The present application relates to a protective leather case and a positioning device for protecting a smart terminal. The protective leather case includes a leather layer; an adhesive layer; and a positioning release film including a first release film and a second release film. The leather layer, the adhesive layer and the positioning release film are laminated sequentially. The first release film is provided in a first direction. At least two second release films are provided, and are arranged on both sides of the first release film in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction. The protective leather case can be used to facilitate accurate positioning and lamination between the protective leather case and the smart terminal.

The application device includes a base, a first actuating lever, and a second actuating lever. The base includes an accommodation and a support, wherein the support defines first grooves and second grooves. The first actuating lever has first controlled pivot portions guided and limited by the first grooves, a first pressing portion, a first arm, and a body with a positioning protrusion. The second actuating lever has second controlled pivot portions guided and limited by the second grooves, a second pressing portion, a second arm, and a body. A kit is also disclosed for protecting a display screen of a screen-mounted device, which includes a two-stage application device, and at least one screen protector including a protective film with at least one adhesive layer, and a backing sheet.

The adhesive release liner can be configured to protect the adhesive agent at the bottom side of the overlay from contaminants. The overlay applicator can include a protective film removably attached to the top side of the overlay. The overlay applicator can include an alignment tab. Systems and films for protecting surfaces of various substrates, including electronic devices, such as portable electronic devices, include a liner with a strip liner and a main liner. The strip liner, which covers a small strip of adhesive on the back side of a protective film, is configured to be removed before the main liner. With the small strip of adhesive exposed, the protective film may be aligned with a substrate and, if necessary, removed from the substrates and repositioned thereon. Thereafter, the main liner may be removed to enable complete application of the protective film to the substrate. Methods for securing protective films to substrates are also disclosed.

According to the processing technology of the present disclosure, various patterns can be designed and processed in different ways or combinations according to the user's requirements.

Autonomous Application of Screen Protector

An autonomous application machine installs screen protectors on mobile devices, such as cell phones. The machine has an enclosure with an interior. A cleaning station has a cleaning implement to contact a screen of the mobile device. A magazine carries a plurality of screen protectors. A lamination station has an applicator to place a screen protector from the magazine on the screen of the mobile device. A vision inspection station has a light source and a camera to initially visually inspect the screen of mobile device prior to cleaning in the cleaning station and to verify that the screen is undamaged and free of an existing screen protector; and subsequently visually inspect the screen protector on the mobile device after installation in the lamination station and to verify that the screen protector has been properly installed.
