thermal shrinkage ratios are positioned from the one end towards the other end in MD direction with a first thermal shrinkage ratio at 150 C. at a first position at 0.05X, a second thermal shrinkage ratio at 150 C. at a second position at 0.5X, and a third thermal shrinkage ratio at 150 C. at a third position at 0.95X.

Corrugator, extrusion system and method
A corrugator for an extrusion system for shaping a tubular plastic product, having a multiplicity of mould blocks, a guide track, along which the mould blocks are guided in each case in pairs during the operation of the corrugator from a starting region of the guide track towards an outlet region of the guide track, a first return track, along which the mould blocks are guided during the operation of the corrugator from the outlet region towards the starting region, and a second return track, with the aid of which individual mould blocks can be removed from the first return track and/or can be inserted into the latter during the operation of the corrugator.
