System and method for fabricating and curing large composite structures
A system and method for fabricating large composite fuselages or other vehicle structures, in which the composite structure is fabricated and cured as on a tool, segmented and removed from the tool without disassembling the tool, and then reassembled off the tool to reform the large structure. The tool includes mandrel segments attached to a substructure. The attachments may be moveable to accommodate differential expansion and contraction during curing, and the tool may be rotatable to facilitate access. A composite material of resin and synthetic fibers is applied over the mandrel segments to fabricate the structure on the tool. Caul plates are secured over the composite material, and the composite material is cured on the tool. The resulting structure is cut into part segments which are then removed from the tool, and the part segments are joined to reassemble the large composite structure off the tool.
Coupler for air suspension and apparatus and method for manufacturing the same
A method of manufacturing a coupler for an air suspension includes: preparing a topping cord sheet and a rubber band; connecting the topping cord sheet and the rubber band to each other by attaching the rubber band to an outer circumferential surface of the topping cord sheet; and vulcanizing an intermediately formed body made by the connecting of the topping cord sheet and the rubber band to each other.

METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING A HEATABLE MEDIA LINE
The invention relates to a method for manufacturing a heatable media line (100), in particular for conducting and simultaneously reheating brewing water or a freshly brewed hot beverage (1) in a hot-beverage dispensing machine (1000). According to the invention, along a hose line (2), at least one heat transfer foil which homogenizes the heat transfer via the hose line surface and which is composed of a material with a thermal conductivity at 0° C. of λ>10 W/mK, preferably λ>50 W/mK, is wound onto the outside, and an electrical heating medium is applied to the heat transfer foil, which electrical heating medium serves for heating the hose line surface.
External onsite-manufactured continuous structural sleeve
Methods and systems are disclosed for encasing various structures with a seamless continuous sleeve, where the presence of existing supports does not allow slipping a sleeve over the structure. In these methods strips of fabrics smeared with or saturated by resin are helically or non-helically wrapped or placed around desired shape mandrels that are located around a support of the structure. As the resin is partially cured, a portion of the sleeve segment is moved away from the mandrel, leaving the rest of the sleeve on the mandrel to be attached to the next will-be-fabricated sleeve segment. The process will continue as many times as needed to create a sleeve of a desired length. In various embodiments the strength of the sleeves varies at different locations. In some embodiments the gaps between the sleeves and the structures are filled with gas, liquid, solid, or any other materials.
Pneumatic plug with sealing layer
An pneumatic plug for sealing a pipeline. The pneumatic plug includes a tubular member that extends in an axial direction from a first end to a second end. The tubular member includes a rubber layer and an elastomeric band. The rubber layer extends from the first end to the second end of the tubular member. The elastomeric band is disposed on a top of the rubber layer. The elastomeric band is positioned between the first end and the second end of the tubular member.
Reinforcement bar and method for manufacturing same
Reinforcement bars for concrete structures, comprising continuous, parallel fibers, made of basalt, carbon, glass fiber, or the like, embedded in a cured matrix, each bar being made of at least one fiber bundle comprising a number of parallel, cylindrical cross section fibers and said bars being provided with a surface shape and/or texture which contributes to good bonding with the concrete. Part of the surface of each bar being deformed prior to or during the curing by: a) strings of an elastic or inelastic, and/or b) at least one deformed section of each reinforcement bar; thereby producing a roughened surface.
