A fluid line provides fluid communication between the console and the handpiece assembly. A manifold system is coupled to the console and controlled by the user input device. The manifold system is configured to hold releasably a plurality of fluid sources and deliver fluid from at least one of the plurality of fluid sources to the handpiece assembly.
Using monte carlo and iterative techniques to determine tissue oxygen saturation
A method for determining oxygen saturation includes emitting light from sources into tissue; detecting the light by detectors subsequent to reflection; and generating reflectance data based on detecting the light. The method includes determining a first subset of simulated reflectance curves from a set of simulated reflectance curves stored in a tissue oximetry device for a coarse grid; and fitting the reflectance data points to the first subset of simulated reflectance curves to determine a closest fitting one of the simulated reflectance curves. The method includes determining a second subset of simulated reflectance curves for a fine grid based on the closest fitting one of the simulated reflectance curves; determining a peak of absorption and reflection coefficients from the fine grid; and determining an absorption and a reflectance coefficient for the reflectance data points by performing a weighted average of the absorption coefficients and reflection coefficients from the peak.
DERMAL INFUSION HANDPIECE WITH IMPROVED DELIVERY HEAD
A dermal treatment handpiece has a body with proximal and distal ends, a jet spray delivery head formed at the distal end of the body and connected to sources of a liquid suspension of a therapeutic agent and of a pressurized gas for a selectable combined supply thereof to the jet spray delivery head. The jet spray delivery head has a base formed at the distal end of the body, a localized environmental jet spray isolation chamber extending from the base to a distal exit port, a nozzle extending into the isolation chamber from the base, connected to a combined inflow of the liquid suspension and the pressurized gas, and one or more tubes mounted within the nozzle for receiving the combined inflow, each tube having a delivery tip extending into the isolation chamber for emitting a high pressure, high velocity jet spray along a delivery axis in response to receiving the combined inflow.
METHOD AND KIT FOR PROVIDING A CUSTOMIZABLE NAIL-BITING AND FINGER SUCKING PREVENTION TREATMENT
The invention relates to a method of customizing a nail-biting and/or finger sucking treatment solution, and a kit for providing a nail-biting and finger sucking treatment that is customizable for a wide range of afflicted users seeking to break a persistent nail-biting and/or finger sucking habit. In exemplary embodiments, the composition kit includes two separate containers, a first container having a nail growth-promoting, waterproofing composition that may be applied directly on a user's nails; and a second container may include an additive for customizing a bitterness factor of the first composition. Typically, the first container includes an applicator such as a brush. To facilitate adding the additive in a manner that is easily customizable, the second container may include a dropper for adding small doses of the additive composition to the first composition. The customizable kit allows the user to safely adjust the bitterness so that the treatment remains effective.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR TREATING LIPS AND SKIN
Methods and devices for treating a targeted tissue including a skin or a lip and more particularly methods and devices that enhances absorption of treatment media into tissue for cosmetic and therapeutic purposes.
Gel application system
A gel application system includes an applicator body having a first surface, a second surface and at least one opening extending through the applicator body from the first surface to the second surface. At least one gel packet is attached to the first surface of the applicator and defines an interior volume containing gel. The interior volume of the gel packet is in fluid flow communication with the at least one opening. The at least one gel packet is made of a material that has sufficient flexibility to allow a user to squeeze and compress the interior volume and expel gel through the at least one opening, by applying a compression force on the gel packet.
Therapeutic device for human hair and skincare
A therapeutic device, for human hair and skincare, comprises a gripping unit a functional unit including a first functional module and a second functional module, the first functional module including a first plate and a second functional module including a second plate, wherein a second surface of the second plate is oriented in an opposite direction to a first surface of the first plate, a plurality of teeth oriented in the direction of the orientation of the first surface, the plurality of teeth including a plurality of respective primary Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs), a plurality of secondary LEDs provided on the second plate and oriented in the direction of the orientation of the second surface and a sensor unit configured to determine hair distribution data on a body portion of a user.
Dispenser Actuator Assembly
A dispenser actuator assembly (100) for actuating a dispenser (10) is disclosed. The dispenser (10) is in the form of a glass ampoule assembly (10) having a rupturable glass ampoule (12) containing a flowable material (M). The glass ampoule (12) is contained within an outer container (14) wherein the outer container (14) has a first open end (22) and a second closed end (24). The glass ampoule assembly (10) has an applicator (16) positioned in the first open end (22). The dispenser actuator assembly (100) has a base member (102) configured to mount on the outer container (14). The dispenser actuator assembly (100) also has an actuator assembly (104) operably connected to the base member (102) wherein the actuator assembly (104) has a first actuator arm (132a) and a second actuator arm (132b) each pivotally connected to the base member (102). The first actuator arm (132a) and the second actuator arm (132b) extend from the base member (102) in generally opposed relation defining a first position, or neutral position.
