Method for Operating a Benefit Agent Delivery System Comprising Microcells Having an Electrically Eroding Sealing Layer
A benefit agent delivery system whereby benefit agents can be delivered on demand and/or a variety of different benefit agents at different concentrations can be delivered from the same system. The benefit agent delivery system includes a microcell layer comprising a plurality of microcells, wherein the microcells are filled with a carrier and a benefit agent. The microcells include an opening, wherein the opening is spanned by a sealing layer comprising a polymer and metallic material. Application of an electric field across the microcell layer and the sealing layer results in the migration of the metallic material from the sealing layer and the creation of a porous sealing layer, allowing the benefit agent to be released from the benefit agent delivery system.

Methods and related systems for modulating neural activity by cyclically modulating neural activity in peripheral neural structures are disclosed. Neural activity may be modulated cyclically by stimuli delivered via various types of stimulus sources. In an aspect, activity of a sensory nerve is modulated. Neural modulation may be used, for example, to modulate an undesired sensation, such as pain, or an immune or inflammatory response or process. Delivery of stimuli for modulating neural activity may be controlled in part in response to an input from a user input device.

The present invention discloses a multifunctional temperature self-regulating multilayer film, from outside to inside comprising at least: a carrier layer (1) loaded with functional material, and a thermal-insulation layer (2) directly contacted with the skin (4); wherein the carrier layer (1) loaded with functional material has a sealed cavity sealed with a flexible water-impermeable material, the sealed cavity is at least loaded with a refrigerating or heat-generating chemical material (11); wherein thermal-insulation layer (2) is made of a material having waterproof and thermal-insulation properties. The present multilayer film can be manufactured into a face mask or eye mask for use on facial skin.

Dry eye treatment apparatus and methods are described herein which generally includes a patch or strip affixed to the skin of the upper and/or lower eyelids to deliver heat or other forms of energy, pressure, drugs, moisture, etc. (alone or in combination) to the one or more meibomian glands contained within the underlying skin. The treatment strip or strips include one or more strips configured to adhere to an underlying region of skin in proximity to one or both eyes of a subject such that the one or more strips allow for the subject to blink naturally without restriction from the one or more strips. Moreover, the one or more strips may be configured to emit energy to the underlying region of skin and where the one or more strips are shaped to follow a location of one or more meibomiam glands contained within the underlying region of skin.
Wearable band for transdermal drug delivery
A wearable band transdermal medication device including one or more chamber for dispensing liquid transdermal medication, a device housing, and a transdermal applicator for the transdermal medication. The chamber includes a pouch containing a liquid transdermal medication pressurized at a first pressure, and an outlet for selective dispensing of the medication to a delivery section of the transdermal medication delivery device. The outlet may be a self-sealing membrane that dispenses liquid medication when subjected to a negative pressure differential, or may be a magnetic valve assembly. The device is configured as wristband, armband or other band worn by the patient with the transdermal applicator at an outer face of the device housing in contact with the patient's skin. A plurality of chambers housed by the device operate under electrical control to dispense medication, subject to access authorization, and subject to regimens for transdermal administration of the liquid medication.
FACIAL MASK TRAY
A facial mask tray includes a plate-like plastic base. An accommodating socket is formed on the base for holding essences. The accommodating socket includes compartments positionally corresponding to sites of a user's face that need focused skincare treatments. When filled with different essences according to the user's skincare needs, the compartments limit the essences in local sites on the base, so as to prevent the essences from diffusing inside the base and permeating to the whole base. When a substrate of a facial mask is placed into the accommodating socket, the substrate absorbs the essences in the compartments at its different parts locally, so that when put on a user's face, the facial mask provides focused skincare treatments specific to different facial skin parts, thereby improving the overall skincare effects.
