DEVICE AND METHOD FOR APPLYING PROTECTIVE FILMS
The present technology provides a device for applying films to displays or other surfaces of apparatuses such as phones and tablets, for example. The device includes a frame and a multi-layer pad including an adhesive film. The pad is coupled with the frame along an edge. The frame can be clamped or otherwise coupled with the apparatus. When properly coupled, the frame and the apparatus register with a certain tolerance and the film registers easily with the apparatus when taut and laid down beginning distal of the edge that is coupled with the frame while the film close to the edge remains slightly elevated from the apparatus to facilitate the application process. The whole film can then be pasted onto the apparatus using a suitable spatula, for example. The device allows for reliable registration between adhesive film and apparatus and reduces inclusion and bubble formation during application.
PROTECTIVE SYSTEMS FOR ELECTRONIC DEVICES
A system for protecting a surface of a substrate includes a protective film, which is configured to be applied and secured to the surface, as well as a backing on an adherent surface of the protective film and an application tape over an exterior surface of the protective film. Protruding features, such as tabs, adjacent to different peripheral edges of the protective film may enable removal of the backing and the application tape from the protective film, and may include features that indicate the order in which each protruding feature is to be grasped to peel its corresponding element away from the protective film.
DRY APPLY PROTECTIVE METHODS
A system for protecting a surface of a substrate includes a protective film, which is configured to be applied and secured to the surface, as well as a backing on an adherent surface of the protective film and an application tape over an exterior surface of the protective film. Protruding features, such as tabs, adjacent to different peripheral edges of the protective film may enable removal of the backing and the application tape from the protective film, and may include features that indicate the order in which each protruding feature is to be grasped to peel its corresponding element away from the protective film. Methods of using such a system are also disclosed.
Screen film applicator
A screen film applicator includes a seat, a positioning member, and a first mechanism, the latter two of which are disposed on the seat. The seat has a track and a positioning portion arranged beside the track. The positioning member is movable with respect to the positioning portion for clamping a communication device. The first mechanism includes a top fixing member disposed on the seat, a moving carriage movable along the track, a bottom fixing member synchronously movable with the moving carriage, and a roller movable with the moving carriage. The top and the bottom fixing members are configured to respectively fix a top releasing film and a bottom releasing film respectively adhered on two opposite sides of a soft screen film. When the moving carriage is moved away from the top fixing member, the roller can gradually press the soft screen film onto the communication device.

FILM PASTING TOOL AND FILM PASTING METHOD
A film pasting tool is used to paste one surface of a film on a member-to-be-pasted at a predetermined position. The tool comprises a flexible tabular body, a first adhesive part, a front surface thereof being adhesive, provided on one surface of the body, and a second adhesive part, a front surface thereof being adhesive, provided on a part of a region other than a region where the first adhesive part is provided out of one surface of the body. An other surface of the film is pastable on the front surface of the second adhesive part, and when the other surface of the film is pasted on the front surface of the second adhesive part, the front surface of the first adhesive part is exposed in such a manner that the front surface of the first adhesive part is pastable on the member-to-be-pasted.
Hand-held squeegee with ring loop
A hand-held squeegee for applying or installing wraps and/or films to surfaces. The hand-held squeegee includes a blade portion, a handle portion, and a ring loop portion. The hand-held squeegee is placed over or around a user's finger so that the squeegee can rotate about the user's finger between use and non-use, and is conveniently secured to the user's hand even when it is not actively in use by the user or when the user is using another tool.
PROTECTIVE FILM ATTACHING APPARATUS
A protective film attaching apparatus is for attaching a protective film to a display area of a portable electronic apparatus. A protective film attaching apparatus includes a case configured to receive a rear surface of a portable electronic apparatus, a cover configured to receive a front surface of the portable electronic apparatus and formed at a side of the case configured to rotate for opening or closing the case, and a film member provided in the cover configured to be attached on a front display area of the portable electronic apparatus.
Window tinting tool
A tool for applying tint film to the rear window of an automobile has a unitary body with a concave top side and a convex bottom side, and the unitary body including a first elongate wing with front and rear edges extending to a first distal end, and an opposite second elongate wing with front and rear edges extending to a second distal end, and a central portion between the first and second elongate wings. The unitary body includes a skeletal frame member and flexible blades fitted to the skeletal frame member and extending about a periphery of the first and second elongate wings to define the front and rear edges and distal ends. The skeletal frame maintains desired curvature and prevents excessive flexing and bending of the elongate wings. The first and second wings have different degrees of curvature measured transversely between the respective front and rear edges.
