ULTRASONIC SETTING OF A CONNECTOR TO AN OBJECT
A computer implemented method comprises the steps of: providing a user interface to a computer terminal; providing a welding machine interface (252) to a welding machine (22; 31) which is equipped with a set of sensors having a power supply sensor (221; 311) configured to sense a power supplied by the welding machine (22; 31) to set a connector to an object in runtime; obtaining a threshold performance metric data signal representing threshold product performance metric predefined via the user interface; obtaining a power supply data signal from the welding machine (22; 31) via the welding machine interface (252), which power supply data signal represents the sensed power supplied by the welding machine (22; 31) to set the connector to the object; applying a machine learning model to the power represented by the obtained power supply data signal such that the machine learning model calculates a model product performance metric, wherein the machine learning model is specifically pre trained with training power sensed by the power supply sensor (221; 311) of the set of sensors of the welding machine (22; 31) and measured product performance metrics; comparing the calculated model product performance metric to the threshold product performance metric represented by the threshold performance metric data signal; and generating a non-consistency data signal when the calculated product performance metric does not comply with the threshold product performance metric.
VIBRATION WELDING DEVICE
A vibration welding device includes a base plate, a vibrating body, and a plurality of position adjusting jigs. The vibrating body is capable of vibrating while holding an interior part which is an object to be welded. The base plate is disposed below the vibrating body. The base plate holds an instrument panel which is an object to be welded. The position adjusting jigs are connected to the vibrating body so as to be adjustable in position. The plurality of position adjusting jigs are disposed independently of each other.
Securing a second object to a first object
A method of bonding a second object to a first object includes: providing the first object, which includes a thermoplastic liquefiable material in a solid state; providing the second object, which includes a surface portion that has a coupling structure with an undercut such that the second object can make a positive-fit connection with the first object; and pressing the second object against the first object with a tool that is in physical contact with a coupling-in structure of the second object while mechanical vibrations are coupled into the tool. The step of pressing and coupling vibrations into the tool continues until a flow portion of the thermoplastic material of the first object is liquefied and flows into the coupling structures of the second object. Thereafter, the thermoplastic material of the first object is permitted to re-solidify to yield a positive-fit connection between the first and second objects.
Cam assembly in a linear friction welder system
A cam assembly in a linear friction welding system includes two power shafts. Each of the shafts have two timing gears mounted thereupon. For one of the shafts, one of the timing gears includes a slot extending within the timing gear which is formed as an arc about a center of rotation of the power shaft. The other timing gear on that shaft includes a fixed pin which extends into the slot. A cross-over shaft is operably connected to both power shafts.
Hyrbid welding of thermoplastics
A process for welding of at least two separate vehicle panels (12, 14) to form an integral part (16) for a vehicle. There is provided at least one first panel (12) including a first weld line area (18) and at least one second panel (14) including a corresponding second weld line area (19), the second weld line area (19) abutting in a weldable relationship to the first weld line area (18). The first and second weld line areas (18, 19) have at least one first weldable portion (22) and at least one second portion (24) at which welding is substantially hindered during welding attachment of the first and second panels (12, 14). The process includes applying a curable adhesive at each second portion (24), placing in a welding fixture and welding the panels (12, 14) at each first weldable portion (22) such that the panels (12, 14) are held together during curing of the adhesive.
Machine for welding workpieces made of plastic materials
Machine for welding workpieces made of plastic materials of the type comprising: two workpiece-carrying fixtures each provided with a template having a recess adapted to accommodate a respective plastic workpiece to be welded; a moving assembly adapted to selectively couple and press the two workpiece-carrying fixtures to/against each other, so as to tighten the plastic workpieces housed in the templates one against the other; a vibrating member which is adapted to vibrate on command a first workpiece-carrying fixture; automatic piece locking means adapted to selectively lock/immobilise the plastic workpiece to be welded inside the template of the first workpiece-carrying fixture; and an electronic control unit adapted to drive/control said automatic piece locking means.
MANUFACTURING METHOD FOR FLUID CONTROL APPARATUS
This manufacturing method for a fluid control apparatus, in which the flow of a fluid is controlled by bringing a diaphragm valve element into contact with or separating the same from a valve seat, is characterized in that: the diaphragm valve element is a joint body of a seat member making contact with the valve seat and a body member; the joint body is formed by cutting a material joint body obtained by depositing a seat member material which is a material for the seat member and a body member material which is a material for the body member, and the deposition is performed over a wider range than a contact surface between the seat member and the body member of the joint body, on the contact surface between the seat member material and the body member material of the material joint body.
Bonding objects together
A method of bonding a first object to a second object, including the steps of: providing a profile body having a first profile body portion; providing the first object, wherein the first object has thermoplastic material; providing the second object, wherein the profile body is separate from and attachable to the second object or wherein the second object includes the profile body; embedding the profile body in the first object such that the first profile body portion is within the thermoplastic material of the first object. Embedding the profile body in the first object is caused by mechanical energy impinging on the first object and/or on the second object while the first object and the second object are pressed against each other.
