INJECTION MOULDING METHOD FOR THE PRODUCTION OF MOULDED PARTS, MOULDED PART PRODUCED BY MEANS OF INJECTION MOULDING AND ALSO INJECTION MOULD
The present invention relates to a method for the production of injection-moulded, reinforced moulded parts, the fibre orientation of which is specifically adjusted on a local basis. Via suitable, dynamically controlled supplementary heating in the wall of the injection mould which is used (variotherm heatable channel), a local cavity region is hereby heated at the time of injection to a temperature in the region of or above the solidification temperature (in any case above the crystallisation temperature in the case of partially crystalline plastic materials or above the glass transition temperature in the case of amorphous plastic materials) of the polymer (plastic material moulding compound).

COMPOSITE WING STRUCTURE AND METHODS OF MANUFACTURE
A method of manufacturing a tiltrotor wing structure including providing a spar mold having a plurality of bores extending from an exterior surface of the mold to an interior surface of the mold, the plurality of bores corresponding to a plurality of primary coordination holes in a spar member, the spar mold having a periphery defined by a top edge, a bottom edge and outboard ends; selecting a plurality of resin impregnated plies to ensure that the plies continuously extend beyond the periphery of the spar mold; laying the plies in the spar mold; curing the plies in the mold to form a cured spar member that extends beyond the periphery of the spar mold; and accurately drilling a plurality of primary coordination holes in the cured spar member in the spar mold using a tool positioned in the plurality of bores.
Method of manufacturing composite material structure
A seal member formed in a line shape having ends is inserted in a seal groove formed on at least one of adjacent side surfaces of segments. A lip portion is provided on a seal upper portion of the member so at least a tip end thereof projects to an outside of the seal groove when the member is inserted in the groove. The seal member is hollow or includes a concave portion on at least a seal bottom portion thereof. When assembling the segments as a single structure, the adjacent side surfaces of the segments are coupled to each other, and the seal member is crushed in a cross sectional direction by the side surface of the other segment to seal between the segments. With this, complication of manufacturing steps can be suppressed or avoided while realizing a satisfactory sealed state between the adjacent segments of a mold.
Remote detection of induction weld temperature
Systems and methods are provided for controlling welding. One embodiment is a method for controlling welding of a composite part. The method includes locating a linear fiber optic sensor along a composite part comprising a matrix of thermoplastic reinforced by fibers, measuring temperatures along the weld line via the linear fiber optic sensor, performing induction welding at the composite part along the weld line, determining a continuum of weld temperatures along the weld line, and controlling the induction welding based on the continuum of weld temperatures.

Data acquisition for liquid composite molding
A method for in-situ data acquisition comprises providing a mold, wherein at least a portion of the mold is transparent, inserting a liquid composite molding reinforcement into a cavity of the mold, injecting a fluid into the cavity of the mold, the fluid comprising a fluorescent dye, lighting the mold with an ultraviolet lighting source and capturing a plurality of images of a front portion of the fluid as the fluid advances within the cavity of the mold. Capturing the plurality of images of a front portion of the fluid may include advancing a camera along a camera track as the fluid advances within the cavity of the mold. A corresponding method and computer program product for processing images captured by the above method are also disclosed herein.
