METHOD OF UTILIZING THIN FILM PRESSURE SENSITIVE STRIPS TO MEASURE PRESSURE APPLIED TO A SEAL
A method of assembling a door on a vehicle begins by identifying critical fit areas between the door seal and the door frame. Pressure indicator tape is adhered to the seal in critical fit areas and the door is closed against the seal to produce a marking on the pressure indicator tape. Intensity of the marking is visually compared to a reference pressure intensity scale to establish an observed pressure intensity level. The observed pressure intensity level may be recorded, correlated to a specific critical fit area and analyzed to make operational and design improvements to the door, door frame or seal.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR SEALING A CONTAINER
Systems, apparatuses, and methods to seal a container are provided. An apparatus for securing a film to a container includes a body portion to house film and a sealing portion. The sealing portion includes a sealing volume for receiving a portion of the container, at least one heating element positioned within the sealing volume, and a sensor configured to sense when the portion of the container is at least partially within the sealing volume. A controller is configured to receive a sensor input from a sensor indicating that the portion of the container is at least partially within the sealing volume, and activate the at least one heating element based on the sensor input.
MEDICAL PACKAGE
An assembly includes a medical package defining a housing configured to receive a medical supply. The medical package comprises a first sealable region and a second sealable region. The first and second sealable regions are configured to be sealed together to secure the medical supply within the housing. The medical package includes a thermal pattern configured to exhibit a first visible indicium indicative of an unsealed region between the first and second sealable regions. The thermal pattern is configured to irreversibly transform to a second visible indicium indicative of a sealed region between the first and second sealable regions in response to exposure to a temperature greater than or equal to a first temperature threshold, and to a third visible indicium indicative of a sterilized stage of the medical package in response to exposure to a temperature greater than or equal to a second temperature threshold.
Laser Induced Sealing of Concentrically Layered Materials
A connection, and methods of making an using such a connection, the connection comprising a first layer; a second layer concentrically disposed about the first layer; and a laser-induced seal between portions of the first and second layers; wherein the laser-induced seal provides a fluid-tight engagement between the first and second layers. As to particular embodiments of the connection, the first layer can be incorporated into a first conduit and the second layer can be incorporated into a second conduit.
Process for manufacturing of free form inflatable bodies
Process for manufacturing inflatable bodies capable of assuming a desired complexly curved shape comprising two, around their circumference hermetically bonded opposing membranes (3, 4), which are internally linked by a plurality of link tapes (1), which tapes are bonded at an exact length and inclination angle at an exactly determined position. By numerical instructions, a continuous tape is fed and bonded alternately on the insides of the membranes by means of a roboticized tape positioning head, creating bond lines (2) between the tape and a membrane. Any fold occurring through local inclination, or planar angle variation of the tape relative to a membrane is kept between two bond lines on a membrane (3,4). A roboticized tape positioning and bonding head inside, and a bond activation head outside of a membrane can position relative to a membrane (3,4) by means of printed positioning marks, optical and proximity sensors to create the bond lines (2).
Film securing apparatus and method
An apparatus may include a film support roller supporting a film roll and a housing that may include a sealing portion having an aperture sized to receive a top portion of a container. The housing may define a film path leading from the film roll to the sealing portion. A guide support assembly may have a ramp and at least one guide truss positioned along the film path. The ramp and the guide truss may guide the film across the aperture within the sealing portion, covering the aperture. The motor may advance the film along the film path. The heating element may emanate energy. The controller may cause the motor to advance the film onto the ramp and cause the heating element to emanate energy to cause the film to seal the top portion of the container.
PACKING METHOD AND PACKING MACHINE
In a packing method, the band divided into blocks each having a length necessary for one packing of a package object in a longitudinal direction is used, and a mark is provided at a predetermined position in each of the blocks so as to arrange a boundary portion between the blocks on a blade provided in a sealing unit when the mark is detected at a detection position provided on a band feeding path of the packing machine. By performing a position alignment process of retracting the band by the roller unit from a state of which the band is fed until when at least one of the boundary portions passes over the blade, and terminating the retracting when the mark is detected at the detection position, the boundary portion is arranged above the blade, thereby the band can always be accurately cut at the boundary portion.
Method and an apparatus for packaging articles
A method and an apparatus for forming packages including plasters enclosed between two opposite flexible sheets having their edges joined by means of a thermally-activated adhesive.
FILM SECURING APPARATUS AND METHOD
An apparatus includes a body portion configured to house a film roll that has a length of film and a sealing portion configured to receive at least a top portion of a container. The sealing portion includes an aperture sized to receive the top portion of the container therethrough. The body portion defines a film path leading from the film roll to the sealing portion. The apparatus includes a nip defined by a drive roller and a pinch roller. The nip is positioned along the film path and configured to receive a portion of the film therethrough. The pinch roller is adjustable in relation to the drive roller. The apparatus includes a motor configured to operate the drive roller, a heating element, and a controller. The controller is configured to cause the motor to operate and to cause the heating element to activate.
