Process for Producing a Laminate
The present invention relates to a process for laminating a first substrate, which comprises a thermoplastic polymer material surface, and wherein the first substrate preferably is a thermoplastic polymer film, to a second substrate, wherein the second substrate preferably is a non-woven or woven fabric, wherein the thermoplastic polymer material surface is activated by irradiation with a laser beam prior to laminating the two substrates to each other as well as a device for carrying out such a process.
Method of making an article using fluorinated fluid
The method includes applying a fluorinated fluid to at least one of a surface of an object or an adhesive surface on an adhesive article, positioning the adhesive surface to face the surface of the object such that the fluorinated fluid is between the surface of the object and the adhesive surface; and removing at least some of the fluorinated fluid to permit bonding between the surface of the object and the adhesive surface. The fluorinated fluid generally facilitates the repositioning of the adhesive surface on the surface of the object before removing the fluorinated fluid. A kit comprising an adhesive article and a container including a fluorinated fluid is also described.
METHOD, DEVICE AND SYNTHESIS ELEMENT FOR CONNECTING AN EDGE MATERIAL TO A WORKPIECE
Disclosed is a method for connecting a connecting face of an edge material to a connecting face of a workpiece by a synthesis element, including the steps: of making available the workpiece, feeding the synthesis element, which is made available by at least one function film composed of an adhesive, activating the adhesive function film, applying the synthesis element to one of the connecting faces, connecting the synthesis element to the other of the connecting faces, wherein the workpiece and the edge material are connected by the synthesis element located between them. Furthermore, there is disclosed a synthesis element and a device for connecting a connecting face of an edge material to a connecting face of a workpiece.
Articles having a multilayer structure including undercut features interlocked with an adhesive, and methods of making same
Articles are provided, having a multilayer structure including (a) a first layer formed from polyolefin and including undercut features formed on and extending from an integral backing; (b) a second layer including an adhesive having a Shore D hardness of greater than 59 when cured; and (c) a third layer including a substrate. The second layer is interlocked with the undercut features, the third layer is adhered to the adhesive, and the second layer is disposed between the first layer and the third layer. A method is also provided including (a) depositing a polyolefin resin into a mold cavity to form a first layer including undercut features; (b) demolding the first layer from the mold cavity at a rate of at least 150 millimeters per minute; (c) applying a curable adhesive to the undercut features to form a second layer attached to the first layer; and (d) attaching a third layer including a substrate to the second layer.
COATED COMPOSITE COMPONENT
A coated composite component includes, in this order, a composite component, a fluorine-containing film and/or a fluorine-containing woven fabric, knitted fabric or crocheted fabric, and a tear-off fabric. A method for producing a coated composite component including, in this order, a composite component, a fluorine-containing film and/or a fluorine-containing woven fabric, knitted fabric or crocheted fabric, and a tear-off fabric.
