METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PROVIDING INCREASED VISUALIZATION AND MANIPULATION OF A BODY SIDE WALL
An endoscopic tissue snare system comprising: a sleeve adapted to be slid over the exterior of an endoscope; a pair of push tubes slidably mounted to the sleeve, each of the push tubes comprising a distal opening and a proximal opening; a distal balloon secured to the distal ends of the pair of push tubes; and a snare comprising a pair of free ends and an intermediate portion disposed between the pair of free ends, wherein the snare extends into the proximal opening of one push tube, up the length of the push tube, out the distal opening of that push tube, across the face of the distal balloon, into the distal opening of the other push tube, down the length of that push tube, and out the proximal opening of that push tube.
Method and apparatus for measuring the length of a vascular anatomic lesion
A dual lumen catheter with a measuring scale is disclosed. The catheter has a pair of lumens, one of which is adapted to receive a measuring scale for measuring the length of a lesion within the body. A view port is provided to allow the user to view the measuring scale and determine the length of the lesion.
Apparatus and method for improved assisted ventilation
Devices and methods for allowing for improved assisted ventilation of a patient. The methods and devices provide a number of benefits over conventional approaches for assisted ventilation. For example, the methods and devices described herein permit blind insertion of a device that can allow ventilation regardless of whether the device is positioned within a trachea or an esophagus.
Verivas rapid vein harvester
An apparatus for harvesting a subcutaneous blood vessel is disclosed. The apparatus comprises a guidewire with an angled tip, an intra-vascular catheter to receive the guidewire and having a lateral orifice to allow the angled tip thereof to perforate the subcutaneous blood vessel. The apparatus further comprises a flexible pulling device having a pair of circumferential grooves, one adjacent to each end thereof, to allow for securing the subcutaneous blood vessel thereat; and a flexible pushing device having a concave-cup shape at a distal end thereof to facilitate pushing of the subcutaneous blood vessel secured with one of the pair of circumferential grooves of the flexible pulling device. The flexible pulling device and the flexible pushing device are operable in conjunction to cause inversion and eversion and separation from the surrounding tissues of the subcutaneous blood vessel for removal and harvesting thereof.
ASPIRATION CATHETER SYSTEMS AND METHODS OF USE
Described are methods, systems, devices for facilitation of intraluminal medical procedures within the neurovasculature. A catheter advancement device includes a flexible elongate body having a proximal end, a distal end, and a single lumen extending therebetween. The flexible elongate body has a proximal segment, an intermediate segment, and a tip segment. The proximal segment includes a hypotube coated with a polymer. The intermediate segment includes an unreinforced polymer having a durometer of no more than 72D. The tip segment is formed of a polymer different from the intermediate segment and has a durometer of no more than about 35D and a length of at least 5 cm. The tip segment has a tapered portion that tapers distally from a first outer diameter to a second outer diameter over a length of between 1 and 3 cm.
MEDICAL APPARATUS WITH EMBEDDED MARKING
A medical apparatus configured for insertion directly or indirectly into a living body is provided with a coloring part having a marking formed on an outer surface. The marking has a coloring layer of an acrylic resin containing a pigment and a protective layer of a polymethacrylic ester covering the coloring layer directly or indirectly, and an upper surface of the coloring part is recessed from a part of the medical apparatus, such as a covering tube of a sheath of an endoscope treatment instrument, adjacent to the coloring part on the outer surface.
MICRO CATHETER CALIPER
An example catheter caliper according to the present disclosure includes a tube having a plurality of markers at predetermined intervals and a wire extending from the tube, wherein the catheter caliper is configured to be received into the vasculature of a patient. Other example catheter calipers and example methods of using the catheter caliper is also disclosed.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR TRACKING THE POSITION OF AN ENDOSCOPE WITHIN A PATIENT'S BODY
Systems and methods of tracking the position of an endoscope within a patient's body during an endoscopic procedure is disclosed. The devices and methods include determining a position of the endoscope within the patient in the endoscope's coordinate system, capturing in an image fiducial markers attached to the endoscope by an external optical tracker, transforming the captured fiducial markers from the endoscope's coordinate system to the optical tracker's coordinate system, projecting a virtual image of the endoscope on a model of the patient's organ, and projecting or displaying the combined image.
Catheter for recovery of dysphagia
The present invention provides a catheter for assisting recovery from dysphagia.
CATHETER, CATHETER ASSEMBLY, AND CATHETER SYSTEM
A catheter includes: a shaft to be inserted into a blood vessel, the shaft being flexible and having a tubular shape. The shaft comprises: a light emitting portion that is located at a distal end portion of the shaft and is configured to emit near-infrared light by being irradiated with light, and a non-light emitting portion that extends from the light emitting portion toward a proximal end side of the shaft and does not emit the near-infrared light. A length of the light emitting portion in an extending direction of the shaft is six times or less an outer diameter of the non-light emitting portion in an extending direction of the shaft.
