MANUFACTURING METHOD OF HIGH-PRESSURE TANK
A manufacturing method of a high-pressure tank including a reinforcement layer configured of fiber reinforced resin including carbon fiber and a liner provided on an inner side of the reinforcement layer includes: a step (a) of preparing the reinforcement layer including a cylindrical portion and a pair of dome portions, the dome portions disposed at respective ends of the cylindrical portion; a step (b) of forming a film on an inner surface of each of the cylindrical portion and the dome portions without using a polymerization catalyst that is deactivated by a component contained in the reinforcement layer; a step (c) of applying a material of the liner to a surface of the film, the material being an uncured material of the liner and containing the polymerization catalyst; and a step (d) of forming the liner by curing the material of the liner applied through a polymerization reaction.

POST CURING PROCESS FOR COMPOSITE PARTS PRODUCED BY FILAMENT WINDING MANUFACTURING PROCESS
A process for post curing a composite product made from a filament winding process comprises the steps of: surrounding the composite product, that is disposed about a rotatable mandrel, with an outer jacket; and simultaneously rotating and heating the mandrel resulting in post curing of the composite product according to a process that can be referred to as being a combo-semi-centrifugal post curing process.

Multiple layer hollow cylinder and method of making
A multiple layer hollow cylinder is provided. An inner air-tight material is wrapped about at least a portion of a mandrel to form a plurality of first material loops. Each first material loop subsequent to an initial first material loop at least partially overlaps a previous first material loop. A resin-infused fabric material is wrapped over the inner air-tight material to form a plurality of second material loops. Each second material loop subsequent to an initial second material loop at least partially overlaps a previous second material loop. An outer air-tight transparent material is wrapped over the resin-infused fabric material to form a plurality of third material loops. Each third material loop subsequent to an initial third material loop at least partially overlaps a previous third material loop. Energy is directed about the outer air-tight transparent material to cure the resin-infused fabric material to form a hollow cylinder.
Moisture permeable conduit for a breathing circuit
There is provided a flexible, helically wound conduit for a breathing circuit comprising an inlet 1, an outlet 3, and an enclosing wall 2 defining a flow passage between said inlet and said outlet, wherein at least a region of said enclosing wall is permeable to water vapor and one or more of O.sub.2 and CO.sub.2, and wherein the axial tensile strength of the enclosing wall is greater than 40N. Further provided are limbs comprising the conduit, a method of manufacturing the conduit and the use of the conduit to remove water vapor and/or CO.sub.2 from gas exhaled by a patient.
COMPOSITE BALL SCREW
A threaded shaft for a ball screw comprising: a shaft of fibre-reinforced polymer material; and a helical ridge formed on an outer surface of said shaft, said helical ridge being formed from a fibre-reinforced polymer material comprising a plurality of helical fibres wound around the shaft in the same sense and grouped together to form the ridge. The helical ridge formed from grouped helical fibres all wound with the same sense provides excellent axial load carrying capability as the fibres run continuously from end to end of the shaft and can thus transmit load from end to end. This adds much greater strength than a shaft formed from plastics only. The load carrying capability of the fibre wound helical ridge can indeed approach that of existing metal threads while still being much lighter in weight.
Core system, use of the core system in the production of a fiber composite component and method for producing a fiber composite component
A core system for the production of a fiber composite component includes at least two core elements which are coupled to one another and are displaceable relative to one another. At least one core element has a surface which is oblique to a displacement direction. A method for producing the fiber composite component uses the core system.
FILAMENT WINDING DEVICE
A filament winding device includes: a supporting unit that supports a mandrel on which a plurality of fiber bundles impregnated with a resin are wound, the supporting unit movable in the axial direction of the mandrel; and a helical unit having a plurality of fiber bundle guide units arranged radially in the circumferential direction of the mandrel and guide the corresponding plurality of fiber bundles to the mandrel, the helical unit supplying the plurality of fiber bundles to the mandrel through the fiber bundle guide units. Each of the fiber bundle guide units has a pressing roller for pressing a fiber bundle supplied to the mandrel, against the circumferential surface moving in the axial direction. The pressing roller can come into the contact with the circumferential surface of the mandrel and be rotationally driven about a roller axis extending in a roller axis direction perpendicular to the axial direction.
