CONFIRMATION OF CATHETER PLACEMENT WITHIN A VEIN
A catheter system may include a catheter adapter, which may include a distal end and a proximal end. The catheter system may include a catheter, which may include a distal end, a proximal end, a catheter lumen extending through the distal end of the catheter and the proximal end of the catheter, and an inner surface forming the catheter lumen. The catheter may extend distally from the distal end of the catheter adapter. The distal end of the catheter may include one or more holes. The distal end of the catheter may include one or more channels. The holes and/or the channels may facilitate visualization of blood flashback indicating the catheter is disposed within a vein of a patient.
Fluid dispensing catheter
A fluid dispensing catheter includes an inner member defining a first passage and an outer member defining a second passage. The inner member is disposed within the second passage. The fluid dispensing catheter also includes a plug having a proximal section positioned within the first passage and a distal section extending distally from the proximal section. The distal section is positioned outside of the first passage and within the second passage.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR DELIVERING PRESSURIZED FLUID TO A TARGET SITE ALONE OR IN CONJUNCTION WITH THERAPEUTIC AGENTS
A system suitable for delivering a therapeutic agent to a target site may include a container for holding a therapeutic agent; a pressure source having pressurized fluid, the pressure source in selective fluid communication with at least a portion of the container; a catheter in selective fluid communication with the container and configured for delivery of the therapeutic agent or the pressurized fluid to a target site; and a housing configured to securely retain the container and movably support a switch, where the switch is movable between a first position and a second position, where when the switch is in the first position, delivery of the therapeutic agent is prevented while delivery of the pressurized fluid is permitted, and where when the switch is in the second position, delivery of the therapeutic agent is permitted.
Rapid aspiration thrombectomy system and method
An intravascular access system for facilitation of intraluminal medical procedures within the neurovasculature through an access sheath. The system includes an aspiration or support catheter having a flexible, distal luminal portion having an inner diameter defining a lumen extending between a proximal opening at a proximal end of the luminal portion and a distal opening at a distal end of the luminal portion. The catheter has a rigid spine coupled to at least the proximal end of the luminal portion and extending proximally therefrom. The system includes a dilator having a flexible, distal dilator portion sized to be received within the lumen of the luminal portion. Associated systems, devices, and methods of use are also described.
Insertable catheter device for patch application
An insertable catheter device includes a shaft including a proximal end and a distal end, an expandable balloon, and an actuator configured to expand and retract the expandable balloon. The actuator includes a fluid conduit that extends through the shaft and is coupled with the expandable balloon to enable inflation and retraction of the expandable balloon via injection or withdrawal of a fluid to or from the expandable balloon via the fluid conduit. The expandable balloon is displaceably retractable into the shaft and extendable from the shaft. A fluid pump is coupled with the fluid conduit to pump the fluid through the fluid conduit. A patch is positioned to be displaced by the expandable balloon when the expandable balloon is inflated, and the expandable balloon is displaceably retractable into the shaft and displaceably extendable from the shaft.
Catheter distal end made of plastic tube and flexible printed circuit boards
A catheter includes an insertion tube, a flexible substrate and one or more electrical devices. The insertion tube is configured for insertion into a patient body. The flexible substrate is configured to wrap around a distal end of the insertion tube and includes electrical interconnections. The electrical devices are coupled to the flexible substrate and are connected to the electrical interconnections.
PROSTHETIC HEART VALVE DELIVERY APPARATUS
Disclosed herein is a delivery apparatus used to introduce a prosthetic device, such as a heart valve or other implant, into a patient's vasculature. The delivery apparatus includes a sheath member defining a tubular structure and a tip portion provided at the distal end of the sheath member. The inner surface of the tip portion includes structure for directing expansion of the heart valve during delivery and/or also directing folding and/or crimping of the prosthetic heart valve as it is withdrawn back into the sheath.
EMBOLIZATION MICROCATHETER
Microcatheter for delivering a substance (e.g., infusion agent including embolization material and/or contrast enhancing material) in a small blood vessel towards a target bodily part. Includes a single lumen surrounded by tubular wall having outer diameter and opened at both ends; tubular wall proximal portion is connectable to a pressure source and reservoir containing infusion agent, and tubular wall distal portion ends with a tip; the tubular wall distal portion includes an infusion agent flow disruption section configured to disrupt passage therethrough of incoming retrograded flow of infusion agent, during continuous delivery of infusion suspension from the reservoir to the tip. Disclosed are methods using the microcatheter for performing local embolization in a small blood vessel feeding a (for example, cancerous) target bodily part, and for delivering infusion agent in a small blood vessel towards such target bodily part. Also disclosed are devices and methods for filtering non-target infusion agent.
CATHETER
A catheter that does not require a fixing tool for fixing an end of a reinforcing body to an inner layer and does not require a separate marker to allow a user of the catheter to visually recognize a position of the catheter during procedures. The catheter includes a catheter main body having an inner layer that is a hollow tubular body, a braid that covers an outer periphery of the inner layer from a proximal end of the inner layer to a distal end of the inner layer, and an outer layer that covers an outer periphery of the braid. At least one end portion of the braid is folded under itself to form a folded part, and an end of the braid is in contact with the inner layer and is arranged in a lowest layer of the folded part.
GAS SAMPLING CATHETERS, SYSTEMS AND METHODS
Embodiments herein include gas sampling catheters, systems and related methods. In an embodiment, a gas sampling catheter is included. The catheter can include a catheter shaft having a proximal end and a distal end, the catheter shaft defining a lumen therein. The catheter can include a gas sampling port providing fluid communication between the exterior of the catheter shaft adjacent the distal end of the lumen of the catheter shaft. The catheter can further include a sensor element disposed in fluid communication with the lumen, the sensor element configured to detect a component of a gaseous sample. The sensor element can include a first measurement zone comprising a plurality of discrete binding detectors. Other embodiments are also included herein.
