Pipe with an outer wrap
This disclosure relates generally to corrugated pipe, and more particularly to corrugated pipe with an outer wrap. In one embodiment, a pipe includes an axially extended bore defined by a corrugated outer wall having axially adjacent, outwardly-extending corrugation crests, separated by corrugation valleys. The pipe also includes an outer wrap applied to the outer wall. The outer wrap may include fibers and plastic. The outer wrap may span the corrugation crests producing a smooth outer surface.
Heated respiratory hose wiring
Helically winding an extruded web to form a wall of a heated hose about a central axis, extruding a bead of plastics material around a heating wire such that the extruded bead comprises the heating wire at a first location within a cross-section of the extruded bead, helically winding the extruded bead onto the wall of the hose to provide a support helix, and exerting tension on the heating wire to draw down the heating wire toward the central axis such that the heating wire migrates radially inward from the first location to a second location within the cross-section of the extruded bead.
Head and system for continuously manufacturing composite hollow structure
A head is disclosed for use with a continuous manufacturing system. The head may have a housing configured to receive a matrix and a continuous fiber, and a diverter located at an end of the housing. The diverter may be configured to divert radially outward a matrix-coated fiber. The head may also include a cutoff having an edge configured to press the matrix-coated fiber against the diverter.
PIN CAM DEFLECTOR NUT
The present disclosure generally relates to extrusion die systems. In particular, the present disclosure relates to a specialty pin cam nut designed for the ease of assembly and disassembly of extrusion dies.
Shapeable bundles of slidably-interlocked extrusions for architectural or other construction components
Flexible extrusions of selected die patterns may be slid or snapped together to create bundles of slidably-interlocked extrusions that may be used to create structural components for architectural and a plurality of other construction purposes. Components such as standard rectangular construction beams, arches, domes, architectural trees, cylinders, molds, puzzling mazes, furniture, rollercoaster track, and other applications are illustrated and described in embodiments herein. Bundles of slidably-interlocked extrusions may be formed into a straight beam, bent into an arch, or twisted into other forms as desired. Bundles of slidably-interlocked extrusions may for example, comprise subsets of different length bundles of extrusions that may extend the length create long-span support beams or that may branch away at an angle from the starting beam to form a treelike structure.
Heated respiratory hose assembly
An undermold coupling to couple a hose to a hose fitting includes: a tubular portion to be inserted into a hose interface of the hose fitting; threads formed on an inner surface of the tubular portion to engage a support helix on an end of the hose as a set of threads; and a first grating comprising a first plurality of elongate portions to intermesh with a corresponding second plurality of elongate portions of a second grating of the hose interface, wherein the first plurality of elongate portions extend into a second plurality of slots defined by the second plurality of elongate portions, and the second plurality of elongate portions extend into a first plurality of slots defined by the first plurality of elongate portions.
MEMBERS FOR SEALING, BAFFLING, OR REINFORCING
An article comprising: a carrier (12), activatable material (14) disposed on the carrier, one or more carrier extensions (16) extending from the carrier; wherein the article is adapted to provide sealing, baffling, or reinforcement within a structure's cavity.
CONCRETE DOWEL PLACEMENT SYSTEM AND METHOD OF MAKING THE SAME
A concrete dowel placement system and methods for making the same. The system allows for accurate and easy substantially-parallel or parallel placement of slip dowels within sections of concrete so that adjacent sections of concrete may be allowed to undergo thermal expansion and contraction while remaining in a common plane without cracking or faulting. The system includes a coupler and a sheath. The sheath is configured to be slidably extensible over the coupler and may be held to the coupler by friction. An outer surface of the sheath may be textured. Additionally, a method of constructing the concrete dowel placement system includes extruding material to form two tubes of different sizes. The tubes are then attached to each other, then material is extruded or injection molded to form a sheath. Alternatively, construction may include extruding material to form a tube, then removing some of the material from the tube in order to form a coupler.
Pin cam deflector nut
The present disclosure generally relates to extrusion die systems. In particular, the present disclosure relates to a specialty pin cam nut designed for the ease of assembly and disassembly of extrusion dies.
Nozzle, nozzle assembly and method for extrusion of composite material
A nozzle for extruding a composite material from an extruder barrel. The nozzle includes a body and a tapered nozzle passage extending through the body. The tapered nozzle passage having a nozzle inlet opening configured to interface with the extruder barrel, and a nozzle outlet opening, where the tapered nozzle passage has a contoured nozzle passage surface extending between the extruder barrel and the nozzle outlet opening with smooth transitions, free of angles, so that each nozzle passage surface portion, having a corresponding contour, transitions smoothly to each other nozzle passage surface portion, having a respective different contour, from the nozzle inlet opening to the nozzle outlet opening, and the nozzle outlet opening is defined by at least a first edge and a second edge that intersect each other at an acute angle.
