The apparatus includes a temperature control system with heater sand cooler. The apparatus includes a speed control apparatus that has a drive unit and a speed variation device that is coupled to the extruder screw. The apparatus includes a diagnostic system in communication with the material processing section and/or the speed control apparatus. The diagnostic system includes a sensor system in communication with the material processing section and/or the speed control apparatus; and a computer processor in communication with the sensor system and a computer. The computer processor includes a computer readable medium that employs one or more algorithms and that are executable by the computer to generate signals characterizing performance of the material processing section and/or the speed control apparatus
Method for producing thermally crosslinkable polymers in a planetary roller extruder
A method for producing thermally crosslinkable polymers in a planetary roller extruder is presented. The planetary roller extruder has a filling part and a compounding part made of a roller cylinder region that comprises at least two, preferably at least three coupled roller cylinders, planetary spindles of which are driven by a common central spindle. The polymers are supplied in a plasticized state. The filling part is supplied with a vacuum. The flow temperatures of the central spindle and the at least two roller cylinders under a vacuum are set such that the polymers to be degassed remain in the plasticized state. One or more liquids, such as thermal crosslinkers, crosslinking accelerators, dye solutions, or dye dispersions, are metered to the plasticized polymers downstream of the vacuum degassing, preferably in a continuous manner. Finally, the resulting mixture is directly supplied to a coating assembly.
Screw Pump Module For The Extrusion Of Plastic Materials
This concerns a screw pump for the extrusion of plastic materials, which is extremely compact and so it can be inserted in-line in a plastic material filtration system, encapsulating within it a duct parallel to the axis of the screw.
EXTRUDER SCREW FOR A MULTI-SCREW EXTRUDER
An extruder screw for a multi-screw extruder, having an intake and metering section. A rotor body has an enlarged diameter relative to the intake and metering section and has a plurality of satellite screws positioned on the outer periphery of the rotor body at least over part of the length thereof. A cone and an adjoining drive zone are formed between the intake and metering section and the rotor body, in which drive zone the satellite screws each engage via a drive pinion in an external toothing on the rotor body or in an internal toothing on a stator ring or in the inner wall of an extruder housing. At least one peripherally closed flow channel is formed, which flow channel extends from an inlet opening on the cone to an outlet opening located downstream of the drive pinions in the direction of flow.

SCREW MACHINE
An extruder has a pair of linkage parts configured to respectively link end portions of a pair of output shafts of the speed reducer with end portions of a pair of screws coaxially. The linkage parts each has: a coupling having an insertion hole into which the end portion of the screw and the end portion of the output shaft are inserted; and a locking part attached to the end portion of the output shaft. The coupling has a first receiving portion configured to receive the end portion of the output shaft; the second receiving portion configured to receive the locking part; and a step portion formed between the first receiving portion and the second receiving portion. As the step portion is locked by the locking part, a relative movement of the coupling relative to the output shaft in a direction towards the screw is restricted.
Device and procedure for extrusion and application of spacer profile of an insulating glass
The present relates to a device and a procedure for the extrusion and application of a spacer profile of insulating glass, particularly for a machine adapted to compose the spacer frame directly against one or more glass panes constituting the insulating glass starting from a thermoplastic product prevalently contained in drums, displacing the extrados thereof to an adjustable and controlled distance referred to the margin of one or more glass panes.
Extruder screw with conveying portions and barrier portions and extrusion methods using the extruder screw and a plurality of barrel blocks
An extruder includes a screw for extruder provided with a screw element for kneading a raw material, and a barrel including a cylinder portion in which the screw is inserted so as to be rotatable. A plurality of screw elements identical with the screw element are provided in a longitudinal direction of the screw under a certain rule. The barrel is integrated by combining a plurality of barrel blocks blocked. Each of the plurality of barrel blocks is configured in accordance with a length of the screw element provided in the longitudinal direction of the screw.
Ram extruding thin panels of UHMW polymers
A ram extrusion apparatus including a die having several thermal zones, a hopper for introducing a granular polymer resin to the die, and a ram for moving the granular polymer resin through the thermal zones of the die and out from an outlet end thereof at a temperature above the crystalline melt temperature of the polymer resin. The hopper may be designed to deliver the polymer resin into a resin inlet of the die in a plurality of specifically metered amounts which may vary across a width of the resin inlet end of the die. The apparatus may further include one or more finishing tables positioned after the outlet end of the die for receiving and moving the extruded resin away from the outlet end of the die so that there is no backpressure on the extruded resin, and which provide compression force and even cooling to the extruded resin.
SYSTEMS, METHODS, AND DEVICES FOR ACTUATION OF BUILD MATERIAL
An actuation method comprising applying a force to a first rod of build material disposed within an actuation volume. The first rod of build material may include at least one metal. The method may further comprise moving the first rod of build material in a direction substantially parallel to or substantially coaxial with a longitudinal axis of the first rod of build material toward an extrusion head and loading a second rod of build material into the actuation volume. The second rod of build material may include at least one metal. A longitudinal axis of the second rod may be substantially coaxial with the longitudinal axis of the first rod. The applying step and the moving step may be repeated for the second rod of build material.
