Method of inflatable game ball panel construction
09623289 · 2017-04-18 · ·

An inflatable game ball and a method of constructing an inflatable game ball is described. Panel segments are formed from an outer panel portion and an inner panel portion having different sizes, with the inner panel portion being smaller than the outer panel portion. The inner panel portion and the outer panel portion are joined so that peripheral edges of the inner panel portion and the outer panel portion are aligned. Multiple panel segments are attached together to form a cover. Due to the differences in sizes between the inner panel portion and the outer panel portion, when an inflatable bladder within an interior of the cover is inflated to a fully inflated condition, variations in the dimensions of the ball caused by stretching of the cover may be reduced or minimized. In one embodiment, an alignment guide can assist with aligning the peripheral edges of the panel portions.

Clamping System For Positioning A First Component And A Second Component Relative To Each Other As Well As A Method For Producing A Dimensional Compensation Between Two Components
20170057156 · 2017-03-02 · ·

A clamping system for positioning a first component and a second component relatively to each other includes a clamping device, a separating foil and an electrical contacting device. The clamping device is adapted to fix the first and second components in a desired joining position under creation of a gap therebetween with a characteristic measure of tolerance relative to each other in a first position of the clamping device and to release this fixation in a second position of the clamping device. The separating foil includes an anti-stick layer and a heating layer connected with electrically conducting contact zones for heating a compensation compound arranged in the gap. The electrical contacting device is mechanically couplable with the clamping device or a supporting device holding the clamping device and is adapted for creating an electrical contact with the contact zones at least in the first position of the clamping device.

HEADLAMP TRANSPORT DEVICE
20170051890 · 2017-02-23 · ·

A motor vehicle front end having one, preferably two, headlamps, wherein the headlamp is intended and constructed so as to be fastened in an assembly position onto the motor vehicle, in particular onto the motor vehicle front end, and wherein the headlamp is fastened by means of a transport holder on the front end in a transport position, the transport position being different from the assembly position. The transport position is offset frontward and/or downward relative to the assembly position, in order to provide a front end, motor vehicle, and method that make it possible to create motor vehicle designs with which pre-assembly of the headlamps in the assembly position thereof is not possible, without thereby incurring additional logistical complexity on the assembly lines for the vehicle, or wherein this additional complexity is at least largely avoided.

Apparatus and methods for repairing discrepant welds using a specially-designed mechanical intermediary

A method, for repairing a discrepant weld in a workpiece arrangement including at least two workpieces, comprising positioning a mechanical intermediary adjacent the discrepant weld and inserting the intermediary through the discrepant weld and into at least a distal workpiece of the two workpieces, wherein upon insertion, a proximate surface of the intermediary is exposed at a proximate side of the workpiece arrangement. The method further includes delivering weld energy to the intermediary. The intermediary is configured, and the weld energy provided, so that energy passes through the intermediary in a pre-determined manner. Energy passing through the intermediary in the pre-determined manner generates heat in material of the workpieces causing the material to melt at an arrangement interface. The method further comprises allowing or causing the material melted to cool, wherein the melted material, when cooled, forms and/or strengthens a robust joint connecting the workpieces.

Fiber reinforced resin joined body, intermediate body, and fastening rod

There is provided a joined body in which two or more members Yi including a fitting hole are fastened, in which a fastening rod including reinforcing fibers and a thermoplastic resin is positioned in the fitting hole, the fastening rod is caulked by heat, and the members Yi are caulking-fastened.

Method for manufacturing a composite work piece for a drug delivery device and composite work piece for a drug delivery device

Method for manufacturing a composite work piece for a drug delivery device, comprising the steps: Providing a first work piece part 1 and a second work piece part 2, arranging both work piece parts 1, 2 with respect to each other in such a way that both work piece parts 1, 2 are in mechanical contact with one another in a contact area 3, irradiating a surface of the first work piece part 1 with electromagnetic radiation, thereby softening the first work piece part 1 and/or the second work piece part 2 in a region adjacent to the contact area 3, and joining the first work piece part 1 to the second work piece part 2 in the contact area 3 for the composite work piece. Furthermore, a composite work piece for a drug delivery device is provided.
