ROUND TIP VAGINAL INSERT SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR ABSORBING SEXUAL SECRETIONS
A Round Tip Vaginal Insert System and Method For Absorbing Sexual Secretions is described herein. The present disclosure may be implemented as a system, comprising: an outer receptacle, wherein the outer receptacle further comprises a bulb shaped head and a cylindrical shaft; an absorbent element, wherein the absorbent element comprises a cord; and a loading cylinder. The present disclosure may be implement as a method, comprising inserting an absorbent element into a outer receptacle via a loading cylinder; inserting the outer receptacle into a body cavity; compressing the loading cylinder to insert the absorbent element into the body cavity; and removing the loading cylinder and outer receptacle from the body cavity. The present disclosure may be an apparatus comprising an outer receptacle, a loading cylinder, and a head of the loading cylinder fitting into the outer receptacle in an interlocking connection that allows the loading cylinder to slide vertically up and down the outer receptacle.
Systems and methods for deploying devices to genitourinary sites
A method delivers an implantable device through the urethra and into the bladder. A deployment instrument is inserted into the urethra, the implantable device is inserted into the deployment instrument, and a stream of fluid is injected into the deployment instrument. The stream of fluid drives the implantable device from the deployment instrument into the bladder. The deployment instrument is removed from the urethra, leaving the implantable device wholly implanted in the bladder.
VAGINAL APPLICATOR FOR PHARMACEUTICAL PREPARATIONS
One aspect of the invention provides a vaginal applicator for any solid dosage form of a pharmaceutical preparation. The applicator can be used to transvaginally deliver medicine to the apex of the vaginal canal. Medical conditions that may benefit from transvaginal delivery of medicine include but are not limited to those relating to vaginal diseases as well as conditions where oral ingestion of medications is not feasible or advisable due to gastrointestinal or other issues. The applicator can include three primary components: an applicator barrel, a tip to hold the medication to be delivered, and a plunger. In use, a medical preparation can be placed into the tip. The tip, which conforms to the shape of the medical intervention, firmly grips or envelops the medication depending upon the size. The applicator is then inserted into the vagina and, once in place, the plunger is depressed.
Hydrocortisone acetate suppository formulation for treatment of disease
The present invention relates, in various embodiments, to formulations comprising hydrocortisone and silicon dioxide. In additional embodiments, the invention relates to suppositories comprising hydrocortisone and silicon dioxide. The formulations of the present invention are useful for administration to patients who have gastrointestinal diseases and disorders such as, for example, inflammatory bowel disease.

Composition for the Treatment of Fistula
A composition for use in the treatment of fistula, the composition comprising activated carbon.
DEVICES, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS FOR DELIVERING THERAPEUTIC SUBSTANCES IN A MAMMALIAN BODY
Systems and methods for the delivery of devices such as films to target locations in mammalian bodies are provided herein. The films may be configured to release a therapeutic agent over time, among other features. Delivery devices and methods described herein may be particularly well-suited for the delivery of therapeutic films to a target location in the sinuses.
Method for delivering pramlintide into a lumen of the intestinal tract using a swallowable drug delivery device
Embodiments of the invention provide swallowable devices, preparations and methods for delivering drugs and other therapeutic agents within the GI tract. Many embodiments provide a swallowable device for delivering the agents. Particular embodiments provide a swallowable device such as a capsule for delivering drugs into the intestinal wall or other GI lumen. Embodiments also provide various drug preparations that are configured to be contained within the capsule, advanced from the capsule into the intestinal wall and degrade to release the drug into the bloodstream to produce a therapeutic effect. The preparation can be operably coupled to delivery means having a first configuration where the preparation is contained in the capsule and a second configuration where the preparation is advanced out of the capsule into the intestinal wall. Embodiments of the invention are particularly useful for the delivery of drugs which are poorly absorbed, tolerated and/or degraded within the GI tract.
MEDICAMENT APPLICATOR
Apparatus and methods for inserting a medicament into a body cavity are described. The apparatus comprises an elongate tube with a plunger rod therein. The plunger rod has at least one projection which cooperatively interacts or engages with at least one discontinuity on the inside of the elongate tube so that proximal movement of the plunger rod with respect to the elongate tube expels the medicament into the body cavity.
