REUSABLE URINARY CATHETER KITS

Kits are provided for storing, transporting, and sterilizing reusable urinary catheters. A reusable urinary catheter stored within a housing of the kit may be sterilized between uses using a sterilization fluid or sterilizing light. If the reusable urinary catheter is sterilized using a sterilization fluid, the housing may include a manually actuated or electro-mechanical pump to circulate the sterilization fluid through the housing. The reusable urinary catheter may include a funnel secured to a catheter shaft, with a plurality of lateral openings defined in the funnel, which provide fluid communication between an interior of the funnel and an external surface of the catheter shaft. By allowing fluid communication between the interior of the funnel and the external surface of the catheter shaft, the lateral openings allow for fluid sterilization of both internal and external surfaces of the catheter shaft.

CLEANING DEVICE

Cleaning devices described herein can provide a hybrid fin and wiper system to facilitate removal of residual solids and liquids from a tubular device (e.g., endoscope), even in a single pass. The cleaning devices described herein can provide pressure equalization and release to effectively clean a blind channel without causing hydraulic compaction of debris. The cleaning devices described herein can provide a connection system that facilitates adjustment and customization based on the needs of a particular application.

CATHETER TIP PASSIVE CONTROL DEVICE AND RELATED SYSTEMS AND METHODS

A vascular access device to passively open a fluid path within a vasculature. The vascular access device may include a catheter and a guidewire. The catheter may have a proximal end, a tip, and a length of tubing therebetween. The guidewire may extend along the length of tubing and may include a bent portion. At least a portion of the length of tubing may substantially conform to the bent portion such that the tip of the catheter avoids an obstruction within the vasculature.

Refreshing stylets, catheter systems, and methods thereof are disclosed. The refreshing stylet can be configured to fit within a lumen of a catheter such as hemodialysis catheter. The refreshing stylet can include an elongated hollow body having a proximal portion coupled to a needleless connector, a distal portion ending in a distal tip, an interior surface, an exterior surface, and a side hole. The exterior surface can be coated with a sustained-release formulation including one or more anti-thrombotic agents. The sustained-release formulation can be configured to contact a luminal surface of the catheter and prevent thrombus formation thereon. The side hole can be configured to provide a locking solution to the lumen of the catheter for locking the catheter between uses.

CONCENTRIC CATHETERS AND RELATED SYSTEMS AND METHODS

A catheter system may include an outer catheter adapter, an outer catheter having an outer catheter lumen extending through the outer catheter, and an inner surface forming the outer catheter lumen. The catheter system may further include an inner catheter adapter, an inner catheter lumen extending through the inner catheter adapter and an inner catheter extending distally from the inner catheter adapter such that the inner catheter is disposed within the outer catheter lumen and the inner catheter and the inner catheter adapter are configured to move with respect to the outer catheter and the outer catheter adapter between a proximal position and a distal position.

VASCULAR ACCESS INSTRUMENT AND RELATED DEVICES AND METHODS

A vascular access system may include a catheter assembly, which may include a catheter adapter and a catheter extending distally from the catheter adapter. The vascular access system may include an instrument advancement device coupled to the catheter assembly. The instrument advancement device may include a vascular access instrument. The vascular access instrument may include a coil formed by a flat wire wound around an axis into multiple loops. The instrument advancement device may be configured to advance the vascular access instrument from a retracted position to an advanced position beyond a distal end of the catheter. The distal end of the catheter may include a distal opening. The coil may extend through the distal opening of the catheter in response to the vascular access instrument being in the advanced position.

APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR CLEARING A CATHETER BLOCKAGE FLUSHING AN ORGAN, OR INSTILLING MEDICINE INTO AN ORGAN
20250229056 · 2025-07-17 ·

An apparatus and a corresponding method for flushing fluid through a catheter that has, or that is connected to tubing that has, a Luer lock and a Luer-lock interface, wherein the Luer lock opens when a Luer-lock connector is connected to the Luer-lock interface. In some embodiments, the system includes a monolithic structure that includes a fluid-source connector configured to removably connect to a fluid source; a Luer-lock connector configured to operatively connect to the Luer-lock interface on the catheter; and a fluid passageway between the fluid-source connector and the Luer-lock connector. Some embodiments are used for irrigating and flushing an organ (such as flushing an organ with a medication, cancer-treatment fluid, or the like, or instilling medication, cancer-treatment fluid, or the like into the organ).

Flush syringe assembly with controlled pulsatile flushing

Flush syringe assemblies capable of creating pulsatile movement of the plunger rod as it moves in the distal direction within a syringe barrel, while preventing overpressurization of the catheter are provided. An exemplary flush syringe assembly includes a syringe barrel with a first pulsing element and a chamber with flush solution, a plunger rod with a stopper and a second pulsing element that interacts with the first pulsing element to provide an engagement force that causes pulsatile movement of the plunger rod and a thumb press slidably attached to the plunger rod with a pulse control element. The pulse control element is compressible to create a compression force that is greater than the engagement force of the first pulsing element and the second pulsing element.

Motion-assisted systems, devices and methods for minimizing obstruction of medical devices

A device for minimizing obstruction in a medical device that carries fluids includes a housing defining a channel configured to receive and secure a section of the medical device such that the section of the medical device extends coaxially with a central longitudinal axis of the channel. The device also includes components supported in the housing, including a motor, wherein the components are configured to be operated to impart motion to the housing and the attached medical device. The motion is configured to produce oscillatory motion of a frequency sufficient to concentrate shear stresses in a fluid boundary layer adjacent an inner wall of the medical device. The housing and the components supported in the housing are configured and arranged so that a device center of mass lies along or near the longitudinal axis of the channel.
