Method for forming a rotor blade for a wind turbine
The present disclosure is directed to a method for forming a wind turbine rotor blade. The method includes placing first and second prefabricated skin panels defining a portion of a root section of the wind turbine rotor blade, a pressure side of the wind turbine rotor blade, or a suction side of the wind turbine rotor blade in a mold. The first and second prefabricated skin panels partially overlap to define a connection region. A vacuum bag is placed over the mold. The connection region is infused with a resin.

METHOD FOR SECURING CORE TO TOOL DURING MACHINING
A method for preparing a part using a rigid tool surface having a shape. The method includes applying a breather sheet comprising gas-permeable material over the rigid tool surface. A vacuum bag is applied over the breather sheet, and a vacuum pressure is applied underneath the vacuum bag to conform the breather sheet and the vacuum bag to the shape of the rigid tool surface. A resin pre-impregnated ply is applied over the vacuum bag, and the part is positioned over the ply.
PRESSURE VESSEL AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME
A method of manufacturing a pressure vessel, may include a preparation step of preparing a boss made of metal; a processing step of processing a concave-convex pattern on an external surface of the boss; and a winding step of winding a reinforcing material around an external surface of a liner including the boss so that the reinforcing material is disposed on the concave-convex pattern, improving quality and durability of the pressure vessel and reducing a defect rate.

Electrothermal heater mat
In manufacturing an electrothermal heater mat, there is provided a preform which comprises a laminated stack of dielectric layers which are made of thermoplastic material and include a central layer or group of layers which include(s) reinforcement and first and second outer groups of layers which do not include reinforcement. The preform includes a heater element and the preform has a first configuration. The preform is then heated to a temperature (e.g. 180° C.) between the glass-transition temperature of the thermoplastic material and the melting point of the thermoplastic material, and the heated preform is formed into a second configuration which is different to the first configuration so as to produce the heater mat.
APPARATUS, MOLD SET, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING METAL-RESIN COMPOSITE
Molding accuracy of a metal member is improved in an apparatus, a mold set, and a method for producing a metal-resin composite with a set of molds. An apparatus for manufacturing a metal-resin composite by press molding a metal member and a resin material, the apparatus including a mold including an upper mold and a lower mold sandwiching the metal member and the resin material, a molding auxiliary component detachably fixed to the upper mold so as to fill at least a part of a cavity C for arranging the resin material formed by the upper mold and the lower mold, and a drive unit that moves at least one of the upper mold and the lower mold in a vertical direction. The molding auxiliary component has a first press surface for molding the metal member. The upper mold has a second press surface for integrally molding the metal member and the resin material. A distance between the first press surface and the lower mold in a state where the molding auxiliary component is attached is shorter than a distance between the second press surface and the lower mold in a state where the molding auxiliary component is removed.
Pivoting fastener assembly and method for manufacturing same
A pivoting fastener assembly for securely fastening a panel in spaced relation to a support backing, and a method of manufacturing the same. The fastener assembly includes: a magnet-carrier assembly that includes a magnet that is fixed to a carrier member; and a base member that includes a base portion and a pivoting portion. The pivoting portion includes a head, a trunk, and an extension portion that is connected to the base portion. The extension portion includes a top side that connects a first peripheral surface to a second peripheral surface of the extension portion. A first end of the trunk is connected to the top side of the extension portion and a second end of the trunk is connected to the head. The base member is a unitary piece, and the head of the pivoting portion engages and retains the carrier member of the magnet-carrier assembly.
HOSE, METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING HOSE, AND HYDRAULIC PUMP
Provided are a hose excelling in a lightweight property and in fatigue fracture resistance, a method for manufacturing the hose, and a hydraulic pump. The hose includes a tube, an interior of the tube being hollow, continuous carbon fibers and/or continuous glass fibers wound around an outer circumference of the tube, and a thermosetting resin present external to the tube. The thermosetting resin has an elastic modulus from 0.5 to 10 MPa, and the continuous carbon fibers and/or continuous glass fibers are impregnated with at least a part of the thermosetting resin. The elastic modulus of the thermosetting resin is a numeric value determined by: heating the thermosetting resin for 2 hours at a curing temperature of the thermosetting resin; then subjecting the thermosetting resin to thermoregulation for two weeks under a condition of a temperature of 23° C. and a relative humidity of 55%; and then performing a measurement in accordance with JIS K7161:2019.
