METHOD AND SYSTEMS FOR APPLYING STRETCH FILMS/PLASTIC FILMS AT A CONTROLLED TEMPERATURE
20210347104 · 2021-11-11 ·

A system for controlling the temperature of a film before and/or during application, the system including: a heat source for heating a film; and stretch rollers; wherein the heat source heats the film from an ambient temperature to a temperature from about 2° C. to about 40° C. above the ambient temperature, wherein the film is heated prior to or simultaneous to being stretched by the stretch rollers, and wherein the ambient temperature is below 15° C. The preheating system may be used to enhance binding and sealing properties of stretch films used for wrapping palletized products in a reduced temperature environment. Other embodiments of the preheating film system, and methods for its use, are described herein.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PROVIDING ORTHODONTIC ALIGNERS AND OTHER DENTAL APPLIANCES

A method for manufacturing an orthodontic aligner includes printing a mold associated with a dental arch of a patient based on a digital model of the mold, forming the orthodontic aligner over the mold, and trimming the orthodontic aligner. The method further includes assessing a quality of the orthodontic aligner by receiving a digital representation of the orthodontic aligner, the digital representation having been generated based on imaging of the orthodontic aligner, analyzing the digital representation of the orthodontic aligner to identify a quality-related property of the orthodontic aligner, determining, based on the quality-related property, that the orthodontic aligner comprises a manufacturing flaw, and classifying the orthodontic aligner as requiring further inspection by a technician based on determining that the orthodontic aligner comprises the manufacturing flaw.

A graphical user interface (“GUI”) is generated on the display, the GUI has a graphical depiction that simulates a translucence level of an oral appliance. The graphical depiction of the translucence level is adjustable based on a user input. A value based on the user selected translucence level is sent to an external device for determination of manufacturing parameters for the oral appliance.

INTERMEDIATE PROCESSING METHOD OF EXTRUDED RESIN SHEET

A process management system virtually segments an extruded resin sheet into individual areas associated with several resin sheets. The individual areas are further virtually segmented into segmented areas. Curvature related information related to a curvature after completion of a heat press processing is acquired for each segmented area for each individual area. In a coating condition per area setting process, coating conditions are set for each segmented area for each individual area in accordance with a curvature based on curvature related information of each segmented area for each individual area. In a coating implementing process, a coating is applied to each segmented area for each individual area based on the coating condition.
