Electrically-responsive hydrogels
Implants comprising electrically-responsive hydrogel are described. Systems to provide electricity to induce response in hydrogel-containing implants are described. Methods for utilizing said system and methods for utilizing said hydrogel-containing implants are described.
Dilator with engagement region
An example dilator is disclosed. The example dilator includes a hub and an elongate shaft having a distal end region, a proximal end region and a cross-sectional profile. Additionally, the proximal end region of the elongate shaft is coupled to the hub and the elongate shaft is configured to extend through at least a portion of a lumen of an expandable introducer sheath. Additionally, the cross-sectional profile of the elongate shaft includes at least one engagement portion and at least a portion of the expandable introducer sheath extends into the at least one engagement portion of the dilator.
Method And Device For Scanning Blood Vessels
Disclosed is a method of scanning a blood vessel according to several exemplary embodiments of the present disclosure. The method may include: inserting a first catheter for applying a fluorescent material into the blood vessel; applying the fluorescent material to a target point in the blood vessel using the first catheter; inserting a second catheter for scanning the blood vessel into the blood vessel after removing the first catheter from the blood vessel; and acquiring microstructure information and biochemical information of the blood vessel by using the second catheter after the second catheter is inserted into the blood vessel.
Multilumen Body for a Medical Device
A multilumen body for a medical device, comprising a first tubular element and a second tubular element, which is arranged in the first tubular element and which is in contact with the first tubular element at least in sections and movable relative to the first tubular element, an inner surface of the first tubular element having a first profile and/or an outer surface of the second tubular element having a second profile so that the contact surface between the first tubular element and the second tubular element is smaller than without the first profile and/or without the second profile. The multilumen body is characterized in that the first profile and/or the second profile include a plurality of alternating elevations and depressions, wherein a maximum distance between two neighboring elevations is 100 μm.
Cannula and infusion devices
Infusion devices including a cannula have a tubular body member comprising a tubular wall enclosing a longitudinal extending internal bore. The cannula is adapted to flex in response to a compression force and/or an increased internal pressure in the cannula.
GUIDEWIRE WITH INTERNAL PRESSURE SENSOR
A pressure guidewire is provided that has a proximal end and a distal end. The pressure guidewire has a proximal section a sensor housing section, and an intermediate section. The proximal section extends from the proximal end of the pressure guidewire to a distal end of the proximal section. The sensor housing section is disposed adjacent to the distal end of the pressure guidewire. The intermediate section disposed between the proximal section and the sensor housing section. The intermediate section has a proximal end separate from the proximal section. The proximal end can be coupled to the distal end of the proximal section. The pressure guidewire has a tubular body positioned within the intermediate section. A pressure sensor is positioned in the sensor housing section
CATHETER WITH TEXTURED SURFACE
A catheter can have a textured outer body surface with protrusions and/or indentations that can reduce friction between the outer body surface and vascular anatomy or an inner lumen of another catheter in contact with the outer body surface. The catheter can include protrusions and/or indentations on an inner lumen surface that can reduce friction between the inner lumen surface and an outer body surface of another catheter within the example catheter. The protrusions can be filled with a lubricant or vasodilating drug, and the protrusions can be configured to break to release the fluid in response to forces on the protrusion during navigation through vascular anatomy and/or an inner lumen of another catheter. The catheter can include a metallic tubular reinforcing layer with openings through which the protrusions and/or indentations extend and/or protrusions and/or indentations shaped into the reinforcing layer.
Packaging container for antimicrobial caps
Systems, methods, and articles for providing an antimicrobial composition to the proximal elements of a trans-dermal catheter and into the lumen of the transdermal catheter are disclosed. In an embodiment, an antimicrobial composition on surface a cap element transfers antimicrobial to the proximal end of the transdermal catheter. The system comprises an elongate member configured for insertion into a lumen of a catheter, the elongate member containing an antimicrobial.
Venous Catheter Device Capable of Being Sealed
An occludable venous catheter device includes a needle tube with a needle tube base; a venous catheter with a venous catheter base; a sealer, a front portion disposed inside a venous catheter lumen, a front end exposed out of a front-end opening; an occluding wire; an isolating element; a guide passage with a straight tube portion; a front-end opening connected to the venous catheter lumen; wherein the occluding wire is capable of entering the venous catheter lumen; the straight tube portion is coaxial with the venous catheter or is capable of moving in an externally-isolated manner to a position such that a central axis of the straight tube portion coincides with a central axis of the venous catheter; the occluding wire and the guide passage reach directly inside a chamber and are isolated from the outer environment.
ATHERECTOMY CATHETERS AND OCCLUSION CROSSING DEVICES
An atherectomy catheter includes an elongate flexible catheter body, a cutter near the distal end of the catheter body, a drive shaft connected to the cutter and extending within the catheter body, an imaging element near the distal end of the catheter body.
