Linear Friction Welder System and Method of Operating
A linear friction welding system includes a processing circuit configured to execute program instructions stored in a memory to control a first motor using one of a torque and speed control, placing a plurality of timing gears in a configuration wherein a fixed projection of one of the timing gears is at a trail position of a slot of another timing gear such that two power shafts of a cam assembly are rotating in phase and a ram is motionless. The processing circuit further controls a hydraulic press to generate a pressure between two components to be welded with the power shafts rotating in phase, and controls the second motor using the one of the torque and speed control to place the timing gears in a second configuration whereat the fixed projection is at a lead position of the slot thereby forcing the ram to oscillate.
HYRBID WELDING OF THERMOPLASTICS
A process for welding of at least two separate vehicle panels (12, 14) to form an integral part (16) for a vehicle. There is provided at least one first panel (12) including a first weld line area (18) and at least one second panel (14) including a corresponding second weld line area (19), the second weld line area (19) abutting in a weldable relationship to the first weld line area (18). The first and second weld line areas (18, 19) have at least one first weldable portion (22) and at least one second portion (24) at which welding is substantially hindered during welding attachment of the first and second panels (12, 14). The process includes applying a curable adhesive at each second portion (24), placing in a welding fixture and welding the panels (12, 14) at each first weldable portion (22) such that the panels (12, 14) are held together during curing of the adhesive.
FILING SYSTEM AND METHODS FOR ASEPTIC CARTRIDGE AND DISPENSER ARRANGEMENT
A package for use with a beneficial agent delivery device. The package includes at least one filling chamber having a sealed penetrable access region, at least one compartment configured to hold a content, wherein the content includes at least one of a beneficial agent or a constituent of a beneficial agent, and at least one channel connecting the at least one filling chamber in fluid communication with the at least one compartment. At least a portion of the package is resealable to contain the content.
RESIN PIPING ASSEMBLY, AND PROCESS OF FORMING THE SAME
A resin piping assembly including a base divisional component having first and second half components having respective first and second interfacial surfaces formed along an oil passage, and first and second divisional components which have respective third and fourth interfacial surfaces formed along the oil passage, and which are bonded to the respective first and second half components. Each of the base divisional component, and the first and second divisional components is formed of a resin material, and the first and second interfacial surfaces are spaced apart from each other, and open in respective opposite directions. The base divisional component further includes a cylindrical connecting pipe portion having a connecting passage portion which is a part of the oil passage and which is provided for communication between the first and second passage portions. Also disclosed is a process of forming the resin piping assembly.

FRICTION STIR SPOT WELDING APPARATUS AND FRICTION STIR SPOT WELDING METHOD
A friction stir spot welding apparatus including a controller that (A) operates a rotary driver and a tool driver such that a pin and a shoulder are brought into contact with a welded workpiece; (B) operates, after the (A), the rotary driver and the tool driver such that the pin separates from the welded workpiece; and (C) operates, after the (B), the rotary driver and the tool driver such that the pin advances toward the welded workpiece. The controller controls the tool driver such that pressing force applied to the welded workpiece from the pin and the shoulder in the (C) is smaller than that in the (B) and/or controls the rotary driver such that rotational frequencies of the pin and the shoulder in the (C) are lower than those in the (B).
Formed sheet membrane element and filtration system
A piece of substrate material is formed under heat and pressure by a roller against a cavity or platen into a shaped substrate sheet having one or more depressions. Two substrate sheets are bonded together to form a substrate wherein the one or more depressions form one or more interior channels. The substrate is coated with a dope in a casting device having a guide portion corresponding to the shape of the substrate sheets and quenched to form a filtering membrane.
Device and method for joining a lens to a housing of a lighting device of a motor vehicle
A device for joining a lens to a housing of a lighting device of a motor vehicle, having a receptacle device for accommodating and securing the housing, a pre-centering device for aligning and clamping the lens on the housing during an alignment procedure, and having a holding device for accommodating the lens after the alignment procedure and for holding the lens during an adjustment process, wherein the holding device is releasably attached to the pre-centering device by fastening elements during the alignment operation, and wherein the pre-centering device, together with the accommodated lens and the holding device attached to the pre-centering device is movable relative to the receptacle device during the alignment procedure such that the lens and the holding device can be aligned on the housing accommodated in the receptacle device.
