Aligner image based quality control system
A system for inspecting a customized dental device associated with a dental application for manufacturing defects is disclosed. The system obtains images of the customized device and identifies an identifier of the customized device. The system determines a digital file associated with the customized device based on the identifier, the digital file including a first digital model of the customized device and/or a second digital model of a mold used during manufacture of the customized device. The system determines an intended property for the customized device based on at least one of the first digital model or the second digital model, determines an actual property of the customized device from the images, determines whether there is a manufacturing defect in the customized device by comparing the intended property for the customized device with the actual property of the customized device, and outputs an output associated with the determination.
Method and systems for applying stretch films/plastic films at a controlled temperature
A system for controlling the temperature of a film before and/or during application, the system including: a heat source for heating a film; and stretch rollers; wherein the heat source heats the film from an ambient temperature to a temperature from about 2° C. to about 40° C. above the ambient temperature, wherein the film is heated prior to or simultaneous to being stretched by the stretch rollers, and wherein the ambient temperature is below 15° C. The preheating system may be used to enhance binding and sealing properties of stretch films used for wrapping palletized products in a reduced temperature environment. Other embodiments of the preheating film system, and methods for its use, are described herein.

Warpage reduction device and warpage reduction method
A warpage reduction device the present disclosure includes a jig having a warped shape capable of distributing stress of a workpiece, a light source heating the workpiece so as to be flat, a pressurizer applying pressure to the heated workpiece to be pressed against the jig so as to be deformed, a cooler cooling the deformed workpiece, and a controller controlling operations of the light source, the pressurizer, and the cooler.
THERMOFORMED ABRASION-RESISTANT MULTILAYER OPTICAL FILM AND METHOD OF MAKING THE SAME
A method of making a shaped abrasion-resistant multilayer optical film includes providing a curable composition comprising, based on the total weight of components a) to d) components: a) 87 to 96 weight percent of urethane (meth)acrylate compound having an average (meth)acrylate functionality of 2 to 4.8; b) 2 to 12.5 weight percent of (meth)acrylate monomer having a (meth)acrylate functionality of 1 to 2, wherein the (meth)acrylate monomer does not comprise a urethane (meth)acrylate compound; optionally c) 0.5 to 2 weight percent of silicone (meth)acrylate; and d) optional effective amount of photoinitiator. The curable composition is coated onto an MOF. Optionally, the curable composition to is at least partially dried. Next, the curable composition or the at least partially dried curable composition is at least partially cured to provide an abrasion-resistant multilayer optical film. Lastly, the abrasion-resistant multilayer optical film is thermoformed using a female mold having a mold surface. At least a portion of the mold surface has a radius of curvature of 58 to 76 mm and a maximum depth of 13 to 20 mm.
THERMOFORMING MULTIPLE ALIGNERS IN PARALLEL
A system is configured to manufacture an aligner. The system includes a heating section configured to heat a sheet of plastic to generate a heated sheet of plastic. The system further includes a plate configured to secure a mold associated with a dental arch of a patient. The plate includes a keyway and a pin. The mold includes a first feature configured to interface with the keyway and a second feature configured to interface with the pin. The system further includes a thermoforming chamber configured to thermoform the heated sheet of plastic to the mold that is secured to the plate via a first interface of the keyway with the first feature and a second interface of the pin with the second feature to generate a thermoformed sheet of plastic. The system further includes a cutting tool configured to trim the aligner from the thermoformed sheet of plastic.

PRODUCTION METHOD FOR A DENTAL AID MADE OF A THERMOPLASTIC FILM OR PLATE
The invention relates to a method for producing a dental aid from a thermoplastic film or plate, wherein a digital three-dimensional working model is created in a computer-aided manner using a three-dimensional data set of at least one part of an upper jaw and/or lower jaw.
Thermoforming mold trimming system and process
A thermoforming mold trimming system, apparatus, and method of use are disclosed. The thermoforming mold trimming apparatus includes a robot support structure with at least one robot secured to the robot support structure. The apparatus also includes a contact probe removably secured to the robot, the contact probe being configured to generate a trim path for a thermoformed molded part. The robot is programmed to follow the trim path generated by the contact probe. The robot then uses a blade to trim excess material of a finished molded part within the housing by following the trim path.
Packaging machine having a process-controlled early start function
A packaging machine, comprising a control unit, a plurality of measuring devices and a plurality of working units for different processes. The control unit is functionally connected to the working units and the measuring devices. A work cycle at the packaging machine comprises at least a first functional process and a second functional process at one or at different working units, the second functional process starting later than the first functional process. The control unit may execute an early start for the second functional process of a working unit, when an actual process value of the preceding first functional process of the program sequence of one of the working units has not yet reached the respective target process value. The control unit may control the early start of the second functional process based on an approximation method for predetermining the temporal end of the first functional process.
