METHOD OF MANUFACTURING A TUBE SNAP FASTENING ARRANGEMENT
20220062970 · 2022-03-03 ·

The invention relates to a method (100) for manufacturing a fastening arrangement for fastening a collar to a tube. The method comprises the steps of providing a hollow tube (10), arranging said tube for receiving at least one forming punch (30) in the axial direction of the tube, punching the tube with a forming punch at an inner radial part of an edge portion (16) of the tube in the axial direction of the tube, locally reducing the tube thickness, so that the material being punched is plastically relocated in the axial direction, locally forming a snap portion (11) in the form of a flange (12) in the radial direction towards the hollow inside of the tube, providing a collar (20) configured to be arranged on the tube, wherein the collar comprises at least one receiving portion (21) arranged to receive said snap portion, and arranging the collar to the tube such that the snap portion engages with said receiving portion.

Joinable thermoform product packaging

A package for a product that contains a first and a second thermoform container body that are configured to support the product. The first container body includes a first outer wall extending along a side of the first container body and defining a first mating surface and a first interlocking structure proximate the first outer wall and including an outer surface. The second container body includes a second outer wall extending along a side of the second container body, an inner wall disposed inwardly of the second outer wall and defining a second mating surface, and a second interlocking structure intermediate the second outer wall and the inner wall. The first and second interlocking structures are configured to interlock with one another when the outer surface of the first interlocking structure is placed in facing engagement with the inner surface of the second interlocking structure.

METHOD FOR PRODUCING A COMPOSITE PROFILE

A method for producing composite profiles comprises providing a first profile part extending in a longitudinal direction, made from a first plastics material, with a profile region produced from a second plastics material thermally plasticizable at a first temperature, providing a second profile part extending in a longitudinal direction, made from a material not thermally plasticizable at the first temperature, and with a receiving structure formed along the longitudinal direction of the second profile part, with which the profile region of the first profile part is connectible, bringing the profile region of the first profile part into contact with the receiving structure of the second profile part, plasticizing the second plastics material of the profile region by heating to the first temperature and deforming the plasticized profile region while forming a positive engagement between the profile region and the receiving structure while maintaining the geometry of the receiving structure.

INJECTION MOLDED SCREENING APPARATUSES AND METHODS

A disclosed screening apparatus includes a subgrid, and a screen element attached to the subgrid via laser welding at a plurality of attachment positions such that, under vibrational excitation, the screen element has a pre-determined profile of vibrational motion relative to the subgrid. The screen element may be attached at a maximal number of attachment locations to the subgrid to minimize relative motion of the screen element and the subgrid under vibrational excitation, or the screen element may be attached a sub-set of the maximal number of attachment locations to allow vibrational motion of the screen element relative to the subgrid. A disclosed method may include attaching a plurality of screen elements to a respective plurality of subgrids, attaching the plurality of subgrids to one another to form a screening pre-assembly, and cutting edges of the screening pre-assembly to form the screen assembly having a perimeter with a pre-determined shape.

Injection molded composite blank and guide

This specification discloses an article of manufacture. The article of manufacture has at least one structural blank and at least one guide. The structural blank has a plurality of oriented fiber plies in a thermoplastic matrix. The guide has a plurality of random dispersed fibers in a thermoplastic matrix. The guide is affixed to the structural blank by injection molding and over molding the guide onto the structural blank. The article of manufacture can take a number of forms for use in industries such as aircraft, automobiles, motorcycles, bicycles, trains or watercraft.
