A method for repair of a damaged stiffened panel of isogrid type, wherein the repair method comprises a step of removal of material with the aim of removing at least one damaged rib and also steps of fitting at least one structural reinforcement connecting at least two nodes positioned about the damaged zone and of at least one wall reinforcement connecting the wall of the stiffened panel and the structural reinforcement.

A method for repairing damage to a composite part includes creating an aperture through the composite part and preparing the surfaces surrounding the aperture on both sides of the part; inserting a plurality of resin impregnated fibers through the aperture and spreading the end portions of the plurality of fibers radially against the prepared surfaces on both sides of the part; and maintaining contact of the plurality of fibers with the prepared surfaces while the resin cures.

The patch can be used to quickly repair a ruptured tubeless tire, for example of a mountain bike, without the need of adding a tire tube within the tire.

An apparatus for patching a tubeless tire includes a patch; a washer centrally located on the patch; a fastener extending from the washer; and a cap engageable with the fastener, whereby the patch can be mounted in a tear of a tubeless tire with the patch on an inside of the tear and the cap on the outside of the tear. The method comprises: inserting an insert in the hole; placing a composite patch having a multiplicity of curved flexible members on one side of the composite parent structure in a position where a central portion of the composite patch overlies the insert and the flexible members confront opposing portions of the composite parent structure providing adhesive between the composite patch, the insert, and the composite parent structure; pressing the composite patch against the composite parent structure with sufficient pressure to force the flexible members to conform to the shape of the composite parent structure; and while the flexible members are in a stressed state, curing the adhesive in a manner that causes the flexible members to bond to the parent structure.

A method for patching a hole in a composite parent structure. A patch kit and method for repairing a tear in a sidewall of an off-road vehicle tire includes an inside patch component, an outside patch component, and a compressing component for assembling, joining and compressing the inner and outer patch components together with the tire sidewall sandwiched therebetween. The compressing component is a threaded rod and a nut or bolt head to dispose on both ends. The inside and outside patch components are rigid or semi-rigid cupped shells with a hole for the threaded rod, so that the rod may pass through the patches and the tear for compression by tightening a nut. To facilitate tire repair without removing the tire from its rim, a recovery cable is temporarily connected to pull together repair components after they are separately pushed through the tear into the tire.
