In this context, this invention proposes a system for inspecting a repair or joint consisting of a composite material applied to a structure, comprising at least one exciter or element that is excitable (2, 10) to a thermal and/or vibrational stimulus, the at least one exciter or excitable element (2, 10) being integrated into the repair (1) or joint.
Method of golf ball manufacture employing ultrasonic welding, and resulting golf ball and golf ball components and/or layers
A method of producing a golf ball applies ultrasonic welding on two half shells to form at least one intermediate layer, at least one cover layer, or at least one intermediate layer and at least one cover layer. The ultrasonic welding may include pressing the two half shells together, delivering a high power electrical signal to a welding stack, and converting the high power electrical signal at the welding stack to ultrasonic energy. The converting may include converting the high power electrical signal into a mechanical vibration, modifying an amplitude of the mechanical vibration to generate a modified mechanical vibration, and applying the modified mechanical vibration to an interface of the two half shells to weld them together ultrasonically. Aspects also relate to golf balls, or one or more layers thereof, made using ultrasonic welding.
Screen protector film paste tool
The present invention provides a screen protector film paste tool for pasting a film to electronic devices. The screen protector film paste tool includes a frame body, an accommodating space defined by the frame body, and a deformable pressing member provided at least one side of the frame body, the inner side of the deformable pressing member is located in the accommodating space. When the deformable pressing member is pressed down, the inner side of the deformable pressing member moves into the accommodating space and comes into contact with one side of the film to be pasted, and another side of the film to be pasted is in contact with another side of the frame body or the deformable pressing member, so as to fix the film in the accommodating space.
Apparatus and method for installing a screen protector on an electronic device
An apparatus and/or method for installing a screen protector on an electronic device, for example using a wet application process. The apparatus includes a support member for supporting the electronic device and a clamp mechanism for clamping the electronic device in a fixed position on the support member. A tack assembly is used to tack the screen protector to the electronic device. The tack assembly includes an actuator that, once actuated, causes a tack member to apply a force onto the screen protector which tacks the screen protector to the electronic device and prevents misalignment. Finally, a roller assembly is actuated so that a roller member moves across the screen protector to bond the screen protector to the electronic device and remove any excess liquid that may exist between the screen protector and the electronic device.
Method and device for producing a pack for preparing food or beverage products
The invention relates to a method for wrapping and sealing a flexible sheet over an insert (10) to produce a pack (100) for preparing a food or beverage product from one or more ingredients; the pack comprising an insert (10) and a container (20) made from the flexible sheet folded to store the one or more ingredients, the flexible sheet being arranged overwrapping and matching the shape of the insert (10) in its entirety except for the part of the insert (10) in direct communication with the inner volume of the container (20); the method comprising the following steps: —holding the insert (10) so that it is substantially perpendicular with respect to the flexible sheet; —moving the insert (10) towards the flexible sheet, until it touches a bottom sealing tool (210); —moving at least two side sealing tools (220, 230) towards the insert (10); —applying by the bottom sealing tool (210) and by the side sealing tools (220, 230) a certain required pressure and temperature to achieve a tight sealing of the flexible sheet over the entirety of the insert (10) except for the part of it in direct communication with the inner volume of the container (20). The invention further relates to a device (200) for wrapping and sealing a flexible sheet over an insert (10) to produce a pack (100) for preparing a food or beverage product from one or more ingredients.
Method for repairing delamination and moisture by heat, pressure and adhesive
A method for repairing aircraft window laminates in which two plies have become separated to create a void, and wherein moisture may have entered through an edge of the window laminate and into the void. The method includes the steps of: placing the window laminate in a vacuum bag and inserting the vacuum bag containing the window laminate into an oven or autoclave for a minimum of ten minutes at a minimum temperature of 120 degrees Fahrenheit to remove the moisture between the plies; removing the vacuum bag and window laminate from the oven, and removing the window from the vacuum bag; forcing a needle on a syringe through the edge of the window laminate in the area of the void; and injecting an adhesive in the syringe into the void to fill the void with the adhesive.
Pressure unit
The invention relates to a pressure unit (1) for sealing a package (2) for a food product, comprising a conveyor (3) for transporting the package (2) through the pressure unit (1) in a travelling direction (d), a first rotatable pressure roller (11) and a first rotatable anvil roller (21). The first pressure roller (11) is arranged opposite to the first anvil roller (21) to form a first nip (4) for receiving and rotationally engage with a portion (5) of the package, and arranged downstream of the first pressure roller (11) and the first anvil roller (21) in the travelling direction, a second rotatable pressure roller (12) and a second rotatable anvil roller (22). The second pressure roller (12) is arranged opposite to the second anvil roller (22) to form a second nip (6) for receiving and rotationally engage with the portion (5) of the package. Skin-to-core bond line mapping system and method
A skin-to-core bond line mapping system and method is disclosed. Layered composite components formed by “sandwiching” multiple materials together require a continuous bond between those materials with voids below particular thresholds that can vary by application. The skin-to-core bond line mapping system can include a laminate, an adhesive, a separator film, a core, a breather, a layup tool, bagging material, sealant, and a vacuum port. By employing systems and processes that layer separator film over adhesive and applying a core proximate the adhesive, a bagging material can be disposed over the materials to facilitate vacuum compaction, thereby impressing core impressions on the adhesive to map the areas between the skin and core that have good contact. An iterative process is disclosed, in which additional adhesive can be used to build the bond line until contact is made (or engineering tolerance is reached).
