Impression element for the creation of a surgical guide
According to an aspect of the invention there is provided a mouldable material carrier for use in producing an impression of a surgical site comprising: a base having a channel passing through the base between an inlet and an outlet; and a securing portion configured to secure a flexible sheet to the base around the outlet to cover the outlet such that, when mouldable material is urged through the inlet, the mouldable material is extruded out of the outlet and contained within a volume defined by the flexible sheet and the base, such that when the mouldable material carrier is urged against a surgical site, the mouldable material within the volume forms an impression of the surgical site without making contact with the surgical site.
System for Producing a Blown Film
The invention relates to a blown film line for generating a blown film with at least one extruder for generating at least one melt strand, at least one distribution tool for converting the at least one melt strand into a circulating melt layer, an outlet nozzle for outputting the at least one melt layer, wherein this melt layer forms the blown film, and at least one device for subjecting the blown film to at least one fluid stream, in particular an air stream, for cooling the blown film. At least one pressure-providing device is furnished, with which the blown film may be brought to the device for subjecting the blown film to a fluid stream by means of at least one overpressure and/or one underpressure.
Rubber strip manufacturing apparatus
To provide an apparatus for manufacturing a rubber strip in which damages such as cracks occurring in ceramic outer layers of calender rolls can be suppressed, and which is capable of rolling the rubber strip continuously for a long period of time. [Solution] It is an apparatus 1 for manufacturing a rubber strip having a rubber extruder 2 having a discharge port 2a for continuously discharging the rubber, and a pair of upper and lower calender rolls 3, 3 for rolling the rubber discharged from the discharge port 2a to form a rubber strip G. Each of the calender rolls 3 includes a roll main body 7 which is driven to rotate, and a cylindrical outer layer 8 which is concentrically disposed on the outside of the roll main body 7 to roll the rubber by its outer peripheral surface 8S. The outer layer 8 is made of a ceramic. Between the outer layer 8 and the roll main body 7, a gap P is provided. In the gap P, an O-ring 10 for rotating the outer layer 8 integrally with the roll main body 7 is inserted.
EXTRUSION DIE HAVING ADJUSTABLE END SEAL SYSTEM AND METHOD OF USE
An extrusion die is provided with an adjustable end seal assembly. The extrusion die includes a die body, and the adjustable end seal assembly includes an end seal device and a wedge mechanism. The adjustable end seal assembly has an engaged configuration and a disengaged configuration. When in the engaged configuration, the adjustable end seal assembly is held forcibly against the die body. When in the disengaged configuration, the adjustable end seal assembly is either spaced apart from the die body or held against the die body with less force than when in the engaged configuration. Methods of operating such an extrusion die are also provided.
SEAL RING FOR VENT SADDLE IN EXTRUSION BARREL
A sealing device for sealing a venting port of an extrusion apparatus. The sealing device includes a saddle having a saddle counter bore and a seal ring positioned in the saddle counter bore of the saddle. The sealing device also includes a barrel counter bore provided in a barrel of the extrusion apparatus. The saddle counter bore and the barrel counter bore are dimensioned to receive the seal ring, wherein when the seal ring is positioned in the saddle counter bore and the barrel counter bore, a seal is formed between the seal ring in all range of processing temperatures, the saddle and the barrel to prevent the unwanted leakage of high pressure melt.
MEMBERS FOR SEALING, BAFFLING, OR REINFORCING
An article comprising: a carrier (12), activatable material (14) disposed on the carrier, one or more carrier extensions (16) extending from the carrier; wherein the article is adapted to provide sealing, baffling, or reinforcement within a structure's cavity.
SEAL SYSTEM FOR MELTED PLASTICS
A seal system includes a male body and a female body that are slidable in relation to one another in an axial direction and between which an interstice is arranged. Plastics in pasty state pass through the interstice to a chamber partially defined by at least one of the aforementioned bodies. An elastic strip is arranged in the interstice to prevent leakage of the plastics.
WATERPROOF ELECTRONIC DEVICE
An electronic device is provided which includes a housing an opening in a portion of the housing, an audio component within the housing and connected to the opening, and a membrane structure disposed to prevent a liquid from entering the audio component from outside of the housing, wherein the membrane structure includes a first adhesive layer, a second adhesive layer, and a membrane layer including a central area and a peripheral area around the central area, wherein the first adhesive layer and the second adhesive layer have a closed curve form, the peripheral area is disposed between the first adhesive layer and the second adhesive layer, the central area is coated with a plurality of particles, and at least a portion of the peripheral area contacts at least one of the first adhesive layer and the second adhesive layer.
PLANETARY ROLLER EXTRUDER FOR PROCESSING BIODEGRADABLE MATERIALS AND METHOD FOR CLEANING THE PLANETARY ROLLER EXTRUDER
A planetary roller extruder for homogenizing, dispersing, pasteurizing, and purposefully controlling the temperature of biodegradable materials that are prone to altering their properties during processing, in particular the properties that rule out further use after the materials have been processed, such as food, medicinal products or pharmaceutical products, different regions being present in the planetary roller extruder. The planetary roller extruder includes a flow conduit having various transitions from one region to a next region in an interior and components being statically and movably installed. A seal is installed between statically installed components, by which seal gaps or cavities present are configured to be closed. A slide ring seal provides sealing between moving components, which are led from the flow conduit in the interior outward to a surrounding area, so as to avoid steps and/or notches along flow surfaces in a transition region of the moving components.
