TIRE SEALANT
An efficient tire sealant that is environmentally friendly or less damaging to the environment, which is characterized by a high stability, good processability, and safe application. The tire sealant includes approximately 5 wt. % to approximately 50 wt. % of a bio-based aliphatic diol; approximately 5 wt. % to approximately 70 wt. % natural rubber latex; and approximately 0.001 wt. % to approximately 10 wt. % of a water-soluble polymer as an additive for adjusting and/or influencing a freezing point of the tire sealant.
TIRE SEALANT AND TIRE REPAIR KIT
The object of the present invention is to provide a tire sealant and tire repair kit having excellent injectability. The present invention is a tire sealant containing a natural rubber latex, a synthetic resin emulsion, an anti-freezing agent, and at least one type of substance selected from the group consisting of a compound A represented by the following formula (1) and an anti-desiccant, a content of the substance being 0.3 to 10 mass %; and a tire repair kit using the same.
##STR00001##
In formula (1), R.sup.1 is an amino group, a hydrogen atom, or a hydrocarbon group; and R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 are each independently a hydrocarbon group optionally comprising a heteroatom, or a hydrogen atom.
PUNCTURE SEALING AGENT AND PUNCTURE REPAlR SYSTEM
A puncture sealing agent is disclosed which comprises natural rubber latex, an aqueous solution of an adhesive, and an antifreezing agent. The natural rubber latex, the aqueous solution of the adhesive and the antifreezing agent are natural components and the adhesive is a carbohydrate.
GLASS REPAIR KIT AND METHOD
A portable glass repair kit system and method, more particularly, for windshield repair for laminated glass and the like to provide an easy to use, highly portable, and economical glass repair kit. The glass repair kit does not require specialized equipment such as an injector, plugger device, suction cups, or require any additional tools or specialized knowledge of how to use the repair kit. The glass repair kit contains a resin which may be urged by a user through slight pressure after the glass repair kit is adhered over an impact point and any cracks thereby repairing a windshield in a more cost effective, time efficient, and user friendly way.
Tire with specified bead structure and self-sealing product and wheel assembly with same
A tire has a form of a torus that is open radially on an inside portion. The tire includes inner and outer walls, a crown, two sidewalls, two beads, a crown reinforcement, and a carcass reinforcement anchored in the beads and extending at least from the beads as far as the crown. The inner wall is covered at least in part with an airtight layer, and the airtight layer is covered at least in part with a layer of a self-sealing product. Each of the beads includes an annular reinforcing structure, with each annular reinforcing structure being formed of a plurality of windings of a single metal thread. The windings are arranged in a plurality of radially superposed layers, with each layer having a group of the windings arranged axially in a side by side manner, such that the superposed layers have a hexagonal cross section.
SELF-HEALING ACRYLIC COPOLYMER, CROSSLINKED COPOLYMER PREPARED FROM THE ACRYLIC COPOLYMER AND METHOD FOR LOW-TEMPERATURE SELF-HEALING OF THE CROSSLINKED COPOLYMER
Disclosed is a self-healing acrylic copolymer represented by Formula 1:
##STR00001##
The acrylic copolymer can self-heal structural damages such as scratches with the aid of heat and water and possesses excellent physical properties at room temperature. Also disclosed is a crosslinked copolymer prepared from the acrylic copolymer.
Microcapsules having dual reagents for forming a self-healing material separated by the capsule wall and methods for making same
Rupturable, dual reagent mono-capsules are disclosed that have a core composition, which includes a carboxylic acid, encapsulated within a phenolic resin-containing polymer wall that ruptures upon exposure to alkaline conditions over a period of time, and a shell connected to an exterior surface of the polymer wall by a surfactant. The shell is made from a mineral containing a metal that is chemically bonded to the surfactant by a chemical electrostatic interaction. Upon rupture of the polymer wall of the mono-capsule, the carboxylic acid and the mineral containing the metal chemically react with one another to form a reaction product that seals a rupture in the capsule and/or seals a feature of a surface upon which the capsules are disposed.
ELASTOMERIC COMPOSITIONS AND THEIR APPLICATIONS
The present disclosure relates to self-sealing silicone sealant and/or gel compositions cured via a condensation cure chemistry and to their use subsequent to cure as puncture-resistant layers in any type of inflatable article, i.e. articles which take their functional shape after inflation with a suitable gas such as air. The present disclosure also relates to silicone materials, e.g. elastomers and/or gels obtained subsequent to curing said compositions designed to function as self-sealing tire puncture material, i.e. to seal puncture holes in the tread region of tires if/when punctured by a foreign body.
