Welded thermoplastic hybrid cooler and method of manufacturing same
An insulated cooler comprises a body and a lid at least partially connected to the body, where each is comprised of soft thermoplastic material. The body includes a base comprising rigid plastic connected to the body via a first thermoplastic sealing strip heat welded to the bottom edges of the body, and sewn to top edges of the base. The lid includes a top comprising rigid plastic connected to top edges of the lid via a second thermoplastic sealing strip heat welded to the top edges of the lid, and sewn to bottom edges of the top. The cooler also includes a waterproof liner disposed along inner surfaces of the body and the lid, insulation disposed between the liner and the body and lid, and a zipper closing the lid to the body. A method of manufacturing an insulated cooler is also disclosed. This is helpful for transporting cooler conveniently and increasing the capabilities of the cooler.
Radius filler and method of manufacturing same
A method of manufacturing a radius filler may include providing a plurality of fibers, braiding the plurality of fibers into a braided preform, shaping the braided preform into a braided radius filler, and cutting the braided radius filler to a desired length.

STITCHING ROLLER FOR STITCHING A STRIP
A stitching roller is provided for stitching a strip, in particular a continuous strip for strip-winding. The stitching roller includes a roller body that is rotatable about a roller axis. The roller body comprises a circumferential member and a support member provided with a connection end that is connected to the circumferential member and a base end for coupling of the stitching roller to a rotation shaft. The support member is made of a flexible material that allows for the circumferential member to tilt relative to the base end from a neutral orientation into a tilted orientation. The support member includes one or more reinforcements that reinforce the axial stiffness of the support member from the outer radius towards the inner radius.
SONIC LABEL WELDING UNIT AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING A MULTI-LAYERED CARE LABEL
A sonic label welding device for welding multiple labels together using ultrasonic welding is disclosed. The sonic label welding device comprises a digital controls main menu screen which includes touch screen buttons that are utilized to go to specific screens to program the device to perform in a certain manner. For example, a user can press the cut to length button if wanting to cut a label to a specific length, or the label weld count button to specify the number of labels being sonically welded. Further, the sonic label welding device comprises a head for allowing multiple labels to be assembled under pressure and an anvil for directing the high frequency vibrations. A method of manufacturing a multi-layer care label is also disclosed.
APPARATUS FOR MANUFACTURING DOUBLE-LAYER FABRIC FOR DOWN PRODUCTS HAVING PATTERN JOINING LINE FORMED BY HIGH-FREQUENCY BONDING
A device for preparation of double fabric for down products comprises a printing means that can print an adhesive in a predetermined printing pattern on fabric; a drying means that can dry or fix the adhesive; a laminating means that can stack and laminate the fabrics on which an adhesive is printed; and a bonding means that can bond the fabrics with a cured adhesive by pressing with a predetermined pressing means and high-frequency heating to cure the adhesive; wherein said printing pattern and the pressing pattern are the same in pattern (shape), can be overlapped on the basis of the center line and have a difference in size (width) of 20% or less. Consequently, double fabric for down products thus manufactured has an excellent adhesiveness and durability and an aesthetically excellent pattern line with good clearness and finishing quality.
DOWN PRODUCT HAVING JOINING PATTERN LINE PRODUCED BY HIGH-FREQUENCY BONDING TECHNIQUE AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SAME
A process of manufacturing a down product comprises at least one bonding pattern line for the compartment separation without forming sewing holes by printing and drying a heat-reactive adhesive on the inner surface of an inner fabric, an optional mesh material and/or an outer fabric in a predetermined pattern, laminating said inner fabric, optional mesh material and/or outer fabric, and then high-frequency heating them under pressing with a pressing pattern the same as the printing pattern to bond the inner fabric, optional mesh material and outer fabric. Accordingly, it is possible to manufacture a down product having a bonding pattern line composed of a bonding line with excellent adhesiveness and durability and an aesthetically excellent pattern line with good clearness and finishing quality as well as to achieve a mass production of down products by mechanization and automation.
Fabrication of Composite Laminates Using Temporarily Stitched Preforms
A composite structure is fabricated using a preform comprising a stack of unidirectional prepreg plies that are stitched together. During curing of the prepreg, the stitches melt and dissolve.
Vented Garment
The technology described herein relates to breathable, vented, and insulating garments. More particularly, the technology described herein relates to articles with a plurality of interconnected chambers that are configured to retain a thermally insulating fill material such as down or synthetic fibers. The plurality of interconnected chambers are formed between at least two layers of material and between a plurality of seams. The plurality of seams are configured to join the at least two layers of material together. In one aspect, each seam of the plurality of seams is angularly oriented with respect to an adjacent or neighboring seam of the plurality of seams. One or more openings or perforations may be formed on one or more seams of the plurality of seams forming the plurality of interconnected chambers. The one or more openings may achieve evaporation of moisture and/or air transfer from an interior environment of the garment to an exterior environment.
Pre-sewn distressed applique
An exemplary applique may include an adhesive layer having a first contour, and at least one fabric layer defining a second contour. The first contour may be inset from the second contour, with the second contour defining an outer perimeter of the applique. Exemplary appliques may further include a stitching securing the fabric layer to the adhesive layer along a third contour, where the third contour is inset from the first contour.
