CATHETER
A catheter having a tubular body including a lumen communicating from a proximal end to a distal end and in which a braided reinforcement body is embedded, and an operation unit disposed on a proximal side of the tubular body. The reinforcement body includes a plurality of first wire filaments helically wound in a first direction of a circumferential direction, toward a distal end direction of the tubular body, and a plurality of second wire filaments intersecting with the first wire filaments and helically wound in a second direction, which is a direction opposite to the first direction. At least one of the first wire filaments is a thick wire filament having a cross section larger than a cross section of a largest second wire filament.
Catheter anchor drain
The disclosure relates to a system of circumferentially (preferably helically) arranging indicia on the elongate body of a medical device such as a catheter. The disclosure also relates to an anchor drain for securing a surgical drain to a fluid collection device. The anchor drain resists disconnection of the surgical drain from the fluid collection device and also resists occlusion of the conduit connecting the surgical drain and the fluid collection device, even when a suture is tied about a portion of the anchor drain inserted within the surgical drain, and resists unintentional withdrawal of the surgical drain from the body or a body cavity.
CONTINUOUS ANESTHESIA NERVE CONDUCTION APPARATUS, SYSTEM AND METHOD THEREOF
The invention generally relates to a continuous anesthesia nerve conduction apparatus and method thereof, and more particularly to a method and system for use in administering a continuous flow or intermittent bolus of anesthetic agent to facilitate a continuous or prolonged nerve block. In one embodiment, the apparatus includes a sheath having a proximal end, a distal end and at least one lumen extending from the proximal end to the distal end. The sheath also includes an embedded conductive element for transmitting an electrical signal from a proximal portion of the sheath to a distal portion of the sheath. A cannula is arranged in the at least one lumen of the sheath and has a distal end protruding from a distal portion of the sheath. The cannula is electrically coupled to at least a portion of the embedded conductive element and is configured to provide nerve stimulation.
Internal body cavity therapeutic applicator arrangements and methods for using the same
An apparatus for providing at least one treatment to at least one tissue having a first structural arrangement configured to expand a first portion at a distal end of the apparatus, a second structural arrangement configured to expand a second portion at the distal end and at least one lumen associated with at least one of the first structural arrangement and/or the second structural arrangement. The first structural arrangement and/or the second structural arrangement can be configured to position the at least one lumen at a particular position with respect to the tissue. A tip is configured to aid in the insertion of the apparatus into the tissue(s).
Ureteral and Bladder Catheters and Methods of Inducing Negative Pressure to Increase Renal Perfusion
A ureteral catheter includes a drainage lumen including a proximal portion configured to be positioned in at least a portion of a patient's urethra and/or bladder and a distal portion configured to be positioned in a patient's kidney, renal pelvis, and/or in the ureter adjacent to the renal pelvis, the distal portion including a retention portion for maintaining positioning of the distal portion of the drainage lumen, the retention portion including two or more openings on a sidewall of the retention portion for permitting fluid flow into the drainage lumen, wherein a number of the openings nearer to a distal end of the retention portion is greater than a number of the opening(s) nearer to a proximal end of the retention portion.
ASPIRATION CATHETER SYSTEMS AND METHODS OF USE
Described are methods, systems, devices for facilitation of intraluminal medical procedures within the neurovasculature. A catheter advancement device includes a flexible elongate body having a proximal portion coupled to a proximal end region of the flexible elongate body and extending proximally to a proximal-most end of the catheter advancement element. A hardness of the flexible elongate body transitions proximally towards increasingly harder materials up to the proximal portion forming a first plurality of material transitions. At least a portion of the flexible elongate body is formed of a plurality of layers including a reinforcement layer. An outer diameter of the flexible elongate body is sized to be positioned coaxially within a lumen of a catheter such that a distal tip portion of the flexible elongate body extends distally beyond a distal end of the catheter to aid in delivery of the catheter to an intracranial vessel.
Balloon positioning in a sinuplasty procedure
A method includes inserting into a patient organ a catheter including a position sensor, a device and a handle. The position sensor is attached to a distal end of the catheter. The device is movable along the catheter. The handle includes a control for navigating the device along the catheter to a target location in the patient organ. Based on a location of the position sensor, a target position of the control on the handle that corresponds to the target location of the device is estimated. A marker is set to mark the target position of the control on the handle, and the device is navigated to the target location by setting the control to the marker.
VARIABLE LENGTH STENT
A stent comprising a tubular member, a lumen extending through the tubular member, a first retention structure and a second retention structure at opposite ends of the tubular member. The first retention structure comprises multiple coils and a removable anti-coiling material over the multiple coils of the first retention structure to present the multiple coils as an elongated extension of the tubular member, whereupon removal of the removable anti-coiling material at least one of the multiple coils of the first retention structure is presented and any excess coils can be trimmed.
PUNCTURE DEVICE FOR ACCESSING THE VASCULAR SYSTEM
The present invention is related to the field of devices for introducing and extracting media from the body, more specifically to the devices for introducing media into the body by means of intravascular access, and in particular, provides a puncture device for accessing the vascular system comprised of: a needle having a tubular body, with said tubular body having a distal end and a proximal end, a cutting edge in the distal end of said tubular body, and an expansion of the external diameter having a bulb shape next, in distal-proximal direction, to said cutting edge.
In this way, a puncture device is provided for accessing the vascular system that solves the problem of allowing the echograph monitoring of the needle, but whose fabrication implies a reduction in the technical difficulty for its obtention, while it avoids the accidental perforation of the distal wall of the vessel of interest.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR LOW PROFILE OCCLUSION BALLOON CATHETER
An occlusion catheter system for full or partial occlusion of a vessel having a vessel diameter includes a proximal catheter shaft having a proximal lumen and a hypotube positioned partially within the proximal lumen and spaced from the proximal catheter shaft. The catheter system also includes a distal catheter shaft attached to a distal end of the hypotube and an occlusion balloon connected at a proximal end to the proximal catheter shaft and at a distal end to the distal catheter shaft. The occlusion balloon is configured to define flow channels with inner surfaces of the vessel at folds in the occlusion balloon when the occlusion balloon is partially inflated and in engagement with the inner surfaces.
