BACKING FOR ADHESIVE TAPE WITH THERMAL RESISTANCE
Backing films for adhesive tapes are presented, as well as adhesive tapes comprising such backing films, which may include tapes used in construction such as seam sealing tapes, roofing tapes, and flashing tapes. The backing film comprises a core layer, a first skin layer, and optionally a second skin layer, where the backing film has a coefficient of thermal expansion of less than 90 ppm/° C. measured in at least one direction within the plane of the film, and, in some embodiments, a Young's modulus of less than 550 MPa as measured in at least one direction. In some embodiments, the backing film has a coefficient of thermal expansion of not more than 91.8 ppm/° C. and a Young's modulus of not more than 540 MPa as measured in any direction within the plane of the film. In some embodiments, the core layer comprises a polyolefin, and skin layers comprise a thermoplastic elastomer.
Comestible products, apparatus for comestible production
The apparatus (100) includes a die head (118) for extruding a main comestible material to form an extrudate body. A plurality of nozzles (160, FIG. 7) is located within the die head for introducing a comestible fluid into the extrudate body to form a plurality of filled capillaries. A control system (182) is capable of selectively connecting at least one of the nozzles to any one of at least two different fluid filling sources (150A, 15 OB). The control system may be capable of connecting each of the nozzles independently to different fluid sources or the nozzles may be arranged into two or more groups of flu idly interconnected nozzles that can each be independently switched between different fluid sources. The apparatus can be used to form products in which the fillings in the capillaries are varied or in which an image is formed in cross section. The apparatus can also be used to switch production between products having different fillings without stopping extrusion.
Blow molding method, blow mold, and blow-molded container
A blow molding method includes a primary blow molding step that molds a preform (200) in a primary blow mold (300A) that includes a primary temperature control section (330) to obtain an intermediate molded article (202), a shrinkage step that discharges blow air from the intermediate molded article to shrink the intermediate molded article, and a secondary blow molding step that blow-molds the intermediate molded article (204) that has shrunken in a secondary blow mold that includes a secondary temperature control section (430) to obtain a final molded article. The primary blow molding step cools a first intermediate molding region of the intermediate molded article that follows a neck using a first primary temperature control section, and the shrinkage step shrinks a second intermediate molding region of the intermediate molded article of which the temperature is controlled by a second primary temperature control section.
Odour control material, method for preparation of an odour control material and an absorbent product comprising the odour control material
The present invention relates to an odor control material consisting of a water-insoluble particulate odor control agent and a thermoplastic water-soluble carrier matrix encapsulating the odor control agent. The carrier matrix dissolves when in contact with an aqueous solution, such as urine and the odor control material is obtained by means of thermoforming. The invention relates also to a method for the preparation of the odor control material and the use of the odor control material in absorbent products. The present odor control material minimizes dusting problems caused by particulate odor control agents in production processes.
RINGED TUBULAR SHEATH HAVING A DETACHABLE LONGITUDINAL STRIP
The invention relates to a ringed tubular sheath which comprises a longitudinal strip which can be easily detached by a user, in particular manually. More specifically, the invention relates to a ringed tubular sheath comprising a sheath body (1) and a longitudinal strip (6) which are made of materials that substantially do not adhere to one another, the longitudinal strip (6) comprising, on each of its longitudinal sides, an upper projection (2, 8) and a lower projection (3, 9), between which a respective longitudinal edge (5, 7) of the sheath body (1) is fitted, this sheath being distinctive in that the longitudinal strip (6) is substantially in the shape of an arc of a ringed tube. The invention also relates to a manufacturing method and to the use of such a sheath.
Extruded expandable barrier
Disclosed are various embodiments of an extruded expandable barrier, and various processes and systems for manufacturing the same. Using various extrusion processes to form an extruded expandable barrier allows for a reduction in tooling costs while also allowing more flexible barrier designs. Such designs can be specifically tailored for a particular cavity or cavities to ensure that the barrier fills the cavity after expansion. In addition, design changes can occur with little to no tooling changes.
