A pressure jaw assembly (1) for a sealing jaw arrangement of a filling machine. The pressure jaw assembly (1) comprises a pressure jaw frame (10), a pressure element (20) arranged to be moved relative the pressure jaw frame (10), a compressing means (40) arranged at least partly between the pressure jaw frame (10) and the pressure element (20). The compressing means (40) is arranged to influence the relative movement between the pressure element (20) and the pressure jaw frame (10). The pressure jaw assembly (1) further comprises a guide (50, 52) for guiding the pressure element (20). The guide (50, 52) is connected to the pressure jaw frame (10), and the guide (50, 52) is arranged externally of the pressure element (20).

The invention is directed to a balanced process for extrusion of a plastic corrugated sheet or blanks, and subsequent converting of the blanks into plastic boxes. The process includes conveying the blanks to a plurality of forming stations for incrementally forming features on the blank needed for forming a box. The present process is performed at a slower speed than typical paper corrugated forming.

The laminate has a plurality of structural layers, each formed of electrically conductive fibers embedded in a thermoplastic matrix. Eddy currents may be induced in the electrically conductive fibers by an electrical conductor that generates an electromagnetic field. The structural layers include a first, a second and, optionally, a third pair of two adjacently positioned structural layers. The first pair has an intermediate layer which allows eddy currents to flow between the two structural layers of the first pair. The second pair has an intermediate layer which prevents eddy currents from flowing between the two structural layers of the second pair. The optional third pair does not have an intermediate layer. The laminate shows efficient heating by an electromagnetic field.

A sealing station configured to heat seal a wall made from heat-sealable film material, preferably metal-free heat-sealable film material, onto one another wall of heat-sealable material, e.g. another wall of heat-sealable film material, to create a sealed seam. The sealing station comprises an impulse sealing device comprising a first jaw and a second jaw, wherein at least the first jaw comprises at the respective front surface thereof at least one, e.g. a single elongated, impulse heatable member that extends along the respective front surface and that is covered by a heat-resistant non-stick covering.
