METHOD FOR REPAIRING TIRE TREAD USING A PATCH MADE VIA THREE-DIMENSIONAL PRINTING
Various method for repairing a tire tread are provided. In one embodiment, a method for repairing a tire tread is provided, the method comprising: providing a tire having a tire tread portion, wherein the tire tread portion includes at least one of a tread block and a tread rib, and wherein at least one of the tread block and the tread rib includes a void resulting from wear or damage of the tire tread portion; scanning the void with a 3D scanner to create a 3D computer model of the void; generating a negative of the void via the 3D computer model, the negative corresponding to a positive removed element representing the material removed from the void; 3D printing a removed element copy using a polymer material; applying an adhesive to at least one surface of the void; applying the removed element copy to the void; and curing the adhesive.

TIRE REPAIR TOOL AND METHOD OF REPAIRING A TIRE PUNCTURE WITH TIRE PLUGS
A tire repair tool assembly includes a tool body, at least one tire plug, a plug storage cap, and a hollow tube. The tool body may have a first end and a second end opposite the first end, the tool body having a storage compartment within the tool body, the storage compartment having an opening at the first end. The plug storage cap may be operably coupled to the first end of the tool body. The hollow tube may be sized to receive a first end of the at least one tire plug within the hollow tube, the hollow tube extending from the second end of the tool body and having a tip distal from the second end of the tool body. The tire repair assembly may further include a tool body case having a closed end and an open compartment within the tool body case.

MACHINING METHOD, APPLICATION TOOL, AND MACHINING ARRANGEMENT FOR MODIFYING OR REPAIRING A SURFACE SPOT OF A WORKPIECE SURFACE OF A FIBER COMPOSITE WORKPIECE
To reduce the processing time in the case of repairing of excessively countersunk bolt openings or surface damage in fiber composite workpieces, it is proposed to countersink the corresponding surface spot to produce a contact surface and a depression for a fiber composite insert body. The fiber composite insert body is placed onto the contact surface and is fixed on the fiber composite workpiece in the depression. In the case of an excessively countersunk bolt opening, a new bolt opening is drilled into the fiber composite insert body, which new bolt opening is subsequently countersunk to the correct countersunk bore depth. In the case of the method, a three-legged application tool can be used which positions and orients the fiber composite insert body correctly and presses it onto the fiber composite workpiece during the curing of the adhesive.

REPAIR PATCH, METHOD FOR MOLDING REPAIR PATCH, METHOD FOR REPAIRING COMPOSITE MATERIAL, AND MOLDING JIG
A repair patch includes a composite material to repair a a repair target of a composite material. The repair patch includes bonding surfaces which face a bonded surface of a counterbored hole formed in the part to be repaired, and are bonded to the counterbored hole; and an opposite surface opposite to the bonding surfaces in a thickness direction. The opposite surface has a curved plane with a first surface side curvature radius protruding toward the opposite surface in a cross section cut along a plane intersecting an axial direction in the opposite surface. The bonded surface has a curved plane with a second surface side curvature radius protruding toward the bonding surfaces facing the bonded surface in a cross section cut along a plane intersecting an axial direction in the bonded surface. The first surface side curvature radius is smaller than the second surface side curvature radius.
