Members for sealing, baffling, or reinforcing
An article comprising: a carrier (12), activatable material (14) disposed on the carrier, one or more carrier extensions (16) extending from the carrier; wherein the article is adapted to provide sealing, baffling, or reinforcement within a structure's cavity.
IMPLANTABLE MEDICAL DEVICES AT LEAST PARTIALLY FORMED FROM A THERMOSET MATERIAL
Examples are directed to a system, device and/or method comprising forming at least one lead portion of a medical lead body in a non-linear configuration from a thermoset material. Some examples are directed to a system, device and/or method comprising forming a body supporting at least one contact electrode, the body at least partially defining a re-closable lumen and comprising engaging portions, at least one of the engaging portions being formed from a silicone material.
HEATED RESPIRATORY HOSE SUPPORT HELIX INCORPORATING LUMENS
A method includes: extruding a continuous web of plastics material from an extruder of a hose making apparatus; helically winding the extruded web about a mandrel or at least one rotating rod of the hose making apparatus to form a wall of the hose about a central axis of the hose; extruding a continuous bead of plastics material to have a cross-section that defines a lumen at a location within the cross-section; cooling the extruded bead sufficiently to cool the plastics material adjacent the location within the cross-section of the extruded bead to cause the lumen to retain its size and shape within the cross-section; re-heating the extruded bead sufficiently to cause outer surface portions of the plastics material of the extruded bead to become molten; and helically winding the extruded bead onto and about an external surface of the wall to provide the wall a support helix.
Sheet and method for producing sheet
The present invention provides a thin sheet with suppressed strain. The sheet according to the present invention has a thickness from 0.1 to 5 mm and is formed of a plastic that contains at least one resin selected from polyamide resins, polycarbonate resins, cellulose acrylate resins, and acrylic resins. A difference between a maximum value and a minimum value of retardation of the sheet is 3000 nm or less. The sheet according to the present invention can be obtained, for example, by subjecting a plastic containing at least one resin selected from polyamide resins, polycarbonate resins, cellulose acylate resins, and acrylic resins to extrusion molding to obtain a plastic in the form of a sheet, and subjecting the resulting plastic in the form of a sheet to vacuum forming, air-pressure forming, or vacuum air-pressure forming.
HEAD AND SYSTEM FOR CONTINUOUSLY MANUFACTURING COMPOSITE TUBE
A method is disclosed for additively manufacturing a composite structure. The method may include coating a continuous strand with a matrix, discharging a composite tubular structure made from the coated continuous strand, and exposing the matrix in the composite tubular structure to light to cure the matrix during discharging. The method may also include depositing a material layer onto an internal surface of the composite tubular structure as the composite tubular structure is being discharged, and wiping a squeegee over the material layer.
PIPE WITH AN OUTER WRAP
This disclosure relates generally to corrugated pipe, and more particularly to corrugated pipe with an outer wrap. In one embodiment, a pipe includes an axially extended bore defined by a corrugated outer wall having axially adjacent, outwardly-extending corrugation crests, separated by corrugation valleys. The pipe also includes an outer wrap applied to the outer wall. The outer wrap may include fibers and plastic. The outer wrap may span the corrugation crests producing a smooth outer surface.
Head and system for continuously manufacturing composite hollow structure
A system is disclosed for use in manufacturing a composite structure. The system may include a support configured to move in a plurality of directions during manufacturing of the composite structure, and a head coupled to the support. The head may have a housing that is configured to receive a liquid matrix and at least one continuous fiber and configured to discharge a tubular structure. The head may also have a nozzle operatively connected to the housing and configured to deposit a material layer onto a surface of the tubular structure as the tubular structure is discharging from the housing, and a squeegee associated with the nozzle and configured to wipe over the material layer. The head may further have a first cure enhancer operatively connected to the housing and configured to cure the liquid matrix in the tubular structure during discharge, and a second cure enhancer configured to cure the material layer deposited by the nozzle.
CONSTRUCTION APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR AGRICULTURAL GROWING STRUCTURE
A plurality of trough extruders are supported upon a lift truck traveling in a circular travel path. The plurality of trough extruders continuously form one piece troughs as the lift truck travels its circular path. A lift mechanism progressively raises the extruders as the lift truck travels its circular path two form continuous one-piece helical water troughs for use in an agricultural growing structure.
CLEANING ROLLER, CHARGING DEVICE, IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS INCLUDING CLEANING ROLLER OR CHARGING DEVICE, AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING CLEANING ROLLER
In a cleaning roller, a plurality of uneven portions are formed on a surface. A rotation shaft of the cleaning roller is inserted into a cylindrical hole of a cylindrical cleaning member in which the plurality of uneven portions are formed, and the clean member and a rotation shaft are fixed in a state where the cleaning member is twisted in a circumferential direction. The cleaning member, in which the plurality of uneven portions extending so as to twist in the circumferential direction are formed, is molded by rotating an extrusion molding die while extruding an extrusion molding material toward an extrusion molding hole of the extrusion molding die. An injection molding material with which the injection molding die is filled is solidified to mold the cleaning member and the cleaning member is stripped from the injection molding die by rotating the extrusion molding die around an axis.
