Curing repair resin
The present invention provides a repair resin composition for repairing breaks in a vehicle windscreen and curing units for curing the repair resin after it has been inserted into the break. The present invention also provides a method of repairing a vehicle windscreen, comprising inserting a resin into a repair zone, wherein the resin comprises a photoinitiator that activates when exposed to light of an activation wavelength, wherein the activation wavelength is between 370 nm and 425 nm, and curing the resin by emitting light including light within the activation wavelength range onto the repair zone.
PORTABLE COMPRESSOR FOR A TIRE REPAIR KIT
A portable compressor for a tire repair kit comprises an adaptor mobile or removable from a force transmitting use position, the adaptor having an upper edge projecting with respect to an outer side wall of the compressor and defining a seat for a container of sealing fluid, the upper edge being spaced in use from a surface on which the compressor rests; and being configured to define a side support by means of a force transmission to the compressor to oppose an excessive inclination of the container of sealing fluid during the injection of sealing fluid by means of pressurized air.
BONDING APPARATUS AND BONDING METHOD
The bonding apparatus of the present invention is an apparatus that bonds a patch containing a reinforcing fiber to a bonded section of a corner section CR of an object member. The bonding apparatus has s heater mat, a pushing member, a bag member having a decompression port, a mold releasing film, a breather, a heater mat and a sealant. A pushing member has a first cowl plate, a second cowl plate and an elastic pressuring body. A pressuring section of the pushing member has the surface shape corresponding to a corner section design value after the patch is bonded. By protruding from a gap between a first cowl plate and a second cowl plate to a direction of the corner section CR, the patch is pushed to the bonded section and the generation of a wrinkle in the reinforcing fiber can be prevented.
Agent for Provisionally Sealing Inflatable or Pressurizable Objects and Method for Provisionally Sealing Inflatable or Pressurizable Objects
The invention relates to an agent for provisionally sealing inflatable or pressurizable objects, in particular pneumatic vehicle tyres, containing at least one rubber latex and at least a first antifreeze. The invention also relates to a method for provisionally sealing inflatable or pressurizable objects, in particular pneumatic vehicle tyres. The agent has a total solids content of rubber latex and adhesive resin of 3 to 30% by weight and the antifreeze is/are selected from the group consisting of 1,2-propane diol and 1,3-propane diol and 1,2-butane diol and 1,3-butane diol and glycerin and triethylene glycol and 0 to 9% by weight ethylene glycol.
NOZZLE ASSEMBLY FOR REPAIRING OR UPGRADING WIND BLADES, METHOD THEREOF AND KIT FOR THE SAME
This invention relates generally to a nozzle, method thereof and a kit set for the same for spreading material on curved surface, in the field of repairing services for wind turbine blades and other similar composite components. More particularly, the present invention relates to a nozzle for spreading material on a leading edge of a wind turbine blade for guiding the material along the surface, generally, for repairing or upgrading. In addition it relates to a method and a kit for performing the application.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR VISCOUS MATERIAL VACUUM DEAERATION, AND SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR DEPOSITING COMPOUNDS IN A STRUCTURE
Presently disclosed systems and methods for depositing a compound into a void in a sandwich panel or other structure are configured to reduce the air pressure in and around the void as the compound flows into the void, thereby reducing the amount of air trapped between the compound and the sandwich panel skin (under the compound, within the void) during the repair. Additionally or alternatively, presently disclosed systems and methods for deaerating a compound are configured to remove trapped air from the compound prior to use of the compound (e.g., prior to depositing the compound within a void for repairing the void). In some examples, the same system is configured to both deaerate the compound and deposit the deaerated compound to the void, all while in a reduced air pressure environment inside a vacuum chamber.
CASING SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PIPELINE REINFORCEMENT AND REPAIR
A system for the repair or reinforcement of a pipeline includes a casing having a dimension to envelope a damaged portion of the pipeline, such that a space is defined between an inner surface of the casing and an outer periphery of the pipeline. An injection port is positioned along the casing and is in selective communication with the space. A cap assembly is frictionally attached to the casing and the pipeline, after which time an injectable material is selectively injected through the injection port until filling a substantial entirety of the space.
Apparatus and Method for Subsea Liquid Mixing and Sampling
A submersible mixing and sampling apparatus with submersible supply systems (12, 14) for first and second liquid components such as a thermoset resin and a curing agent is disclosed. Each supply system has a respective submersible tank (24) for holding a respective one of the liquid components. Submersible mixers (46, 48, 50) downstream of the supply systems mix the liquid components underwater to form a curable mixture for injection into a subsea chamber such as a tee (102). Submersible sampling devices downstream of the mixers take samples (94) of the mixture underwater before, during and after injection, and optionally also at the surface. The samples may be cured and tested underwater or may be lifted to the surface for testing. The apparatus may be mounted on a subsea skid (100) or basket.
Multi-layer pipe tubing repair systems and methods
Techniques for implementing and/or operating a pipeline system that includes a pipe segment and a pipe repair assembly. The pipe segment includes tubing having an inner barrier layer that defines a pipe bore through the pipe segment, an intermediate layer including solid strip wraps implemented around the inner barrier layer such that gaps are defined between adjacent solid strip wraps, and an outer barrier layer implemented around the intermediate layer. The pipe repair assembly includes an auxiliary patch secured at least across a break in a solid strip wrap in the intermediate layer of the pipe segment that is exposed by a hole in the outer barrier layer of the pipe segment; and outer material disposed over the auxiliary patch via an injection machine to fill the hole in the outer barrier layer of the pipe segment.
Systems And Methods For Evacuated Injection Repair Of Bondline Voids
In an example, a method is described. The method comprises forming a single hole into a bond gap repair area. The method also comprises evacuating, via an adhesive injection apparatus attached to the single hole, the bond gap repair area and an injection channel of the adhesive injection apparatus. The method also comprises forcing adhesive through the evacuated injection channel and into the evacuated bond gap repair area.
