A pipe includes an elongate strip wound into a tubular pipe form with the upper surface and the ribs at an exterior of the tubular pipe form, and with a first portion of a first side overlapping a first portion of a second side along a helical joint. A plastic seam weld is applied between the overlapping first portions for bonding the overlapping first portions together. A plastic overweld extends over the overlapping first portions and over both a second portion of the first side and a second portion of the second side. The second portion of the first side is adjacent to the first portion of the first side and does not overlap with any part of the second side, and the second portion of the second side is adjacent to the first portion of the second side and does not overlap any part of the first side.

A joining device (214) is positioned downstream of the spool arranged to provide energy to a portion of the member in its extended form to cause heating so as to progressively join together the longitudinal edges of the slit tube as the member passes the joining device. A longitudinal seam (20) is thereby formed in the tube.

The force and opposing force maintain an aerodynamic contour of the second blade component. The method further includes connecting the joint location of the first blade component and the joint location of the second blade component together.

The method positions the display panel within a resin barrier that is located on the surface such that a cavity is formed, places a film and the display panel together, and applies a force on the display panel that causes the display panel to conform to the surface of the aircraft structure. The display panel has a shape that changes to a first shape to match a second shape of the surface of the aircraft structure. The method also injects a resin into the cavity while the force is applied, and cures the resin in the cavity while the force is applied to form a cured resin. The cured resin holds the display panel in the first shape and attaches the display panel to the surface of the aircraft structure.
