REUSABLE URINARY CATHETER PRODUCTS
Reusable catheter products (10) are provided for storing, transporting, and sterilizing reusable urinary catheters. The products include a case (12) comprising a proximal section (30), a middle section (40), and a distal section (32). The case includes a cavity (16) configured to receive a catheter (14); the cavity includes a hydration fluid (18). The catheter comprises a distal end, a proximal end and a tubular section therebetween and includes a hydrophilic coating. When the catheter is inserted into the case, the hydration fluid sterilizes and lubricates the catheter.
REUSABLE URINARY CATHETER KITS
Kits are provided for storing, transporting, and sterilizing reusable urinary catheters. A reusable urinary catheter stored within a housing of the kit may be sterilized between uses using a sterilization fluid or sterilizing light. If the reusable urinary catheter is sterilized using a sterilization fluid, the housing may include a manually actuated or electromechanical pump to circulate the sterilization fluid through the housing. The reusable urinary catheter may include a funnel secured to a catheter shaft, with a plurality of lateral openings defined in the funnel, which provide fluid communication between an interior of the funnel and an external surface of the catheter shaft. By allowing fluid communication between the interior of the funnel and the external surface of the catheter shaft, the lateral openings allow for fluid sterilization of both internal and external surfaces of the catheter shaft.

CATHETER ASSEMBLY HOUSING AND RELATED DEVICES AND METHODS
A vascular access device may include a housing, a catheter assembly and a needle assembly. The housing includes a proximal end, a distal end, and a slot extending longitudinally therebetween. The catheter assembly includes a catheter hub and a catheter extending distally from the catheter hub, wherein the catheter and the catheter hub are disposed within the housing. The needle assembly includes a needle hub having a translation feature and an introducer needle having a sharp distal tip. The introducer needle extends distally from the needle hub through the catheter. The translation feature is moveable along the slot to translate the needle hub between the proximal end of the housing and the distal end of the housing.
Fluid transfer devices with extended length catheters and methods of using the same
An apparatus includes a housing, a catheter, and an actuator. The housing has a first port and a second port that is coupleable to an indwelling vascular access device. The catheter is at least partially disposed in the housing such that the first port of the housing receives a proximal end portion of the catheter. The actuator is partially disposed in the housing to selectively engage a portion of the catheter in the housing. The actuator is configured to be rotated an angular distance relative to the housing to move a distal end portion of the catheter a linear distance from a first position inside the housing, to a second position in which the catheter extends through the second port and distal to the indwelling vascular access device when the second port is coupled thereto. The linear distance is greater than the angular distance.
KIT FOR CREATING DISPOSABLE DILATORS AND METHOD FOR THE USE THEREOF
A kit for creating disposable dilators and a method for dilating using the kit are disclosed. The kit may include a plurality of disposable members fillable with an object and one or more components configured for facilitating shaping the plurality of disposable members into use configurations. Each of the plurality of disposable members may be configured to be shaped into one or more predetermined use configurations.
Dosage and administration of non-fucosylated anti-CD40 antibodies
This invention relates methods of using a non-fucosylated anti-CD40 antibody for treatment of cancer and chronic infectious diseases.
Telescopic Urinary Catheter Assemblies
A urinary catheter assembly includes a catheter member and a sleeve member receiving at least a portion of the catheter member and having a greater flexibility than the catheter member. The assembly also includes a stylet having a proximal end movably positioned within the catheter member, with a distal portion of the stylet being positioned outside of the catheter member. The assembly is movable between a compact configuration and an extended configuration. In the compact configuration, the distal portion of the stylet is positioned outside of the catheter member and at least partially within the sleeve member. In the extended configuration, a larger distal portion of the stylet is positioned outside of the catheter member than in the compact configuration. The assembly may be in the extended configuration for introduction into a urethra or may be advanced through a urethra prior to being moved to the extended configuration.
MEDICAL DEVICE PACKAGE WITH FLIP CAP HAVING A SNAP FIT
A package for a medical device such as an intermittent catheter has a case which is closed at one end and open at the other end. A cap is connected to the case by a hinge to permit selectable movement of the cap between an open position, wherein access is provided to the open end of the case, and a closed position, wherein the cap prevents access to the open end of the case. A seal is connected to one of the cap and case. The seal is engageable with the other of the cap and case when the cap is closed to form a barrier that maintains a sterile environment inside the package. The seal can be repeatedly made and broken whenever the user closes or opens the cap, respectively. The case includes a pair of slots at the open end. A pair of latches are formed in the cap. The latches fit into the slots to prevent lateral forces from distorting the cap when the cap is closed.
Catheter with Variable Length Extension Leg
A catheter assembly for organizing a catheter system is disclosed. The catheter assembly can include a molded hub, a catheter tube coupled to a distal end of the molded hub, a plurality of extension legs having distal ends coupled to the molded hub, and a securing mechanism. The molded hub can include a pair of hub lumens forming a hub portion of a pair of fluid pathways through the catheter assembly. The catheter tube can include a pair of catheter tube lumens. The securing mechanism can be configured to secure the plurality of extension legs together. The securing mechanism can be in the form of a slidable collar including a proximal opening and distal opening, wherein the slidable collar is positioned over the plurality of extension legs.
