METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING BONDED OBJECT AND BONDED OBJECT MANUFACTURING APPARATUS
20230130441 · 2023-04-27 ·

A bonded object manufacturing apparatus is for manufacturing a bonded object in which a first object and a second object, which is more flexible than the first object, are bonded by a bonding agent, viscosity of which is variable, and includes: a bonding agent supplier that supplies the bonding agent to a first or second bonding surfaces; a thickening unit that increases the viscosity of the bonding agent; and a loading unit that applies a load to and deforms the second object against the bonding agent that closely adheres to the first bonding surface and becomes harder than the second object. In a method for manufacturing a bonded object, the first and second bonding surfaces are brought close to each other to hold the bonding agent therebetween, the bonding agent closely adheres to a required portion of the first bonding surface, and the second object is loaded and deformed against the bonding agent that closely adheres to the first bonding surface and is harder than the second object.

Method of anchoring a first object in a second object

A method for joining two objects by anchoring an insert portion provided on a first object in an opening provided on a second object. The anchorage is achieved by liquefaction of a thermoplastic material and interpenetration of the liquefied material and a penetrable material, the two materials being arranged on opposite surfaces of the insert portion and the wall of the opening. During the step of inserting the insert portion in the opening and/or during anchorage a clamping force is applied to opposing surfaces of the second object to prevent the second object from cracking or bulging.

Bonded nutplate rapid cure system

Systems for positioning and bonding a nutplate to a substrate having an aperture include a nutplate engagement fixture and a temperature sensor retention fixture. The nutplate engagement fixture includes a rigid tube and an elastomeric tube engaged with the rigid tube, the elastomeric tube having an elongated tube sized to provide a friction fit with the aperture and retain the elastomeric tube within the aperture. The rigid tube is operable to engage the nutplate at one end and the elastomeric tube is configured to anchor the nutplate engagement fixture at the aperture and secure the nutplate in contact with the substrate. The temperature sensor retention fixture includes a fixture body sized and configured to engage with the nutplate and at least one passageway within the fixture body sized and configured to allow a temperature sensor to be inserted or embedded therein with an end proximal a surface of the nutplate.

TECHNIQUE FOR HANDLING DICED WAFERS OF INTEGRATED CIRCUITS

A technique for handling an integrated circuit/tape assembly having a plurality of integrated circuits supported by underlying dicing tape involves placing the integrated circuit/tape assembly on a bottom file frame carrier (FFC) frame having structure (e.g., an inner rim or flexible pegs), placing a top FFC frame having a central opening over the integrated circuit/tape assembly, and mating the top and bottom FFC frames such that the dicing tape is pulled over the structure thereby laterally stretching the dicing tape, which breaks wafer saw bows holding the integrated circuits together. The lateral stretching of the dicing tape increases distance between adjacent integrated circuits in at least two mutually orthogonal lateral directions, thereby inhibiting the adjacent integrated circuits from colliding during shipment or storage for subsequent processing. The resulting assembly can be thinner than conventional FFC configurations, which results in more efficient shipment and storage.

Embodiments are directed to nozzles for three-dimensional printing and related nozzle assemblies and methods. An example nozzle includes at least one top surface, at least one bottom surface, and at least one nozzle lateral surface extending from or near the top surface to or near the bottom surface. The nozzle also includes at least one conduit surface defining a conduit. At least a portion of the conduit surface comprise at least one of polycrystalline diamond (“PCD”), polycrystalline cubic boron nitride (“PcBN”), or another suitable superhard material. The nozzle may be attached to a base to form a nozzle assembly. The nozzle may be attached to the base by at least one of deforming the base relative to the nozzle, threadedly attaching (either directly or indirectly) the nozzle to the base, or press-fitting a hollow hollowed-sleeve into a passageway defined by the base.

Display module and bonding method thereof

A display module is disclosed. The display module includes a planar display area and a curved display area bending and extending from an edge of the planar display area. The display module includes a curved cover plate, a flexible display panel attached to the curved cover plate, and a backplate. The backplate includes a thinning part, and a thickness of the thinning part is gradually reduced from an edge area of the planar display area to the curved display area. The present disclosure can reduce forces undergone by the flexible display panel in the curved display area and prevent curved sides of the flexible display panel from having a cracking risk.

Method of joining two objects

A method for joining two objects by anchoring an insert portion provided on one of the objects in an opening provided on the other one of the objects. The anchorage is achieved by liquefaction of a thermoplastic material and interpenetration of the liquefied material and a penetrable material, the two materials being arranged on opposite surfaces of the insert portion and the wall of the opening. Before such liquefaction and interpenetration, an interference fit is established in which such opposite surfaces are pressed against each other, and, for the anchoring, mechanical vibration energy and possibly a shearing force are applied, wherein the shearing force puts a shear stress on the interference fit.
